Awesome stay! We had a 2 bedroom with full kitchen and lived it. The amenities were awesome too! Couldn't leave without a meal at the **********. Everything was great!

Our stay hasnt even begun and a woman at the front desk has been repeatedly rude, unprofessional, refused to put me in contact with a manager, and hung up on my husband who was inquiring about the cancellation policy which is basic information. Not room specific. The hotel has recently been found to have bugs in rooms, on beds, and is no clean. We were trying to rectify the issue prior to our stay and have been unable to do so. *** never had this issue with a hotel before and would not recommend this business.

Pool was disgusting, huge ***** in our room, room wasn't ready at 4 then gave us some room with a veranda where people were outside our room all night, doorwas broken and banged in the wind all night. They have a security deposit scam at checkin and a parking charge for a hotel with not nearly enough parking for its guests. This hotel has went to c*** and we definitely will never stay here again. Tried to play some game holding our pool bands unless we listened to some c*** about a time share. Doesn't even deserve 1 star.

For own safety do not visit the crown reef in ************. The room they rented us at this sub-par hotel was disgusting. The room was lined in black mold, green mold and water damage. After spending the night there I woke up with a massive head ache from all the mold in the room. Went down stairs with my girlfriend to get breakfast. The food on the buffet was rancid and we had to tell the staff they had to keep the butter, cheese, and salsa at a certain temp/ covered or this would keep on happening, and pleaded with them to change how they maintain the food on the buffet or they were going to kill someone not adhering to OSHA guidelines. After breakfast we went back to our room I opened the door we were greeted by a chemical smell that my girlfriend described as "an odor of pesticides" after we walked past the kitchen's sink to the area to the back of our suite was covered in water. After calling the front desk, worried the next door suite was flooded we were offered a towel to clean up the mess ourselves, and a late check out. At that point they had 5 different people come in and out the room to see the water on the floor. At this point I asked why they had a humidifier running non stop in the room and was blamed because I had the door open to let them in and the back sliding glasses door open to vent out the mold and chemical smell, saying I caused the humidity in the room so they have to run it non stop. They humidifier was full but not over flowing, when we found the water. After helping the man empty the humidifier we found that the humidifier collection bin had not been put on properly and that it was set to continuous pump which the head of house keeping told us was not supposed to be set to and argued that it was only green mold. I was highly disappointed at the customer service, and quality living conditions at this resort.

Crown Reef Resort We are first time guests with this resort. We were here for a basketball tournament for the week. We stayed paying full price not the discounted rate. Our rate was over $2k for the advertised "deluxe"rate. Upon booking I contacted the hotel and was assured this was an updated version of their "classic" rooms. Also was told the earlier you check in you would have a better chance to review room and move if not satisfied. Our room was not updated and the only thing modern was the bathroom sink and one of the tv's. Issues: dirty floors, Murphy bed pullout from wall was dirty, towel rack in bathroom was broken, dirty floor coverings outside on balcony, chairs on balcony not wiped down and most of the plug outlets were loose so anything plugged in would not hold plug. Laundry room as a change machine that doesn't work. Guest services office remains closed. Garage level bathrooms were not cleaned and by the smell it hadn't been in days. We were traveling with a medical complex child which he requires medical devices to be charged and made for a very unnecessary stress event when we woke up and devices did not charge. I immediately same day as check in notified the manger on duty with list of issues and no call back or solution offered to remedy the situation. I had to buy my own cleaning products to clean floors and wipe down room. I was sent email survey and completed the survey from hotel as well asking for a phone call again no response from corporate. Called again the next day was told that manger was out until end of week. Long story short finally got another front desk supervisor and she sent up maintenance and offered 1/16th of the total of the room paid. Never an offer to switch rooms or a decent partial adjustment to our paid invoice. No refund to date. Completely false advertisement of their rooms and what the resort offers. BEWARE booking here if you are looking for a relaxing place to enjoy for the week with your family

Wish I could give zero stars ! Picked this place for my first trip to Myrtle beach in May. Rooms were terrible and dirty. They put us at the end in a corner near the elevator and soda machine. But I wanted to enjoy myself so I ignored it. During our stay a employee who was 27 years old was following my niece who's 16. He cornered her in the elevator and asked her personal questions she told him she was 16!!! He continued following her around the pool during our stay. The last day he walked by her a few times at the pool and would lick his lips and undress her with his eyes. My son confronted him and 3 other employees circled him and was ready to fight a 16 year old boy. We told management they did nothing! The security managers wouldn't tell us his name, they all stated they didn't know even the employees who were with him . Covered it up . I've called to speck to a manager and was told they would get back to me with no response multiple times!!! Ruined my entire family trip!!

My review is about the upkeep/maintenance of the rooms and the misleading pictures and ADs on their website. The front desk staff and reservation deserves a 5, but the rooms deserve 2, which lands you around 2.5 or 3. I pd for four ocean front suits for 3 nights, which cost close to $5000, for June 17-20. When I arrived around 11:00 p.m.on 6/19 I was tired, shocked and disappointed at what i saw and what my family members showed me in their rooms:
    1. Rm *** cover to the AC was hanging off as well as the frame to doorway coming away. Deadbugs on the Deck.
    2. Furniture is clearly 30 years old or older . Telephone paint has worn off and looks dirty.
    3. rm *** paint peeling off of balcony ( could be ledbased) unsure we had children with us . Could not utilize the balcony.. Cigar wrappers on the balcony and the balcony furniture was fealthy
    4. *** described similar issues as well backboard around the shower/tub seams were splitting and moved when touched
    5. Sand was not cleaned out of the rooms in some areas of each room there were sign of sand.
If we could have afforded to packup and leave we would have. Actual rooms are nothing like the pictures and definitely not worth the cost. We stayed in Tower 2 *********** and ****

This was clearly a bait and switch situation. I made my reservation through Crown Reef Resort not a third party. Yes, I am asking for refund in the amount $2325 , because those room are not worth $400 a night nor were access to the amenities.
