I brought a 2013 tahoe($20,000) in 2/3/2022 I had to bring it back next day, check engine light. I did all my schedule maintenance.9/18/2022 check engine light came back on.went to the dealer(Ron) he told me call my warranty in and I would only have to pay $100 deductible. Call warranty (NVP WARRANTY) they told me to take it to the shop and find out what wrong. I did that paid out of pocket. Shop said it needs a new engine.NVP SAID To have shop break engine down 9hr job that they only going to pay for 30 minutes of labor which leaves a remaining balance of 8 1/2 hr ($1,300.00. I explain that I didn’t have the money and what is the warranty for. The engine is covered in my warrantyBusiness response

I am responding to complaint ID#********, filed by ***** *****.
Firstly, we were very cooperative with ***** after his purchase. He had a couple of minor issues which we addressed immediately. Apparently, 7 months later a check engine light came on and someone told him he needed a new motor. This is the first we are hearing about this. Incidentally' a check engine light seldom means you need a whole new motor. Nevertheless, all warranty companies require a 'tear down' to confirm that there is an internal problem with the motor and that the mechanic or customer are not just fabricating a problem to receive a brand-new motor. The price he was quoted is ridiculously high to do a tear down and that is where *****s main gripe lies. I'm sorry ***** is experiencing this unfortunate mechanical failure. Chevy Tahoes usually don't have this particular problem, but the warranty company we use should certainly be able to step in and rectify things. I'd be happy to contact my representative for NVP warranty to see if I can save him some money. Other than that, I certainly can't refund his money a year after the vehicle was purchased. Perhaps we could have avoided all of this if ***** would have contacted us when he first discovered the problem. We could have easily directed him to the best location to get the problem solved at a minimum of expense.
