Dear BBB Staff, Please note I have asked someone to translate this into English for me. I am Spanish and do not speak English. Wawa has used this against me during this. Now over a month ago now my tire was damaged by Equipment at a Wawa Location. The manager there tried to leave me stranded, but I manage to receive support from his higher ups for a moment. But I had to pay $20 for someone who was pumping gas to mount my spare tire and remove the one Wawa broke. I was told to fill out a forum and I would be contacted to be compensated for my tire I had to go buy and the $20. I was lied to. I was never contacted in Spanish. A woman name Beth at their corporate said I would, but I never was. My son called the 1-800 number and they said the people in charge of our case would call him at his phone number. They never did. I am out a lot of money stolen from be by Wawa and their lies. WAWA BET Case ******** ***********Initial Complaint

I had a negative experience with a delivery order. I contacted Wawa regarding the matter. They told me they were processing a refund and that I would have it within 5-7 business days. This email was sent to me on 4/22/2022. I never received the refund. I sent several more inquiries to them through their website. Finally, I received a response that they would process it again. This was on 5/10/2022. The refunded amount is supposed to be $27.89. The reference number for this interaction is: ********. I have given adequate time for this refund to be received. I continue to email customer service through their website and receive no response.Initial Complaint

I visited this store numerous of times and the coffee was extremely cold, with all containers. Also I ate out of the Wawa located at **** University in *********** *******. I got really sick.I asked for refund and they would not give it to me. The incidents took place in January and February this year 2022.I would like a refund in the amount of $35.00Initial Complaint

I ordered two large oven roasted turkey subs with double meat. Each sub had one slice of turkey, two thin slices of onion, one slice of tomato. When we returned home I called and was told they were busy and out of a lot most stuff!Initial Complaint

That on January 25, 2022 at 9:49 A I purchased unleaded gasoline in the amount of $44.80 dollars, 13.336 gallons at $3.359 per gallon. As I paid the bill on February 15, 2022, I did not get the 5 cts per gallon discount offered on the WAWA Credit card purchases. On February 17, 2022 at 10:03 AM I called ************ and spoke to a person named ***** at Wawa's Customer Service Department who advised me to contact their Recompense Department at ************, which is not a WAWA Customer Service Department but a company named **** ***** or ***** who advised e that they had nothing to do with WAWA. I called again WAWA Customer Service Department at ************ on February 17, 2022 at 10:49 AM and spopke to a WAWA Representative named Gio who advised e that I'll get the 5 Ct per gallon credit on this purchase when I make the next gasoline purchase and gave me a Reference Number *****. THIS IS A CASE OF BAIT AND SWITCH BY WAWA WHO OFFERED A 5 CTS PER GALLON ON THEIR CREDIT CARD PURCHASES IN EACH BILLING CYCLE AND THEN DON'T GIVE THE CREDIT AS AGREED. This is about WAWA Credit Card agreement as follow: Save 5 C every gallon, every day, every fill up on Wawa fuel purchases made with the Wawa Credit Card. Every time I have a problem with ordering food I contact wawa. I never hear back about a solution. I have sent hundreds of complaints, I stated I would contact the better business bureau if a solution is not in the works. I've asked to be contacted everytime. No phone call or email. The problem is placing orders. It's done electronically. So everything I select is printed on paper. When I get the food there is stuff missing. They forget to toast the food. They forget to put on the extras I paid for. Or they tell you after the fact of standing in line to pay than stand in line to get the food that they don't have it. I would like to come up with a solution to stop the problems. I have went in and told the employee behind the counter that they screwed up and they give mean attitude like it's my fault I didn't get what I paid for. I have talked to managers and told them these problems are getting old and something needscto be done about it. Nothing ever gets done. The survey cards wawa hands out are a joke, they don't pay attention to them.Initial Complaint

In November 2021 I received an email from Wawa offering a credit card through ******** claiming to discount 50 cents per gallon on Wawa fuel the first statement cycle, and discount 5 cent per gallon on Wawa fuel after the first statement cycle. I have been charged full price on all my Wawa fuel purchases and have contacted both Wawa and ******** with no resolve. My Wife signed up for the same card when I did and she has received all fuel discounts promised as per the credit card contract. Thank you.Initial Complaint

I had the displeasure of visiting your store located at ********************* Jacksonville Florida *******. I made an online order and attempted to use my birthday reward. I arrived to the store and was told the order was made but I have to check out at the register. I proceed to the register and show the cashier and was told by him that this was the wrong coupon for the drink I ordered. That I should have came in a got a red cup. I said why would I order online and then have to come in and fix the drink myself? That's why its online ordering. He insisted that I needed to come inside to use the birthday reward and chose a drink and make myself. Even when I repeated that the app doesn't state that . Please note the total on my order was $4.02 and here I am debating that online order doesn't mean come inside and fix. I even stated this. He then asked the person behind me - WHILE I WAS STILL WAITING if they only had a coffee. AND TOLD THE PERSON THEY COULD GO AHEAD AND LEAVE WITHOUT PAYING. I paid and stated I would file a complaint HE TOLD ME GO AHEAD I COULD. At this point I asked for the manager who I spoke with and made it clear that due to this location being in a predominantly low income ************************** there is a rudeness in the way customer are treated. Also recapped what just happened. The cashier did not want to hear the concern or resolve it. He was adamant regardless of the order being online I was to come inside and prepare the drink myself. Why would you have the option to order ahead only to arrive and be told that YOU CHOSE WRONG. I paid as the amount was a small as the cashiers level of comprehension. Sadly in communities of color the lack of customer care sadly is expected and happens too often.Initial Complaint

On 11/7/2021 I purchased fuel at the Wawa store # *** at *********************, Toms River. The signage outside the store and the employee indicated that there was a discount when a rewards member, of which I am, used the wawa app to purchase fuel.After purchasing fuel I looked at the receipt and NO DISCOUNT WAS APPLIED. The amount charged was the posted price for gas.Nobody at the store had any idea what was going on I accuse Wawa of false and deceptive business practices. I have been regularly using WaWa 2 years for gas. In fact I usually use a WaWa gift credit card. Virtually every time I have gone to WaWa #**** (******************, Altamonte Springs, FL *******) in the past 6 months, the gas pump receipt dispensors have malfunctioned, and I have had to go inside for my receipt. Every pump receipt dispensor has the problem. I am of advanced age, and frequently have to limp to go inside. Each time I have brought the matter to the attention of the manager, to no avail. WaWa needs to fix the receipt dispensors on all their pumps, or put a notice up that the dispensors are not working. No other station I go to has the problem.
