      Had an appointment set at 12 by the tire manager. Arrived 15 minutes early and after an hour I walk outside to see my truck still setting in the parking lot. I asked what was going on and was told they were waiting on the arrival of the tires. I asked to speak to the manager (which was a mistake) this genius tried to lie and tell me he had told me it would be around 1 for my tires. 2 major issues with the managers position. 1- he personally set the appointment for 12 2- he didn't speak to me, it was all through email so i have documentation that he didn't say 1 o'clock. They never once offered an apology, instead took issue that it upset me that this was piss poor service! You have been warned! go elsewhere for good service!!!

      I truely don't want to give Gerald's tire a low review, but there is no way online to contact the main office about my complaint. August 2020, I bought 2 tires from Gerald's which was supposed to be placed on the front and rotate the front to the back. the tires were 22s 6018 milestar. total cost $250.00. Fast forward to March 2022, I had to purchase 2 more new tires 22s 6018 fortune, and asked that they rotate the front tires to the back. What was upsetting was that the service guy told me that the tires on my car was different sizes. I said that I bought the tires from Gerald, that's why I came back, so my tires could all be the same. The total cost of the tires were $322.79, $72 more than i paid in 2020. I know all about inflation, although I still thought that was a little pricey, considering, I could get them cheaper from Walmart, but I always swear by Gerald's and love their service, but was truly disappointed when I was told that tires I bought from them in 2020 were not the same. I tell everybody I know to go to Gerald's first for anything brakes, tires, alignment and this just was not what I would expect from them. When I told the guy I bought all my tires from Gerald's, he just shucked it off and said they would fix it. They fixed it by placing the two new tire in the front and told me, it would be fine, I wouldn't feel anymore pulling, which I did thought I felt my car pulling sometimes, but it was not enough to get it checked. So disappointed, so for this, I have to give them a 1 star rating today.

      I brought my Toyota Highlander to Gerald's Tires in Mount Pleasant SC this morning and explained that I've been losing air in a tire for a long time and haven't seen an obvious cause (nail, etc). I've been adding air every few weeks for a long time but it seems to be losing air more quickly now. Long story short...they brought the vehicle in and put it on a lift...removed the wheel and found a very small nail...removed the tire off the wheel and plugged the hole...remounted and spun balanced the tire. The young man told me I'd be "good to go". When I went back into the office to pay the bill, the gentleman handed me the keys and told me to have a nice day. I asked about the charge and he said "there's no charge". Their slogan is "it's a great day at Gerald's". My experience was definitely great. Many thanks.

      My car broke down on a recent trip from DC to Florida and ****** *** towed me to Gerald's. They were amazing!!! It was a really scary experience breaking down on the hwy as it was getting dark in an unfamiliar area, just me and my dog, and they were able to fit me in before they closed so I didn't have to get a hotel there for the night, gave me an exact quote (with different options) beforehand and everyone was just so sweet to both me and my dog who was very nervous after the whole ordeal. Then, after they quickly fixed my car, I found a rose in the car wishing me a good evening I actually almost cried because it was such a beautiful gesture. They completely turned my evening around. I wish they had a location in DC they would have me as a customer for life! I highly encourage people to go there.

      I have to give one star for this review but I'd rather give none. It is not a good day at Geralds Tires West Ashley. I have been a loyal customer for many years. Recently, I had a nail in my tire and was losing air. I filled it enough to drive there but as I passed in the am, I could see they were incredibly busy. So I left my office in downtown Charleston with the hope of dropping it early and maybe having it looked at. When I arrived at 4:10, Rich at the counter promptly told me they were not putting cars on the lift and it could be left overnight for first thing. I agreed- but was slightly nervous as he seemed to have his mind on 50 things. I told him which tire and repeated. I also told him I was nervous where I parked and he assured me it would be fine. The next morning I called Geralds since they had not called me and the front sounded a little discombobulated but I could either wait on the phone or he would have someone call me. I agreed to the latter. Finally 30 minutes later Kyle called and said he would have to replace the tire because of a slice on the wall that could not be fixed. I said, "did you find the nail" to which he said, "no I never saw a a nail" as an aside I have a photo on my phone of the nail in tire. He just kept saying that the tire needed to be replaced. I asked again if he was sure it was the driver rear tire to which he said yes. So I agreed to a new tire that they would order that day from Columbia and put on. When I arrived at geralds at 5:15 with my husband, he was shocked to see my car sitting with the original tire flat. They had changed the wrong tire! And they had already sent it to the tire graveyard. The long and the short ( and a massive shouting match) was that they were going to win the fight. So customer service is not their mantra anymore. They wanted us to pay even though we wanted our original tire back (to even see if anything was wrong) and I still had a flat tire! They did look at it and yes, all it needed was a patch. I tried to speak to Rich to express my concern about him seeming frazzled the day before and he would have none of it. He challenged me and said that he had asked me twice of the location. I guess it is not their policy to check all tires and when you give a car back that clearly has a flat tire, well!!?? And Kyle the tech was worse. He threw me under the bus and said I had agreed over the phone to the new tire. Yet in my defense, I thought it was the correct tire. I had even asked him that question. He said he would get the old tire back but would not put it on the car. He admitted to making a mistake but he said he was doing the right thing. Whatever! I have never had an experience like this. We were planning to leave my daughters car the same day for 4 new tires but we decided no- not after this experience. And I will never step foot there again even if that was the last place to get tires. The two men were condescending to me as a woman and rude to my husband. As I said, not a good day at Geralds!
