Reserved two rooms for 3 nights each in August 2024 for oct 2024 at ocean crest inn and suites in *************** for $430.77. When we arrived at the hotel we saw a sign that the elevator is broken and that refunds can be given. We opted for a refund because the first floor is a parking garage and we are traveling with my parents who are in their 80s and cant do stairs, plus Im legally permanently disabled as well and cant do stairs. We had no way to get to our rooms. So we requested a refund while at the hotel from priceline. They said they must contact the hotel which they did while we waited in the lobby. We were told we would get a refund. That was about oct 25, 2024. We spent three hours finding another hotel. Its now march 2025 and still no refund. I have called priceline 22x and spoke with at least 7 supervisors. Its always the same song and dance. Well we have to contact booking who has to contact the hotel. We have to give them 2 days, or 5 days, or 7 days, or whatever to respond. After that amount of time we will contact you. Silence on my phone. Then I got an email stating that we canceled and the rooms are non refundable. Now priceline refuses to fight for us to get a refund.* we did not cancel the room - we arrived to a broken elevator and had no way to get up the stairs *we are legally permanently disabled - how are we suppose to get up the stairs *we were told that because we did not reserve a handicap room they will not refund the reservation -there is no law stating that I need to tell anyone my medical history to reserve a room at a hotel They offered me a two night refund out of the 6 nights I booked. Are they crazy? They want me to pay them for 4 nights I couldnt use my room because they were not handicap accessible? The *** states equal access, not kind of sort of depending upon how you interpreted access. Its their fault we couldnt stay. I will not pay them any money. After checking in at the hotel on 07/15/2024, as we walked to our room we first noticed multiple people laying on the floors of the hotel through the hallway. This was concerning, but we continued to the elevator to reach our room. We were greeted by an individual working maintenance at the elevator. We briefly spoke about how hot it has been and he pulled a Modelo beer can out of his pocket and stated he was okay since he had his fuel. After entering the elevator, we noticed the roof of the elevator appeared to be held together with black zip ties. We quickly decided to leave the hotel due to obvious safety concerns with housing our 1-year old daughter at this location. We were refunded all but $96.00 after checking out. I do not feel it appropriate to still be charged for a night at this hotel we did not stay due to the obvious safety concerns mentioned.Initial Complaint

i booked a reservation with for ******* children. upon arrival there were 12 police officers there and the front entrance was blocked off. as a single mother traveling with 2 children (2 & 3 year old) i called from outside in the parking lot and requested to just get my money back as this is not a safe environment for ******* children to stay at. they told me no and that i need to check in.Initial Complaint

I came from ******* ******* to ************ for my birthday I chose this ocean crest inn because I thought it was a nice room as they show on the internet. But when I got here I was very upset about my room. The door was mess up, the tube was nice the room was also stinky that I had to buy my own cleaning stuff to clean the room so it can smell and look like a room before I could see in it.Initial Complaint

This hotel had bed bugs, roaches, dirty sheets and black mold! The manager and staff would not help with anything and made me afraid to ask for my money back so my husband and I could find another place to stay. The entire place is filthy and the elevator is a death trap waiting to happen! I asked about checking out the next day and was told I wouldn't be refunded. The place needs to be shut down, staff refused to give me owners contact information.Initial Complaint

Booked a reservation arrived on a Saturday at Myrtle Beach ocean crest after a long trip from are home in NC because I am handicapped have to get out multiple times and stop but Was excited to get to Myrtle beach we arrived checked in at 4:40 dropped our bags off went to find a cooler went to bass pro shop and a few stores about 7pm we finished with that went to find some where for dinner got back to the room about 9 and went to the room half electrical outlets didn't work electrical wires exposed bugs, and bodily fluids on the bedding the shower hadn't been cleaned and look like black mold completely disgusted I called down with no answer from the desk then left a message with the gentlemen that we need our room clean and new bedding still no word my kids are exhausted so I allowed them to sit in the couch with a sheet I brought with me to rest my husband and I waited on the balcony with no word 1 am the desk calls back saying our room is flooding the room below us. Didn't use the water at all went down to office in the morning to speak to manager she wasn't in til 1 but would come up right away to resolve the issue they said they would send house keeping staff manager up to help fix the situation never came at 2pm went to the desk again for the 3rd time manager and house keeper were rude called booking.com they even had trouble with them told me I would be refunded but then told them she wasn't refunding me then told me to leave the property I have never in my whole life been disgusted it should be shut down
