This company claimed I signed up for a resume and then a subscription service. This is false. Fraud has been commented. They have been charging my bank account/debit card since August of 2023. I have been charged $166.95 in total. $23.85 starting August of 2023, and every month after. The company refuses to refund my money. Thank you for the opportunity to resolve this complaint from ****** ******.
We have reviewed our files and our records show that ****** ****** signed up for our Resume ******* services on August 22, 2023. The copy online provided ****** ****** with a choice of 14-Day Full Access at a discounted rate, which automatically renews to monthly access for a monthly fee, or an annual subscription that is pro-rated at a lower rate per month but which is paid upfront for access to the services all year long. ****** ****** chose to accept our offer for 14-Day Full Access, which automatically renews monthly. On the page where ****** ****** made that selection, immediately below the choice of subscriptions, the offer clearly states the subscription After 14 days, auto-renews at USD ***** billed every 4 weeks''. We also state that the subscription can be canceled at any time on the offer page. Once the subscription was selected and ****** ****** clicked on Continue, she arrived at the payment page. Immediately in between where ****** ****** entered her credit card information and the Get your Resume option, we state that:
By clicking "Get Your Resume" below you agree to be charged USD 2.45 now and accept our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. You will be billed USD ***** after 14 days, and every 4 weeks after that until your subscription ends which you can cancel at any time. The purchase confirmation page also clearly disclosed that this subscription will ''begin immediately and renew on September 6, 2023 to our monthly service at USD ***** per month.'' This page also provides information on how ****** ****** could cancel before this monthly charge. Finally, ****** ****** was also sent an email to the email address provided to us on the same day confirming ****** ****** access to our services and reiterating one more time that Your subscription begins immediately and renews on September 6, 2023 to our service at USD ***** billed every 4 weeks.'' Accordingly, ****** ******* card was charged USD ***** for the applicable month of service on September 6, 2023. Our records do not show any cancellation attempts nor cancellation requests by ****** ****** previous to the date of the charges.
Although our charges are not refundable as stated in our Terms and Conditions, we previously decided to make an exception for ****** ****** and refunded her six charges in the amounts of USD ***** each on February 21, 2024 and October 10, 2024. ****** ****** has been refunded a total amount of USD ****** as of October 10, 2024.
Please advise ****** ****** to allow from seven to ten business days from the processing date for the funds to be credited to her bank account. We trust this addresses any concerns you may have.

I am writing to express my deep concern and frustration regarding unauthorized charges on my credit card ending in ****, which were made by Resume-Now. I have been in contact with your customer support team, but my issue remains unresolved. I want to clarify that I am not a customer of **********************-**********************, and I have never signed up for any subscription or service with your company. On 2023 **** I noticed an unexpected charge of *****on my credit card statement, followed by subsequent charges for 36 months since 2021. These transactions have left me both bewildered and distressed, as I have no affiliation with Resume-Now nor have I initiated any subscription with their service.I have reached out to Resume-Now's customer support multiple times, providing all relevant details and requesting a refund for these unauthorized charges. However, I have received responses indicating that I allegedly have a subscription, which is simply not the case. I have not knowingly or willingly entered into any agreement with Resume-Now or authorized these transactions.I kindly request an immediate and thorough investigation into this matter. I expect that you will promptly refund the total amount of ****** to my credit card ending in **** and cease any further attempts to charge my account. Additionally, I request written confirmation that my personal and financial information has been removed from your systems, ensuring that no further unauthorized charges will occur.Customer Answer

This business is a scam. I did a trial and the service was so bad, I didn't even download anything and just canceled online. Fast forward 5 months and I saw a charge for $24 and called them to find out why. They said I didn't cancel even though I did online. I searched my emails and I only have 1 email which says they charged me $2.45. When I called every time I said something they didn't like the phone conveniently cut out. It took me 45 minutes and 6 calls to get the membership canceled. I never received an email saying the membership is canceled so they will probably try to charge me again next month...Stay away this website is a scam!Business Response

I signed up for a free trial back in March. Come to find out, they billed me every month for 8 months ($200). I went ahead and canceled this service online in early Oct and they charged me $25 on Oct 31st. It was only actually canceled after I chatted in with the representative who was unable to refund me the full amount of $25. I wasn't even asking for a full refund of the $200 they took after their "free" trial. They are supposed to make it clear to consumers about revolving charges, which they don't do. And you can't cancel this online, although their website states that. Deceptive business practices.Business Response

I signed up for a free trial with Resume Now in late January 2023. On February 6, 2023, my account was charged $23.85. I cancelled the free trial hoping that things would resolve by the following month. It did not resolve so I contacted customer service to let them *********************** they had charged me twice for a subscription that I cancelled online. They said they didn't have a paid account tied to my email address. If they don't show a paid account, then why are they charging $23.85 me every month? How did they retain the rest of my info but magically can't find my email address? I have tried numerous times to get this fixed. I've tried calling, the online chat and email. Nothing has worked. Since February, they have continued to charge my account every month. As of today, they have stolen $166.95 from me. I made one resume during the "free trial period". It amazes me that this company is still in business with all of these complaints. They should be charged with fraud and shut down.Initial Complaint

I had looked at this company to potentially write a resume off of. I had not signed up for any free trials or any subscription services. All I did was give them my name and my email address. Somehow they got my bank account information and my card information and decided that they wanted to charge me a one-time fee of **** and then a reoccurring subscription charge for over 20 something dollars. I had called to complain about this and they said that I needed to dispute it with my bank as they see on their side that I was only charged for one time of everything. I asked ******* how they could possibly have my bank account information since I never gave them any of this and they could not answer that. I am not happy with this as I was only looking for the service but I did not ever provide any details or any payment methods to continue to have utilized the service.
