    Highmark Health has received reports from individuals that are either receiving phone calls or being contacted via Google Hangout/Upwork.com.  regarding various jobs with Highmark.  Individuals claiming to be employees of Highmark are offering non-existent positions within the company.  While the email addresses look convincing and reference ‘highmark’ in the email address, they do not have a ‘highmark.com’ exchange and instead are using email addresses with an exchange of ‘gmail.com’.  The scam caller is asking individuals to purchase a gift card, share their completed W-4, driver’s license, birth certificate and credit card information.

    These contacts are NOT from Highmark!

    If you receive a suspicious phone call or email from someone claiming to be from Highmark offering you a position that you never applied for, please do not respond or provide any personal information to the caller. It is best to simply hang up immediately.

    If you have fallen victim to the scam and you have surrendered personal information that is otherwise considered confidential and sensitive (SSN, W-4, driver’s license, birth certificate, credit card information), we suggest that you do the following:

    *Contact your local law enforcement authorities

    *Contact the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) at www.ftc.gov  to report the scam

    *Sign up for credit monitoring services

      I had two separate insurance plans through Highmark BCBS in 2023 that are causing me so many headaches. I started seeing a provider in February of 2023. At the time I had the Keystone Blue plan with Highmark through my employer. I paid all required copays prior to each session. I am now being told that Highmark will not cover the claims. The provider’s billing department reached out to Highmark prior to my first session to confirm coverage. Highmark said that while out of network no authorization was required. Once the provider submitted the claims they were all denied stating authorized is needed. The provider then submitted the authorization and the claims were still denied. I’m beyond frustrated. I paid my part and I paid so much money for the insurance and Highmark refuses to cover their portion. The provider is still fighting them to this day for answers. I need this escalated to the highest level because these are expenses I cannot and should not be responsible for. What does insurance actually pay for? I feel like I’m being robbed. I need answers. NOW.

      Worst customer ********************** Ive ever dealt with. Ive had 3 separate member services supervisors completely lie to **** was randomly dropped even after paying all my premiums through auto pay. One supervisor told me I would be reinstated. Then two weeks later another told me I wouldnt be, but that I would get a refund and be able to join a new plan. Now today Ive been on hold with another bozo supervisor for over 2 hours, that claims I cant get a new plan and that I will only get half my refund. Im still waiting for this supervisor to simply get me his higher *** contact but he refuses to. Claims he speaks to the owner of Highmark itself. Someone needs to review these supervisors calls immediately.Stay far away from this circus.
