They have my reimbursement money from my therapy sessions and are refusing to pay me back or either make the manager of billing department call me to explain what is going on and when am I getting back my money. It's been frustrating because I have paid 2 months of out of pocket and now I don't have any more money to do my psychiatrist and psychologist treatment. After several calls I had to stop trying to reach someone that could help me out because their work negligence is making worse my mental crisis.

I am overall extremely dissatisfied with the service. The customer ********************** is difficult to reach at best and non-existent at the worst. I am aware of the prescriptions covered by my plan but one medication if generic is fully covered. Still, it is full price. This issue remains unresolved. Their website is not easy to navigate, and it seems deliberately designed in this manner. Now to make simple monthly payments you would think it would be easy. It is not. I am currently unable to put the monthly amount my premium is. The amount is doubled. I never did this. On top of it I received a notice acknowledging the actual premium amount due but states I am past due with the balance. I am not. I made my February 2025 payment, and it went through double the amount due. Which had me skip my March payment. I went to the website because of relocating to update my address. It cannot be done. I went to change my PC- I was unable to. I went to pay April's premium amount due, and it comes up double. I am able to correct it by putting in another amount. But this double amount is still an issue. I did not know that Highmark operated this way. I previously had Blue Cross Blue Shield in another state and was 98% happy with the service. I wrongly assumed it would be similar.

Do not get this insurance if you can avoid it, worst I have ever had. My wife's employer changed to this insurance for 2025 and I have had nothing but problems with them. Just last week I tried to fill a Rx that is now out (last fill was dec 24) that I have been taking for *************************************************************************************** order to cover it. That's not available any longer. My only recourse here is to stop taking the meds for a couple of months so current test results will show I need to take them. That's insane. And has to be illegal.

There was always a wait to talk to someone, so we finally decided to have them call us back. We were scheduled to hear back on a Thursday at 4:30pm, 4 days after we called & couldn't talk to a person. That's a long wait 4 days. Then they called at 4:50 & put my husband on hold for 49 minutes until finally he talked to someone. They did give us answers though. But when we were supposed to be called back we shouldn't have to wait. This means they need to hire more people to give attention that is needed. This was questions that cold affect my husband's health.

From a nonexistent customer ********************** line to constant denials and increases in cost with less coverage about says it all. If you call them you are subjected to a bot who can't hear numbers. doesn't allow you enough time to answer and than you are subjected to a lengthy non disclosure message which basically tells you if the agent says it is covered it may not be covered.

When you inevitably have issues with your serviceMay as well not call the phoneyoull suffer through their minutes-long automated waiver of every liability possible over the phone. Just for none of the options to be clear enough on where youre trying to get to. Just for the system to not pick up your verbal answers or ask for your member ID multiple times. If you answer other, theres a good chance theyll tell you to call back later when you have your information.Seems like a deliberate waste of my time for arduous complications.

This is the WORST INSURANCE COMPANY ON EARTH!!!Just for starters:There is no coordination of information among departments. They mailed out their 2025 insurance cards on January 3, 2025!!!!It will take 7-10 days to receive them!!!!They should have been completely delivered by January 1, 2025.This company is the most client-UNFRIENDLY company there is!!!

Highmark BCBS cancelled my coverage to what they claim as nonpayment for my premium. My payment schedule was set to autopay and they had been taking out payments until as recently as October. For whatever reason whether it be a glitch or something else they just stopped taking payments from my account. Funds were always available and I even offered to pay any overdue funds, but the appeal to reinstate was denied. I have recorded the phone call with their support representative after informing them that I would be recording the call and they have stated that they dont see any reason why the payment was not deducted such as a card being declined or anything else. They have a breakdown between their billing department and policy holding department. After speaking with two different representatives, each cannot see any reason why the payment was not taken out. The appeals have not worked and you have no opportunity to plead your case to whomever makes the reinstatement decision. Their excuse is that they do not have a number to that department. I received two letters from Highmark stating my coverage would be canceled on a date of two different months. I have done my do diligence to try and correct whatever payment issue might be on my end. Now Im a stuck without health coverage for another month due to the enrollment window and coverage start date of other plans. Again, I have recorded the the representative stating that it looks like it was a Highmark issue but when the appeal is submitted, it is denied. I do not recommend them based on my own experience and the others who have posted reviews in this forum.

EVERY year I have a physical Highmark denies payment for part of my lab work. I have to contact a patient advocate and jump through hoops to get them to pay. This year has been HORRIBLE. Every time I call a patient advocate the story changes: It was coded incorrectly, Medical history supporting it must be submitted, it requires a letter of Medical Necessity...My doctor's office has done everything they've asked of them at this point and still...denied. I dread my physical each year knowing I will have to deal with them. I've called for help 5 times now. I HATE dealing with this. Get your act together Highmark BCBS!

My employer is using Highmark as an insurance provider for medical insurance. the problem is Highmark keeps denying the claims. they say we don't have coverage. we call them they agree we do have coverage. they agree to reprocess the claims in 6 to 8 weeks. we wait the allotted time and call them back to find out nothing was done. Now we start over again. Evey single employee in my company has the same problem. We are paying for a service for which we get no service. they are stealing our money. Normally thieves get put in jail something should be done. But probably something will not get done because I am a little person with no power. Now the hospital is putting claims to collections because they want to be paid. Which I don't blame them. Highmark is going to keep getting away with this because they are not held accountable.
