I have a new employer, CVS Caremark is my new pharmacy insurer I got coverage starting Feb 23. My son needs an urgent antibiotic today (Feb 26) but I still have not received my cards in the mail to know my ** number for coverage. They refuse to give me my ** number over the phone even after I verified all my info. I do not have days to wait for a card to come in the mail. Im at *** right now and need the ** number TODAY in order to get this medication. They are withholding this info from me and wanting me to wait for the card in the mail. If something happens to my son for not receiving this antibiotic, THEY ARE LIABLE!!!

On Feb. 16, 2025, a pharmacist refused to fill prescriptions for me at store #****, and lied stating that no CVS could fill those prescriptions before walking away and refusing to assist me. I contacted *** corporate via website and requested to be contacted, *** never did. I then contacted *** via their social media, requesting to be contacted. *** never did.I have a filed a formal complaint with the ***************************** about this violation of ethics. I will attach a description of the actual incident, which CVS will not attempt to discuss with ***** husband was being discharged from the *************** following a complex surgery and I came here to fill his discharge prescriptions. They were official and on official hospital letterhead with patient PII computer labels affixed. Doctor and hospital contact information was supplied on all prescriptions. I approached the counter and asked the pharmacist if I could fill these prescriptions. He glanced at them and realized some of them were for pain medication (*********, *********) and then immediately threw them back across the counter at me stating "We don't fill that sort of medication here." I then asked him, "Ok, so do you know which CVS does fill these?" and he cut me off and replied that no CVS fills those prescriptions and when I asked him if he might know of any other pharmacy where I could fill them he said no, to maybe try a grocery store, and then walked away. He refused to fill these legal, legit prescriptions without providing me any reason. He refused to contact the doctor or hospital on the prescriptions. He refused to look at my ID or verify that I am not on any pharmacy shopper lists. If he is refusing to fill these valid prescriptions based on his personal beliefs, what other medications is he also refusing to fill for others? For the record, our doctor called a different CVS and that pharmacist filled the prescriptions for us, so CVS does indeed fill them.

They need to be shut down, such a scam and monopoly. You pay for insurance thru your employer (alot of money too) in order to go pick your medications to be told one is not covered anymore even though it medically necessary for me to be on brand, and just the one medication alone is 360 is what they were charging me, when the last 2 years I have been on same medication BRAND only and my copay was 40. Who in their right mind can afford $800 a month for insurance for there family to turn around and have ONE medication be 360 and not to mention we been stuck with this insurance for past 20 yrs and we decided in November we were gonna opt in for the BETTER plan most expensive to turn around and it be a straight nightmare. They have had my immunogist fax like 6 PA and they would call and say I wasn't located in there system they would tell me the same, and they are very incompetent, even supervisors, or lazy, for me to figure out they were putting everything under my DEACTIVATED account and not under the new policy. So the brains behind these obviously were very lazy and not looking at what they were doing, and they had me 2 weeks late on immunology shot without my other medication for a few weeks and I am still fighting for this one. It is utterly insane, and they need to shut down, it a big scam/monopoly and it is not ok. I cannot get anywhere with them even after the 80 calls and hours wasted on the line, so I had to write the state **** regarding this whole situation. I asked them how to appeal and get this drug back on my formulary and they dont give me a answer they tell me oh its covered and its just 360, like absolutely not, but the generic covered, because it makes you sicker. Doesn't make any sense at all, next when i have a seizure because they cant do anything correct I will then be filing a lawsuit.

They cancelled my prescription 3 times because I couldn't get back to them fast enough to answer their question. On my account page different excuses as to why it was cancelled were given. It was expensive and they had to double check with me to fill it. So why not a button allowing me to ok it online? The lovely people answering their service line have very heavy accents. One I had to hang up on because I couldn't understand a word she ******* get resolution I had to ask for a supervisor. Overall, that call took about 40 minutes. It's been a month since the prescription was originally ordered.Welcome to CVS Caremark!

Disgusting. Will not accept calls from my doctors office. When I finally got ahold of someone and forcefully asked them to call my doctor, they left a voicemail and then hung up on me. This company should be investigated, this is completely unacceptable.

Handles business in poor manner! Price for a bottle of shampoo online is $8.99 and in-store charges me $10.99. I asked for price matching. The cashier asked me to wait for the store manager. I waited for 25 minutes. He could not give me price matched. It seemed *** tries to scam the customers with different prices on their products!

CVS Caremark frequently delays or cancel my orders and fail to resolve prescription issues manner. Their customer ******************** is sub-par. Having a maintenance prescription that is expensive, CVS Caremark is supposed to provide a cheaper option with a 90-day supply. However, they can never seem to process the order, even though it is the same drug by the same doctor every time. I now have to use the more costly option of going to a local pharmacist.
