I sent my truck to Ross Auto Repair in Charleroi, PA to have the [windshield, hood, grill, water-pump, alternator, serpentine belt replaced and state inspections done. Feb 9, 2022 I paid 300.00 upfront to have the following work done on my truck 1) Windshield Replaced 2) Hood Replaced 3) Grill Replaced 4) Water Pump replaced 5) Alternator Replaced (and serpentine belt) I supplied all parts as requested, A] 02/09/2022 I paid $300.00 Cash up front. B] About 2 weeks later, I went back to ask what progress had been made, and was told they had an alternator, but a week later I was told I needed to bring the alternator myself. I went to get the part and dropped it off, and was made to understand that the windshield would be in addition to the labor. C] About a month later I returned to the shop and paid and additional 500.00 to cover the windshield ($300.00) and 200.00 of the 400 I still owed for the labor. D] A day or two later I returned to pay the remaining $200.00 which would have paid the entire repair bill. E] Today, 3/30/2022, I had to get the proper Serpentine belt, which I did because the one the Dealership sold me was the incorrect item. Today I was also told that I still owe 300.00 for the windshield. That means that I have just been ripped off by the shop for $400.00.. since I already paid 1,000.00 300+500+200 Now I am afraid if I don't pay them for the windshield again they will keep my truck The last 2 receipts I got were not dated so I have no proof that I have been there more than twice. The Book-keeper swears up and down that I did not pay her $500.00, NOR the additional 200.00 BUT the second receipt shows $500 paid, and the final receipt shows I paid 700.00 for parts/labor. If receipt one shows 300.00. receipt 2 shows 500.00 and the final receipt shows paid in full, then logic dictates that I paid a total of $1000.00. I fear that if I do not pay them an additional 300.00 they may file a lien against my vehicle and claim title to it.
