My inspector never asked to remove the roof! You guys completely ignored my pre dry wall inspection about the roof. I can provide several pictures of everything that I mentioned. We switched from your preferred lender because he wouldn't lock in our rate and told me he would send over documents in 2 days. After waiting 16 days I knew I needed to lock in my rate. Never asked for any documents from me and I knew it was getting closer to closing. He was like Crescent homes no communication and not very nice. I guess you guys think it's ok to have a portable potty and dumpsters on a driveway and a filthy house. Why didn't you offer me an incentive for the place where I work. Calling an inspector and belittling him is terrible business practices. You can write all the excuses you want, but I know how I was treated any homeowner would be upset to see all the filth and disrespect for a new home. Like I said you are getting sued and a roof issue is on the list. Please people stay away from Crescent homes. They don't care about customers. They will lie about incentives and will only give you one if you smile and never complain. I'm so happy I walked away. Enjoy my 10k!

Crescent homes has no integrity and wanted me to accept the house with a roof issue. I had a pre dry wall inspection on September 2023 and they ignored the roof issue. They wanted me to close in December 2023 and claimed the roof was fine. They didn't give me an option to hire a structural engineer or an independent roof inspector. The VP of construction called my home inspector and belittled him for finding something wrong with the roof. The VP told him he wasn't an engineer, but funny thing is I am. I'm not a structural engineer, but I guarantee the VP is not an engineer. I stopped by the house one day and there was 2 dumpsters and a portable potty on the driveway. The floors, cabinets, and carpet, were not protected with anything and the house was filthy and debris all over the house. They didn't care and the sales reps treated me like I was a piece of trash for being upset that nothing was protected. The lender scheduled the appraisal and it under appraised because the house had no water, and was only 80 percent finished. However, I was suppose to close in 2 weeks. I would have to pay for the appraisal to come back to the house. Plus, they wanted me to schedule the final inspection with no water and the house being so filthy and unfinished. I can't imagine cleaning a filthy house with no water. They claimed it looked beautiful and it was ready for closing. They were waiting on the water and claimed they were at the mercy of the city. PLEASE avoid buying from Crescent homes. If the sales staff like you then you will receive a big incentive. If not, you will get nothing. On Zillow it shows they have an incentive for the company I am employed by. They gave me no incentives. I saw in Charleston SC where I am buying the house that Crescent homes in being sued and the roof is on the list. I walked away from the house and I know it will save me thousands of dollars in repairs and lots of heartache. They kept my 10k earnest money.

Crescent Homes did not attempt to make *** ****** close on a home with a roof issue. The purchaser had a home inspection prior to closing as is allowed by our contract. The inspector added a comment in his report that stated that it was his opinion that the dormer on the roof was a bad design as it would push more water toward either side of the dormer causing the shingles to wear unevenly. *** ****** took this to mean it is defective and needed to be removed. This roof design and dormer is certified by a structural engineer as stamped on the blueprints. We have built hundreds of homes with this very same design and have experienced no issues. Per the contract *** ****** is perfectly with in her rights to have the home inspected and we did not deny her a chance to have it inspected by other parties. We stand by our product. *** ****** was not belittled by any member of Crescent Homes. She came to her home with her mother on a weekend and her mother completely blew up at the sales team yelling about how dirty and unclean the home was. The sales team assured her that building can be messy at times but that we would make sure it was cleaned up and looking great 1st thing Monday but she could not be consoled. We took pictures of the home before and after cleaning. Even in the before pictures you can see the floor and counter tops have protection on them. As for the home not appraising, this was not due to the home being unfinished and dirty. It was because *** ****** was using an outside lender who did not give the inspector all of the change orders that show the final price. Had the lender done so, the home would have appraised. We pointed out the error to them so they could correct but by then I believe *** ****** had made the decision to walk away from the home. We tried our very best to rectify the situation, but she did not show up to her new home orientation meeting and on closing day she did not show up. We built a $350,000 home for her, she walked away and all we have is her initial deposit.

Buying a home built by Crescent Homes in The Settlement has been a horrible experience. The word integrity does not exist in their vocabulary. Backyards flooding due to no silt fences in storm drains which also flooded people’s garages, sewers backing up, curbs and gutters not engineered properly, some houses already experiencing cracked foundations in garages, sidewalks not to code, promises of a pool to be ready now and we’ll be lucky to have it by next spring, The Settlement property has 2 ponds. Dams were to be replaced before subdivision was started. They are draining them now and leaving the wildlife to die and rot. To my knowledge they have no intention of removing any of the fish or other species in the pond. Common areas look like crap/weeds everywhere. I’m curious where all of our HOA money is going. One resident did not have a moisture barrier in his shower. It was discovered because shower tiles were cracking. Found the mold. Had to be redone 3 times. Shoddy workmanship.

Like the rest of these horrible reviews, DO NOT BUY FROM CRESCENT. By the numerous nightmares we’ve heard from neighbors, countless number of bad reviews all over the web, and absolutely worst personal experience with this company, they should not even be in business anymore. Crescent is the most dishonest, irresponsible, lazy, and horrible company we’ve ever dealt with. They do not care about you and how much money you’re spending on a home from them. Once you put that deposit down, they are done with you. Morals are a joke to them. They lie, cover up wrong doings, slap houses together without proper inspection of anything, and go about their way without a care in the world. I won’t even cover all the problems we had from the start of buying our home because it alone is another review, but we’ve been in for 3 weeks and have already had a crack in our wood step, our stove hood broken, and MOLD! We had heard horror stories of others finding mold, some even black mold, in their homes, and not it unfortunately has happened to us. This company is TRASH. All we’ve heard (or read) is that this company is slow to respond to home issues…and that’s if you get a response. We will be fighting to get them to make our house issues right. It’s been a nightmare that honestly just keeps getting worse. Save yourself from the massive headache and go with the million other builders who care and know what they are doing. This company is not it and needs to be shut down.

All work in this home has been scheduled and estimated completion date of Friday 7/21 for the last finishing touches of drywall and paint. Homeowner has been notified of all repairs and will be communicated with accordingly until completion of the work.

Please do not buy a home with Cresent Homes. During the building process, we were told to stay off of the property, so we put our trust in their builders. We attended every meeting and occasionally came during the build to check on the progress. Before we signed the contract, we even had a private home inspector come and check out the house, and he found big and small problems. Cresent Homes fixed the big problems and mostly ignored the small problems. After we moved in, I smelled a moldy, musty smell. It took MONTHS with lack of communication and involvement to have ANYONE come and do anything about it. When they finally removed our kitchen cabinets, exposing so much MOLD, we learned that they had pierced the HVAC line with a nail and water had been dripping in our walls for months. That was just the first problem. It also took them OVER A YEAR to finish the problems we found at the walk through we did before we purchased our home. Last week, we found out they NEVER INSTALLED the vent above our stove, leading to more moisture and mold in our walls and NEVER put insulation above our primary bedroom. We still are waiting and expect to keep waiting for communication about that to be fixed. Cresent Homes has POOR COMMUNICATION, MESSES UP THEIR BUILDS, and doesn't seem to CARE about the customers purchasing a home from them. Please choose another builder.

The biggest issue was that the HVAC condensate line was hit by siding nails which caused a leak in the kitchen. This has been taken care of and everything has been reinstalled. Our warranty team reached out to ensure there was nothing else left that was not submitted to our 2-10 Warranty program.

My experience with Crescent homes have been by far the worse experience I’ve ever had with a builder! I purchased a new build home and closed 10/27/21. Once we closed there were items that were agreed to be fixed prior to closing and within 30 days of closing. However, those items got pushed again to the 11th month warranty after the builder quit and a new builder was assigned. Our ceilings look horrible and they are very wavy in the main living area and also in the loft area. Crescent has sent Cohen (Mud Company) to fix repairs which included patch work and the ceilings are not fixed correctly. After going back and forth with them for months on fixing the ceilings they stated Cohen agreed to fix them. Once the contractor arrived they stated their boss told them they were not doing the entire ceiling and they are going to patch up a few areas. Which is what I was complaining about in the first place. If the ceilings were done correctly when the house was build we wouldn’t have to ask for them be fixed. They rushed and build my home and many homes in Cane Bay Area and now not waiting for fix then. I have requested to speak to the warranty manager’s boss and I’ve never heard anything from him. If I’m paying over $500k for a home I expect everything to be fixed! I will never purchase another home with Crescent! Please do not close on your home until everything is fixed because they will not fix your home.

My experience with a new build in Franklin TN: Did not start build until 5 months after signing contract, with little to no communication as to when project would start, even with local permits completed. Not fun way to start. Did pre construction meeting, got excited, and soon after received change order for increase in prices outside homeowner control. Build started, progress happened in spurts, often going weeks without much being accomplished, and then a flurry of activity. Went through several project managers, all of which were fired/quite/disappeared/etc. Did not appear to be a quality control program in place to catch mistakes. Build was completed 6 months after estimated completion date. Final completion still lacked several major house components. Still dealing with punch list items from pre closing meeting almost a year later. Warranty program has set list of standards that, if the issue doesn't fit into their perfect box of a performance guideline, your request will be denied and will have no recourse. Would recommend to not sign any closing paperwork or taking ownership of the house without getting punch list items completed or at least to a satisfactory level. There is no paper trail after you move in of deficient items. Make sure to save additional money to have people come in after the fact and do it right.

Poor run and managed Home Builder/Developer. Mismanaged funds for HOA and never turned over the HOA property. Bradman Investors LLC is disbanding and wants to end being a declarant for the Terrabrook HOA. After 10 years of fighting with them to receive property receipts/paperwork they want to wash their hands of the neighborhood without property documenting things and funds from before 2011. We have no proof they have paid property taxes and paid vendors. Apparently they retained counsel in 2016 but just now in 2023 are reaching out to the homeowners. This should have be done legally and properly well before 2016.

This neighborhood was built by Brentwood Homes. Crescent Homes bought a few lots from them and built them out, however, Crescent never had anything to do with the HOA. This needs to go against Brentwood Homes.

We just built our second Crescent Home and we are over the moon with how wonderful everything turned out! Our experience was superb and we are now living in our dream home! We’ve built with other builders in the past and I will say we did not feel the same way about our other builders. Crescent Home standards are far above the expectation. We loved how we felt valued and heard as a customer which makes all the difference. I highly recommend a Crescent Home!

I purchased a Crescent home in 2018 in White Gables and the service and quality were the driving factors on why my experience was so positive. The onsite agent and builder guided me through the entire building process and through my warranty period and when there were small hiccups they were resolved quickly. It was clear from the beginning of the process I was valued as a customer and never felt like a number, which was why I ultimately chose a to build with a private builder. . I would absolutely purchase with Crescent Homes again.
