  I am deeply disappointed in the customer service that I received after I contacted the company with a water in the basement problem. I had gotten the waterproofing done and paid the entire $8,724.00 bill off before I retired and the next year my basement was flooded. In good faith, I told the company to waterproof my basement. In good faith, I was told that if I got all the parts of my house done there would be no more water in the basement. The crack that is on the foundation was there at the onset of the survey and assessment of the job and price given. It had rained hard and the water has returned. The technician came out and then even from his visit more water has come. The company is advising me that a crack that was already there when I initially called would have to be repaired for an additional $3,000.00. My original agreement even states that service calls for seepage could be made for charge or no charge but this company does not take any responsibility for my situation or seem to care.

  As we explained to the customer, we performed our work as per the fully executed legal contract dated 3/4/21. On the contract the customer paid for an interior waterproofing system that carries a warranty for any further water penetration coming up through the floor where our system was installed along the perimeter where the wall meets the floor only. On 4/17/23 the customer contacted us, nearly 2 years later, and indicated that she was having an issue. We were responsive and came out to the customer’s home on 4/20/23 to observe our system further and conducted testing. The system that we installed was in full working order and we have photos to substantiate. We provided the customer with a full recap of our findings. We explained to the customer that our warranty does not cover any foundation walls and offered a solution to her to eliminate this foundation crack that was leaking. Once we advised the customer it was additional work, she was not happy with our response. The scope to repair a foundation crack is a structural repair and not related to the waterproofing system. Please also note that the foundation crack has nothing to do with the interior job that we completed and also is not written on our contract. There is no indication of a structural repair of a foundation crack on our legal contract. Unfortunately, as with any business, we do not come out and perform additional work at no additional charge. We offered her a solution to help assist her and she declined. The work that we performed was agreed upon and completed as per the fully executed contract. Prior to the start of job the customer was walked over the entire job scope and at the completion of the job was fully walked over and the job scope was signed off and approved by the customer. The customer still has a warranty for the work that was completed relating to the waterproofing system that was installed. However, as we explained to the customer, for any additional work for a structural foundation crack there is an additional charge.

  Worker cursed at me in front of my children. Left my house screaming. Office manager was rude and not helpful after this happened.

  I found Basements Love Us when looking for a company to demolish and replace my basement slab. Tom was my salesperson, and he was patient throughout the process as I gathered quotes from multiple companies. Once I compared all the companies, Basements Love Us was the only company that was entirely using their own workers and equipment (most others were subcontracting). The team was at my place on time every day of the job. Shaun was the team lead, and explained to me exactly how he would approach the job. They demolished and removed my existing slab, raked and leveled the area, and put down a stone bed in a single day. Over the next two days, they did the cement work. Once everything dried, I noticed an issue with a height variance between where two of the slabs meet. I reported this to Shannon at the office on a Sunday. She got back to me first thing Monday morning, and let me know that Shaun would be back on Tuesday. On Tuesday, to my surprise, Shaun returned with the entire team. He was sympathetic and gave me multiple options to fix the issue. Once I chose, he and the team got to work and had it fixed in less than two hours - no extra charge. I would recommend this company to anyone looking to get work done on their basement slab.
