  On October 25,2023, I met with Ms. Shalonda Wilburn to discuss my legal concerns. She reviewed my complaint. We discussed her fees. The fees were 2 different charges on my credit card. They were $150 for office visit and $500 for 2 hours of legal services. I was lead to believe I would hear back from her in no later than 6 weeks. As you can tell it’s been almost a year. Her office hasn’t contacted me at all. I send several emails asking for an update but no answer. I called once and was told by the secretary that Ms. Wilburn would be in touch. Again no response . I feel this behavior is a scam. My money was taken and I never heard back from her.

  I believe this matter has already been settled and closed with the South Carolina Bar and any concerns regarding legal services with an attorney is governed under the South Carolina Supreme Court. All services rendered to this client was under a limited scope representation meaning I was not hired as Mr. *******'s attorney, only to perform a single service. Mr. ******* paid me $150 for a consultation that was performed and rendered; therefore, he will not be receiving a refund from me for the consultation fee. Further, he paid me $500 for 2 hours of service to investigate a legal issue. Those funds were exhausted when I hired an investigator to look into the matter at $30hr for 3hrs and I conducted 2 hours of research and investigation myself. I have a drafted a well detailed response with the SC Supreme Court. I believe Mr. ******* is in receipt of that response. Mr. ******* is entitled to a copy of his file. It is available upon request.

  I am rejecting this response because: There has been no response. This Aiken County, SC Law Firm; and their employees; ABSOLUTELY KNOW that they are derelict in their duties; especially as officers of the court. This way of conducting business; by an attorney; should be viewed by The State of S.C.; and all groups that advocate for clients of attorneys; AS A GROSS MISSCARRAGE OF JUSTICE and a most illegal practice by a licensed attorney.

   

  We still view; as a minimum settlement; our money of $650.00.
