I signed a general contracts agreement with ******* to install a new roof. The salesman came to the house and gave me a quote. I explained that I could only pay 160.00 per month payment plan, as I am on social security and cannot afford a penny more. I said that if he could not find a company that would stick to the 160.00 a month that I could not have the work done.He said he found a company that would agree to the terms I needed, he never mentioned the name of the company. At this time I signed a general contractors agreement for 28,296.00, CAT Tax 161.29 total 28,457.29 due on completion. I also signed other documents notice of cancellation, lead paint, property damage etc. I noticed a error on the general contractors agreement that stated I would pay 28,457.29 on completion. I called the salesman the next morning and explained the error. I then signed a new document 4/22/23. The roof was then completed. I then received a bill from a Power Pay company (I had never heard of this company before), on 6/6/23 it was for a payment due each month for 324.39. I then called ******* and talked to the salesman that I had been working with and asked what this was all about, that there must be an error. I said we agreed that I could not pay more than 160.00 per month. He said he would look into it and get back to me, he never did. I emailed him but my email was returned blocked. I also called Power Pay and said that I never agreed to pay 324.39 a month and that I could not afford these payments. Power pay said they had a signed contract by me for this payment plan. I asked to send me a copy of this contract because I did not have a copy. Power pay said they would send me a link so that I could download a copy and that it could take up to 4 hrs to get the link sent. I never received the link that day or any of the 6 times I called or emailed them the request for the loan contract. I have tried over a month to get a copy and now am overdue on the payment. I never signed any agreement with Power pay and want to see this contract that I supposedly signed.
