November 2022 and the work is not only not complete but does not work at all This company said they would restore my box gutters for $22,000. The old gutters looked shabby but they worked The "restored" gutters do not work at all. Water no longer goes down the downspouts but pours over the edges and then into our basement. also, they damaged 2 slates on the roof while working and now we have a leak in our house. We have asked them to fix this and they have promised since December to fix this. They have excepted that the work is poor but they bever come to fix it. The new restored gutters do not work at all and our home is being ruined by rainwater pouring over the sides of the non-working gutters! My husband is 76 and i am 72, this is so awful.... please please let people know that this company is horrible.Initial Complaint

On thurs. Aug 18 Ryder Roofing assured me that they were going to replace rotted roof over hang supports and trim in a professional manor. The work to be done was on Sat Aug 20. I have a 3' roof overhang and ryder roofing showed up to cut the ends off the supports and simply try to piece it together without regard to structural integrity. The numerous times I mentioned issues with the job being done as it was happening it was continually blown off by the owner with comments like "If you knew how to do this job why didn't you do it" and "You'll never notice that unless you really look at it." Then when they left for the day there was no communication about further plan for the second support to be finished. I texted the owner to let him know the job done was of poor quality and that I had to clean paint off of the soffit and fascia. I also asked what the plan was and stated that it was supposed to start raining that night and continue for several days. He said he would be back in the morning and that it wasn"t going to rain all day (contradictory to the weather report) At this point he didn't respond for an hour and I decided i didn't want my attic open to the elements and to wildlife i decided to close the second one in. After not hearing from ryder roofing sunday, Monday I texted and asked if we were going to come to some resolution. He then insinuated that I owe him MORE money. I explained the poor craftsmanship of the job and asked that he take ownership of the job, to which he responded "please quit texting me". I haven't spoken to Jay the owner of Ryder roofing since, However on Aug 25/26 I bought material and removed the unprofessional job ryder roofing performed and did it correctly replacing the supports in their entirety (The job I gave Jay from Ryder roofing $1100 deposit to do.) Ryder roofing never even attempted to replace the overhang supports as they spelled out to my understanding in the contract and the job was sure not professional.
