    Fraudulent business practices, beware. We attempted to cancel two times in writing while my father dealt with terminal cancer. None of the written requests were accepted and we were billed $439 while he was in skilled nursing and not using the service. My father sadly passed away in January of 2023. I finally had a moment to make the call to their support and was told we would be charged a $350 equipment fee because my dad's condo was cleared out by the estate and the device was thrown away without the family's consent. The equipment was provided for free during a September 2021 promo and no mention of needing to return the equipment was mentioned. All our receipts say free equipment. $0.00 cost with no mention of a leased equipment structure. The support agent was unable to provide a contract where my father expressed consent to said fee, but told me it would be billed anyways. After an hour-long call, I was disconnected with no callback. We are grieving and paid many years of service because they would not allow a written cancellation, now they want another $350 fee after we paid thousands for the funeral.

    Do not use these people. We canceled, but they won’t stop billing until your elderly parent prints the email and mails it in. They is inconsiderate of the elderly and discriminatory. That request in impossible for an 80 year old dementia patient. They said sorry and we still owe $682 because they must have the form. They know they step can be missed and are banking on it. Stay away……. This is fraud and they know it.

    If I could give them 0 stars I would. I called after my father died to tell them to cancel. They said that they couldn’t that I needed to send them paperwork. With all of the things to do after a loved one has passed you would think that they would make it easy on you. Now a year after my dads death I get a bill. After many phone calls still they won’t cancel the bill. Preying on people that are in mourning. They should be ashamed of themselves. I’m

    I was very specific when talking to the salesman about what I needed from this product 1. Phone signal: my dad's house has very bad phone signal so I asked specifically if their product needed a phone signal to work. He said no. It ran off their own system and a phone signal was not necessary. LIE! It very much needs a phone signal. 2. I wanted the smart watch so he wouldn't have to remember to put on a necklace pendant every morning when he left the house. The salesman said the pendant wasn't necessary and that's what the watch is for. I didn't receive a smart watch, I received a wristband with a call button. I wanted to make sure he could communicate/talk with the operator through the watch if he had an emergency. The salesman assured me he could talk to the operator. Not true with what he ordered for me. It's just a call button to send a signal. From there, instead of calling the police/ambulance, they would call me. Why call me first? Get help for my dad on the way, then call me to let me know. What am I suppose to do when I'm at work, have no idea where he is or if he's hurt? That's just wasting time getting help to him. 3. As stated above, I wanted to make sure he didn't have to remember to wear the pendant. The salesman assured me that the watch was what he would need to wear. Another LIE. Even with the smartwatch/ wristband they sent me, he would still have to take the pendant with him when he left the house. What's the point in that? I am so frustrated with the lies they allow their salesman to tell!!

    Really bad customer experience. I tried to cancel service but they wouldn't unless I sign form and send back. The problem was that my dad moved back to Mexico so they put services on hold for 90 days, then after 90 days I called to just cancel because my dad lost the device and i didn't want service anyways because my dad was still in Mexico. Medical guardian sent me a form to sign and send back, I did and thought all was good. Fast forward 4 months later I'm looking through mail and find 4 monthly bills. I called again to complain and all they can do is attempt to cancel again but still charge me for many months of service that I didn't use. I'm outraged. If I ever need this type of services best believe I will not call Medical Guardian nor will I ever recommend them to anyone.

    The same just happened to me as what I read in other reviews. These people are scammers. I just received a letter that either I give them $550 or they will send me to collection. The service was never used as I went overseas and never connected the device for my mother. On July of 2022 I called to make sure it was canceled and I got a partial refund from them. I went a step further and I called my American express card to tell them no to authorize any future charges just in case. My Amex refund me and extra month. I never received a full refund from Medical Guardian even thought the sales person said that in order to start the service I had to call whenever I was ready. As per the certified mail I received today from them after 7 months of not hearing anything they want to to collect for another 6 months apparently they have not cancelled the account and continue to bill me monthly, accruing late fees, and threat's of collections. I want this resolved, con I don't owe them anything and they are threatening to send me to collection. Customer# 3859471

    After doing some research I found that Medial Guardian was one of the top companies. I was very disappointed! I purchased the device and paid on it for two years without having to use it. The one day my mother needed it, it didn't work! My mother had fallen and pushed her wrist pendant only to find it would not work. She could not get to the base, a phone or any other way to call for help. She laid there for over 20 hours before she realized she could try to contact someone through her Eco device. Who would have thought that a 15-dollar Alexa device would save her life? YES, THAT IS CORRECT, A $15.00 DEVICE! She was able to contact my brother and he called me; we both immediately went to her rescue after calling for an ambulance. she was laying on the floor, dehydrated, face completely black and blue and a giant knot on her hear. The medics were very concerned and rushed her to the hospital to be checked over. Luckily she is fine now, but this could have been very bad! My point is that I paid a lot of money for this service and IT FAILED!!! When I contacted MG they wanted to charge me for the defective "waterproof" watch and a restocking fee to the returned equipment, and then had the nerve to charge me for the following year! customer services terrible and they just didn't care about my situation. If I could, I would give this company 0 stars. If you are thinking about this service for a loved one, think again, IT MAY NOT WORK! IT IS NOT FAIL PROOF! save your money and find another way. I lost all trust for these companies and their equipment.

    Medical Guardian service is fine. Attentive customer service when I have called. The reason for the one star review is that I had to pay for shipping fees when returning the all in one device. The reason for the return was the passing of the person it was intended for. Medical Guardian did not charge for shipping when I exchanged one device for another so I was upset that there were no allowances made under these circumstances. Customer Service did not provide this information when the account was first established.

    They have charged me twice and I want the extra payment back. i called and talked awhile and the girl hung up on me. I cannot afford to pay them twice a month if they send a bill in the mail they charge extra for that. i am canceling this.
