I had a problem in the Ridgeland office with getting my address changed. They wanted a change of address form from the post office, but that was a problem as I would not have that until after I had moved, but I still needed to get my mail at my current address in the meantime. I asked if I could get an email sent from my really estate agent confirming my new address. I was told that would work, and I did that, but the account address was not changed. I contacted the bank, and it was changed. I had another problem when I lived in Charleston with a check order that I placed with the call center in Orangeburg. I Placed it but never received the checks. I finally got that straightened out. My last problem is with atm charges. When I opened my first account, there was no charge for using any atm, but that did not last, and they began charging $3:for a foreign atm fee. I knew they got charged so that was fair. My last atm withdrawal had the foreign atm plus another $3:atm fee by SOUTH STATE. I emailed Anthony Galletta of the South Aiken branch who insisted that this had always been the practice. It had not, and $6 everytime one needs cash is excessive. This bank rips off its customers and should be avoided.
