I have been receiving numerous text messages from this company, claiming that I need to contact them in order to resolve a debt. None of the messages I’ve received were addressed to a specific individual until the one they sent today, which was addressed to someone with the name “Bianca,” which is clearly not my name. The company has not called. They have not left any voicemail. They have not sent any written communications through the US postal service. They just keep sending these cryptic, vague and harassing text messages about this phantom debt. There are no collections on my credit report, I have an amazing credit score and any debts I might have had were from 20 years ago when I was a kid- long past the statute of limitations and long since written off, surely. If this IS my debt, I would like to be sent written communications in a professional manner. Otherwise, if this is a mistake and they have the wrong number, which, after reading all of the BBB complaints is the most likely case, I would appreciate it if this company would stop harassing me about someone else’s mistake and move on.Business Response

Better Business Bureau,
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********* and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I would, however, highly urge the company to do their due diligence in the future in the hopes of avoiding further unwarranted harassment and subsequent time-wasting. I would also urge them to start communicating via paper mail or, at the very least, calling ONCE and leaving a voicemail, with the name of the intended person clearly stated in either written or verbal communications. The practices this company is using are bullying and harassing innocent individuals. I appreciate them straightening this matter out and removing me from their call/text list and I hope that they will amend their practices in the future.
Regards,

Sometime in early May 2025 I received a message from this company about a credit card for which I do not have an account and a bank for which I am not a client. The message came from number 91651. Message 1: We see you checked out our payment portal for your Total Visa Card Issued by The **** ** ******** (for which the current creditor is ***** ******** ******* ********** **** account. Remember to login at ********************************************** and setup payments before your account is returned to our client. This text is from Shepherd Outsourcing, a debt collector. Reply stop to opt-out I never checked out any payment portal prior to receiving this message. The next day I got a second message threatening that I had “limited options” for dealing with said issue: Message 2: We have limited time to work with you before we return your Total **** **** Issued by The **** ** ******** **** ***** *** ******* ******** ** ***** ******** ******* ********** ***) account to our client. See your options at ********************************************** ** **** ************* This text is from Shepherd Outsourcing, a debt collector. Reply stop to opt-out I believe I am been spammed by this company for an account that does not belong to me. If this company is incorrectly tracking my credit I want it to be resolved immediately.Business Response

I have never, ever received an email from them. Today they sent my mom an email that listed all the details to the debt they claim is mine. I am over 30 years old, how does a company contact family members about personal information without the customers approval? And again, never once did I receive an email from them. I have paid the debt directly to the company and owe nothing to Shepherd Outsourcing. They violated my rights by sharing my information with someone I didn't give permission to.Business Response
