This company, through telemarketing, gained approval from an elderly gentleman with dementia for their service. Within 15 seconds of talking to this gentleman on the phone, there is no doubt anyone could tell that he was not of right mind to be able to make any business decisions. I am filing this complaint on his behalf. I am his Power of attorney and personal representative. After calling them to complain about what they had done and tell them I wanted the contract canceled. They would not cancel it and made us wait for two years to stop the service which by the way is the worst service I have ever received , they never took care of any of the pest in the House. The problem is worse now than it was when they started and all they wanted to do was put out sticky traps to catch things instead of something that would keep them from getting in the house in the first place. Again, we have a problem now than we did two years ago, and this was with constantly being on the phone with them asking them for additional services to try to fix the problem. It’s just a bad company and now they are continuing to charge even after the two years and the contract should be up. I’m having to fight with them to get them to stop charging which has not happened yet. At this point, I am either going to have to take them to court or just accept the loss.Initial Complaint

Michael D**** from Evergreen ***** ******** solicited door to door the wk of 9/4/23. I stated my problem with spiders and webs. Michael stated that spiders would be treated and all existing webs removed. I signed a contract and provided my bank account information per Michael’s request for automatic billing of $150. Michael stated credit cards weren't accepted. The first treatment was performed 9/8/23. The technician did spread chemicals but did not remove spider webs. I reviewed his work with him before he left, showed him the remaining webs. The technician stated he would not perform the service. I saw Michael on 9/9/23 in my neighborhood and told him the work had not been performed. Michael stated he would send a new tech 9/11/23 but no person arrived. I called Michael on 9/12/23 and asked to cancel the service and refund a portion of the $150 charge. Michael refused any refund and stated he would send Lincoln on 9/15/23, stating the initial tech was no longer with Evergreen due to unsatisfactory work. Lincoln never showed up. I asked Michael to elevate our discussion to his manager. I documented the innumerable spider webs in photographs--see pics--and then removed them myself. On 9/25/23 I received a call from an office manager from ***** ******** who stated I was trying to get work done for free, although this was not my goal. He refused partial payment though I made it clear that the work was not performed. I decided Evergreen was a fraudulent enterprise, called my **** bank, and disputed the $150 charge from 9/13/23. **** investigated, reversed the charge and blocked Evergreen from accessing my account in the future. I heard no more about this issue from Evergreen until I received a letter from TSI debt collectors dated 2/12/24. I dispute that I owe Evergreen anything for work not performed and would like my credit report amended. I have provided this information to TSI. Used Evergreen Pest. They did not do a good job. I cancelled. They sent me a bill for $300. I never signed a contract. I was told there wasn’t one along with several dozen other customers!!! Now they sent me to collections like a year later!!!! I have paid for all services rendered! They are doing this to many customers trying to collect money when services are not rendered and contracts faked!! Not signed.Initial Complaint

On Friday August 11,2023 Tommy G***** a door to door salesman for Evergreen Pest Control came to our home soliciting services. I told him I already had a company. He began to explain that others in the subdivision had services with the same company had been lied to by this other company. He even showed pictures on his phone. He explained his services and that he would be upfront with us and never lie to us about the services. He even offered to pay the cancellation fee for the other company if I would give his company a try. I asked my husband what did he think and he said it sounds good I guess we can give them a try because they are offering more pest services and Tommy seems honest. He scheduled the tech to come out the next day Sat 9am. The technician, Jared came within the allotted timeframe and performed the services as discussed but I'm not sure if it was him or the products he was using that created such a mess. The spray was dripping all over my hardwood floors and the spray he used under the cabinets left a white residue. Jared did apologize for the mess but this is definitely not a good first impression of how I want to receive services. My grandson was there walking around barefooted so I had him put on shoes because I don't want him stepping into chemicals! I checked the website to see if they were open on Sat so I could call about this service but they were closed until Mon morning. When I called 8/16/23 to cancel the services, Cat asked why, I explained and she said that my 3 days was over. They count Sat as a business day but their website shows they are closed Sat and Sun. I asked for a manager to help me. Tyler the manager called 8/17/23 he still claims Sat is a business day and if I cancel will be charged $201.00. Now why would I want to do business with a company that does not put my family's safety first and wants to charge me when I shouldn't be charged. I have 3 business days after the date of sale to cancel!Customer Answer

May 2022 I am very dis-satisfied with my service from Evergreen. I first felt very pushed by the salesmen that came to my neighborhood as I told him I wanted to think about the service and then it was scheduled anyways. I had to be contacted to receive payment which I did pay because I’m an honest person. I have more spiders than and bugs that I had before my service and never saw any dead bugs anywhere. I was also asked by the technician to give a google review while he was in my home. He asked to go to the website on my phone which I found strange. But being a single mom and having someone in my home I let him try to show me. He was unable to pull up the website. I would like to cancel my service with no penalties as I am very dissatisfied. I have paid $150 dollars for 1 treatment and they are trying to charge a cancellation fee of $300.Initial Complaint

Business repeatedly did not show up to complete service, but continued to charge. When I rescheduled they still did not show up, but left me a receipt on my customer portal saying they had completed the work. I have video evidence of the first employee showing up and then leaving after ringing the doorbell. I also have video eveidence, and my wife was at home when they did not show up to complete the service on the day I rescheduled them for after the first guy didn’t do the service. When called about issue I was told that I would be charged an early termination fee even though they didn’t complete their service. I continued to tell the service rep Derek that I didn’t want to be charged the money, and that I would call to speak to a higher up before coming to a resolution. When I called the business and asked for the branch manager I was told they would reach out within 3 days, but never received a call, text, or email. Derek then cancelled my service and I was charged $350 out of my bank account without my authorization.Initial Complaint

Date of transaction: 05/20/2021 Amount of money paid: ($710.00 on 5/20/2021) & ($165.00 on 9/22/2022 cancellation fee as agreed.) Service that was supposed to be provided: (The business agreed to provide exterminating services on the property, the house and in the crawl space.) Reason for cancelling the service: (The exterminator did not want to provide the agreed service. Would not go in the crawl space, would not treat the yard or perimeter. The only time they came close to providing the service was the first month June 2021 and even then didn't get it done. They refused to provide the service that was agreed upon.) Reason for dispute: (I paid the cancellation fee $165.00 as agreed upon on 9/22/2022 and they are still trying to bill me for services not provided.) Has the business tried to resolve?: (No, they are harassing me a month 10/20/2022 after they cashed the agreed upon cancellation check for more money.) In June, I signed up for pest control services from Evergreen Pest Control. I was told that in my back yard, they would treat the whole thing. I was also told that they were treating my yard with snake away and other products. I didn't see anything in my yard. I know what snake away looks like and smells like because I use it. I showed them where bees are hiding around my home but no product was used for them. They were at my home less than 30 minutes. 10 of those minutes were inside my home. The information provided about how they treat your home was not completed. No one sprayed inside my walls and no one went up into my attack or under my crawl space. I was told that "they sprayed into the crawl space but didn't go under it. The next week while doing yard work, I discovered some sort of eggs in my yard and wasn't sure what was going on. I called to have someone come back out and treat my yard on several occasions. A supervisor and assistant supervisor was to contact me about the issue and schedule a time to come to my home. Until I saw a missed call from yesterday, I have not been contacted by anyone since trying to have someone come back out to my home. I just finished reading an email from a Tech stating they came to my home on yesterday, 8/2/22 and completed a termite inspection. I never called anyone at this company about getting a termite inspection. No one contacted me to schedule a service call. This company is deceitful and I no longer want anything to do with them. Due to the company not providing the services they advertise and that's in the contract, I should not be charged anything else by this company and I refuse to pay them anything else due to their deceitful business practice and not providing services I contracted for.Initial Complaint

Evergreen Pest Control representatives continuously comes to our house to solicit sales for their company. Every week/weekend, at least once if not twice. We have expressed that we are not interested yet they continue to knock on our door. Our neighbors have had the same experience. We put out a "No Soliciting" sign, as Greenville SC has an ordinance against soliciting if you have a sign out and they completely ignore the sign and still knock on the door. When I answer, not knowing who it is, they ignore me when I say we are a "no soliciting home" and they just try to say their speech anyway. So incredibly annoying and they will not go away. I can find no way to make a complaint about them to Greenville County, so I'm complaining to the BBB. I want them to understand they are not allowed to approach a house with a visible "no soliciting" sign and to cease and desist with the soliciting.
