We started the process of buying a 2016 **** ******* from Car-lotta car sales in September 2023 The car we put 1,000 deposit on was needing repair and they would contact us when it was ready. We did not get the vehicle until October 6th 2023. We took the car home and immediately there was an issue the tire pressure light was on and the car shook when the brake was engaged. Monday October 9th on my way to work the check engine light comes on. I contacted Car-lotta was rudely told I needed to speak with service coordinator. I called the service line and was sent to VM. Issue still not resolved.

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:
Car was picked up october 12th at approximately 4:45 pm. Carlotta stated that the check engine light was fixed. Prior to taking to the vehicle in i had the light code ran. The code came up as a fuel pump. The service manager told me upon drop of to have the car fixed she did not believe what i had told her was the problem even with paperwork stating that the fuel pump was the problem. Once i picked the vehicle up i drove no more than 10 miles and the light popped on yet again. As i did the first time i got the code checked. Again the scanner said fuel pump. The fuel pump was not fixed and/or replaced. Carlotta replaced the o2 sensor. Although the vibrate at idle was handled the light and cause of the light were not resolved to the fullest and/or proper extent. I had called carlotta within 5 minutes of the light coming in again at 5:42am October 13th. I called a 2nd time once they had opened and the lady who i spoke to told me the car was still able to be driven. Correct for now until the fuel pump fails and causes the car to he inoperable that i purchased not even 2 weeks ago from this company.

We bought a car for 1500 down on july 24th and it has been in the shop twice already, going on a third time now. We got a lemon and want our money back or a different car. The car shuts off randomly and is a huge safety hazard.

******************** and co signer *************************** purchased a  2011 ********** ***** on July 24th,2023. This vehicle has a 6 month or 6 thousand mile warranty.  This vehicle warranty does have a $100.00 deductible.

On August 4th the customer contacted our service department regarding a check engine  and EPC light  that had come on  and the vehicle had stalled out-  a service appointment was made for August 7th.  August 7th the vehicle was dropped off for service .  Our technician  scanned the vehicle and found codes ***** and vehicle *****- both related to crank sensor- technician  replaced  crank sensor and road-tested for 10 miles documenting that the vehicle was driving fine but that a crank sensor may cause a stall condition.   The customers were contacted at 1:43 pm to be made aware the car was ready and there was no charge.

Customer  returned to our office on August 8th  at 12:10 pm stating that the vehicle would not start-  after starting there were multiple indicator lights    on- after restarting and the *** light remained on-   We suggested the customer leave the vehicle with us so we could address this concern that day.   Upon diagnosing the tech found  code P0322  for a crank sensor.  Although this part was covered under a parts warranty policy from the  parts warehouse, we opted to purchase a **********  OEM  ** part. After part installation the vehicle was re road tested  and  no codes or conditions returned. Customers were contacted to make them aware the car was ready at 2:55 pm.  Customers were given a $50.00 ****** gift card  because of the inconvenience for having to being the vehicle back.  There was no charge.
On  August 16th  there was a voice mail left on our service line regarding a service issue. Our service coordinator returned that call  at 5:04 pm and  left a message. We are waiting for a response from customer to address any concerns.

We value our customers and strive for 100% satisfaction.  We do understand that vehicles are mechanical and do at times have issues.  We aim to address any/all issues in  timely manner but do understand that it there are times it may take more than one visit to correct a concern.

On 3/4/23 I went to CarLotta in hopes to obtain a quality vehicle. I already had a vehicle before from them and trusted it, but the vehicle needed front end work. I waited from 3/4-3/11/23 for the **** ******* I was approved for to be ready as it was being worked on. I was also told it was "good to go" upon delivery 3/11/23 however since then there has been 14 notable issues with the vehicle. Yes, CarLotta did see my vehicle pre-sale & back twice within the 30 days since my original visit on 3/4/23 but still the vehicle is in need of repairs & some of my issues are deemed non-issues by the service department. The vehicle was inspected 3/10/23, sold on 3/11/23 and since then I have contacted the dealership on numerous occasions. They originally scheduled me on 3/16/23 for repairs & it was determined that the windshield spray nozzle, rear defrost, transfer case & multicluster switch all needed replaced. These are items that may not be necessary for PA state inspection but are obviously important repairs that should not have been missed during the week long timeframe they were working on the vehicle pre-sale. Unaddressed was the concern I had about rubbing, grinding noises & rough shifts/clunking when braking from 5-0mph. These were all blown off as non-issues. Since then the vibrating noises & rubbing is worse. I also had the vehicle looked over at another mechanic who explained the R&P steering is experiencing a leak. This was addressed by CarLotta again on 4/4/23 which I had to pay a check & advise fee. NONE of my concerns were actually repaired during this visit, and every issue I brought to the attention of CarLotta was actually written off as non-issues. The rotors are warped and less than 30 days old. A replacement part was not offered. When I suggested that the rotors could have been defective I was told I would still have to pay labor. I did not buy this vehicle with the intention of spending more money in repairs for a vehicle that was "good to go" pre-sale..

As a courtesy, we waived the  service deductible. The date of service  the vehicle has 130960 miles. The following are items our  service addressed at that appointment :

*** ******** telephoned on March  28th  for a burning smell that he states  was experiencing after driving the vehicle for an extended period of time.  He was scheduled to bring the vehicle  for service on April 5th.  *** ******** telephoned and left several messages over the weekend of April 1st/2nd  regarding additional items that he wanted addressed. We spoke to the customer and advised we would address all issues and offered an appointment a day prior, April 4th,   since we had a customer  cancel.

The following is a list *** ******** concerns that were addressed when he brought the vehicle on April 4th   for service  - miles at time were 133862-  the amount of $53.00 was collected towards the  service deductible.
Customer states there is a burning smell- seems to happen after the vehicle is driven for awhile. No Problem Found-  tech drove vehicle 18 miles, did not notice any abnormal smells. No Repair Made

Customer states too much clunking in between gears beyond 0-5mph. This occurs at 25mph, 35mph as well -. No Problem Found- did not feel any transmission shifting abnormalities. No Repair Made
Customer picked up vehicle and was not charged   the balance of the service deductible as a courtesy.

Please be advised we are addressing all of the customers concerns and making necessary repairs  and will continue to honor his warranty. We  have advised *** ******** that the nature of his current employment and the continuous stop and go may be contributing to any issues he may be experiencing while braking which in turn may be causing excessive heating to the rotors. We advised that upgrading to a fleet service pad/rotor may to help his issue. *** ******** did ask of perhaps the rotors would be covered under warranty and was advised if they were it would be parts only- it would not cover labor.  After further review, our shop foreman advised that the issue with the rotors does not appear to be a defective part but caused due to excessive heating of the rotors.  The brake pads are measuring at 10/32md. This would not be a warranty item.

We purchased a car from Car-Lotta Credit. a little over a year ago it ran maybe 2 -3 months and then broke down took it back to them they said they fixed it ran another week and broke down. put our own money into it and still does not run. They refuse to take it back it has now been sitting for over a year and has not been driven. We paid over half of the payments and just can not do it any more for a car that really has never ran which they can clearly see on there gps they have on the vehicle. They said if we give it back it is a repo but the vehicle has been a lemon since we had it.

In October  of  2022 our sales team reached out  to see if ******** was interested in trading for a vehicle and she advised us that she would think about it. There was no mention of any service related issues during that call.

Since receipt of this complaint, Car-Lotta service contacted ***************************** to see if there was anything we can do to help with any service issues she may be experiencing. ******** advised that she has recently re located to ******* and the vehicles is  in possession of the co buyer. A phone call was then placed to ***** with the same intent.  ***** said she would get  back in touch with us.  As of the writing of this response, the co buyer has not called us back.

Thank you for taking time to review this matter.

        Re: ****

Our records indicate that  ******** ****** and ***** **** purchased a 2011 ******* ****** on April 6th, 2021 with the miles being 170208. The vehicle warranty, as with all of our vehicles, is 6 months or six thousand miles.  When the vehicle was brought in for service  on February 27, 2023, the current miles are 184,596.  The vehicle is out of the warranty period by both time and miles.

We did reach out to the co buyer  on March 7, 2023  at 3:15 pm to advised her of this and that the vehicle is in need of engine. She informed us that she will speak to her son and call  us back

We would be willing to work out a payment arrangement with the customer since an engine repair is a high dollar amount.

Thank you for reviewing this matter.

I purchased a car from Carlotta Credit in August. Starting immediately in August I found multiple issues with the vehicle condition not being up to par. The entire heat and air system in the car did not work. I can not turn the knobs to adjust temperature or fan position. There was a CD stuck and jammed in the player, the electric outlet doesn’t work, half lights on dashboard do not work & the rear doors don’t open properly. I contacted carlotta service department about this in early September and the woman in service department is short and rude every time you speak with her. She told me this is not something covered by their warranty. If I even wanted them to LOOK at the issue I would need to pay $53 and then a $100 deductible if they even decided to fix anything. I already pay over 400 dollars a month for 07 **** with 140k miles on it. I recently had another issue with the car randomly not starting and leaving me stranded. Filed a complaint and spoke with manager *****, who told me he would waive service fee, bring car in asap and they would look at it and repair. Any issues, I can request to speak with him and he would handle. Brought car to them today 01/04/23 and was called to advise they will fix heating issue but can't recreate starter problem so aren't going to address it. Manager ***** was rude and disrespectful when I pressed the issue about needing to make sure the car is going to start and not leave me stranded with my 5 month old in the cold as it has done 6 times now. He said he will just get his “crystal ball” and make something happen. I stated that I purchased a car, I expect it to run correctly and not have these issues and he said you knew what you were purchasing. I am requesting my car be fully repaired and brought to proper running and selling condition or they provide me with a new car if I am expected to continue making monthly payments. The rude staff and disrespect to the customers should probably be addressed to.

Carlotta credit basically sold me a lemon. ******** and ***** and the Blakely location are absolutely pleasant to work with. They sold me a vehicle that worked for about 3 weeks then it wouldn't go over 2 RPMs (40mph)overheat and mis fire. I replaced all coils and sensors and had it seen where they put a new water pump in and computer (used) not even a few weeks later the **** will only go 25 miles per hour max speed and lucky if it's two RPMs.****** and customer service/payment. Is very rude and doesn't look fully into payments and tries to get you to make extra payments. I told him that I was done with the vehicle multiple times and I even offered to drive it back so they didn't have to tow it, his only advice is to have it come in to get seen the wave the fee if it's something wrong with their vehicle they overpriced them to begin with and after doing research the vehicle is only worth $1,000 it's a 2006 *******. Not only are they overcharging but they are selling vehicles that do not work very long and by the time problems arise warranty is almost completely over they told me that 6 months or 6,000 miles whichever came last I didn't even have my vehicle 6 months and they were telling me it was out of warranty. I do agree to pay off the service payments that I've been making payments on but I do not want this **** and I want them to take it back it is not safe for anybody to be in especially my child I do not play around when it comes to the safety of my child or my passengers. I don't even feel comfortable driving it. I understand that it will be a voluntary possession and it will affect my credit score but in all honesty I don't care what my score is because I am not going to put any life in danger because they have failed to do their job when fixing what they said was wrong and failing to properly inspect the vehicle they told me everything was just inspected when I got it which turns out to be untrue. Thank you, *******
