This guy is a fraud. He will request half the deposit up front. Then keep stalling and giving lame excuses why he cant work. He is not honest at all but claims to be a retired priest. I also got the impression that he does not have the skills he claimed to have. When ask for the deposit to be returned he claimed he did have it. He kept stalling and claiming he would have the deposit for months. He did return half the deposit and claimed he would have the other half when he got his check. This was a lie and he would not answer my calls or return my messages. I gave him a negative review on **** but I see he did it again to the reviewer above me. Hopefully this review saves someone else from dealing with a fraud.Review from mary jane k

George the Handiman from Angi's List took a $425 deposit; first phase of job was to replace broken garage door window pane; however, during this job phase he stated he was walking off the job when a dispute occurred when I insisted a broken glass pane be replaced by glass and not by plexiglass as agreed upon during deposit transaction; he stated he had plexiglass in his garage that he could use and/but I didn't want plexiglass. Also, he forgot the glass measurements from 2 days prior, asked to borrow tape measure - obviously was not professional/prepared. He refused short travel to ****** to obtain glass and informed me he was walking away from job when I told him ****** was about 5 miles away and cuts glass at no cost.He requested my quote paper copy; I requested by $425 deposit returned - he refused to refund me and I refused to give him my quote copy.He's applying for jobs via Angi's List and sub-contracting out phases of what he can't do.....I do not believe Angi's List allows for sub-contracting.
