On Jan 13, **** I had my 2013 Cadillac SRX toed to Myrtle Beach ***** Cadillac due to the vehicle not starting. At that time there was no problem with the gas gauge. I was called by the service ***** and was told there were some fuel sensor problems that now exist and weren't repaired due to them not having the parts and now would be very expensive to fix. There would be a check engine light on but the fuel gauge worked. Upon picking the car up Jan.23, 2014 I was told they couldn't read the fault codes on the car if it wasn't running, (not true) On taking the car out of the service area I notice the gas gauge was empty and went to a gas station to fill up. The car was not empty and the gas gauge still did not work. I called the dealer and was told a Service Manager would return my call. That never happened. I called and asked to speak with the ********** ******************************* who wasn't available but would return my call. The next day ********************* called and told me the gas gauge didn't work when the car was delivered to his location the gauge didn't work and can't be proved otherwise. I told him I was pretty good with cars and had in the past repaired engines myself. I have the tools to read fault codes and there were none when the car was delivered to him. He in a verry arrogant manner told me, Then why didn't you fix it yourself. Previous to my bringing the car to The Cadillac Dealer about one two weeks earlier the fuel pump had failed and I brought it to another shop. They couldn't find the trouble but the gas gauge never failed and the trouble went away. Sill no fault codes. Now a fault code PO463 ,fuel sensor exists and the gas gauge does not work. but the car runs.Business Response

The vehicle was towed in, not running, on 1/12/2024. The vehicle repair order was opened by the request of the customer to replace the fuel module. Once the fuel module was replaced and the vehicle was running, the technician discovered that the fuel gauge was not registering. The technician diagnosed the vehicle further to discover that the left and right fuel tank level sensors were not reading correctly. The customer was contacted and advised of the discovery and recommendations. The customer declined the suggested repairs.Initial Complaint

I bought a 2017 **** Escape February 2nd 2022 and by March the following month I had to take my car back because they sold it to me with a blown head gasket. They fixed the head gasket because I had warranty but did not fix the underlying cause. A year later the same issues are recurring which my warranty has expired. I took the car back and they are saying I have to call the manufacturer to get it fixed. The manufacturer is saying Chevrolet Cadillac did not do the correct repair a year ago and that is why my car is messing up so they will not fix the repair since Cadillac is responsible. I spoke with the owner of Chevrolet Cadillac and he said since I did not buy extended warranty he is not paying for my car to be fixed. I told him per **** manufacture your mechanic did not do the repair correctly and he needs to make it right but he continues to say I did not buy the extended warranty so he will not fix it. This repair costs $8,000 for parts and labor. After I expressed my concerns to the owner of Chevrolet Cadillac (*****************************) he then hung up on me and is not taking responsibility for his mechanics mistakes. Chevrolet Cadillac did not know how to do the repair they just did not want to spend the money to fix it correctly the first time and did a quick fix. I spoke with **** manufacturer and a local **** and they both said the repair was not done right and Chevrolet Cadillac had no business repairing the car they should have sent it to **** to be repaired but since Cadillacs mechanics touched it **** will not repair anything. My phone number is ************** please reach out to me to make this right.Business Response

The vehicle was purchased on 2/2/22. Extended warranty was declined by the customer. The first concern was a check engine light on 2/24/22. Dealership repaired at no cost to the customer. Second concern was made on 3/8/22. This concern was corrected by replacing the head gasket per ****'s service bulletin instructions. The service bulletin that was corrected on 3/8/22 is no longer available, as it has since been updated. This was covered at no cost to the customer. On 6/7/22, there was a concern for a noise. This was corrected by removing an item that was stuck in the dash. There was no cost to the customer. We reached out to ************************** recently, again, in August of 2023. We were able to make arrangements to have a local **** dealer repair the vehicle at a reduced price and we would split the cost with the customer 50/50. We reached out to the customer to make arrangements, but she informed us that she has since sold the vehicle.Initial Complaint

I purchased a car May 6 2022 from Chevy Cadillac in Myrtle Beach. Tuesday after purchase on May 10, I called them after driving my car on Highway 31, because the car was shaking when when i was with traffic. I took the car to them Friday because that was the first available appt. They "fixed" the car, replaced the rotors, pads, and the battery and I picked it back up. As I got to daycare, the front driver side tire caught fire and Cadillac had to bring a loaner car on a flatbed to me, with my kid at daycare and tow my just purchased car back to the dealer. Whoever fixed my car didn't bleed the caliper and that is what caught fire. I got my car back monday may 16, 2022. I told them the car still was not fixed it was still shaking. Then my Que screen stopped working and she said she had to order it and would call me when it came in and then they would look at the shaking again. On June 6, she said the screen was in and to leave the car but i told her i need a loaner because i have kids and my sons sees an oncologist and 6 other doctors at MUSC.I spoke with used car manager, the owners son. and he said he would swap out the car for me even trade. but then he offered a truck that was 34k dollars but it was a basic, and i wasn't putting myself in it just bc it was first offered. so i turned it down. Yesterday July 6 2022 ( they had my car for a month, ordered wrong part) I went to ask paul about cars. his dad, the owner told me to be lucky it broke now and not in a year and a half when my warranty is gone. that he put too much money into the car as it is. he told me be happy .now they keep saying there is no other cars on lot to trade. I was on website today and took photos of 7 cars they can trade. they are lying , they dont want the broke car they sold me. its a risk for my kids with the whole car shaking still. We drive alot and all i want is a swap. they took my perfect tahoe and low balled buy to give me junk. i asked for my tahoe , but they sold it.Business Response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/07/12) */ The first visit 5/13/22 RO XXXXXX shows that the vehicle was brought in for a slow start and brakes concern. We replaced the battery, replaced the (front & back) brakes, pads & rotors. Total was $924.84 paid by dealership. Second visit, 5/23/22 RO XXXXXX, vehicle arrived with concerns of smoke from the left front side. We found that when it is hot outside & wet, the caliper can steam/smoke (not catch fire). We replaced the front caliper and flex hose. Total was $206.89, paid by dealership. 5/31/22 RO XXXXXX & XXXXXX, vehicle was brought in for cue screen being frozen and a shutter around 45-50 mph. We replaced the cue screen and torque converter. While performing a test ride after, we found there was a rough ride going over bumps. We replaced the front struts. This total was $4,913.16 covered by warranty, dealership paid the deductible. We do our very best to take care of our customers concerns to the fullest of our ability in a goodwill attempt to retain our customer's. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/07/13) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) When I left the car the first time, nothing of myself ever mentioned brakes, I mentioned the shake of the car. So the service person made an error because brakes were never mentioned on my part. My call after purchasing it 4 days later was about it shaking at freeway speeds to work. All these items replaced they cleary knew needed fixed but was at a problem with them not me. As far as front struts this is a lie. Samantha's never told me once anything about a problem with the front struts. All she told me was it was the torque convertor for transmission. I have this in all the text communications throughout the visits. They never even said there was a problem with my struts she just said the the service dept ordered the torque and it was 3 week back hold and when it came in , it was wrong part and the " new part" came in 3 days later. I asked her to test drive the car on 3- or a highway at highway speeds which was never done before giving the car back to me. Obviously as a dealership they will lie. But I also have a text from sales person asking about if Paul had found a car to swap. Bc this is what was suppose to be done. And now daddy is (owner) mad that they sold me a lemon and already invested too much money into a piece of ****. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/07/14) */ All repair orders were discussed with the customer in detail and signed by the customer. A vehicle was offered to be swapped. The customer declined. Consumer Response /* (4200, 12, 2022/07/15) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I actually only have 1 (ONE) paper that was from the second time I plpicked it yp. Not the first time nor the last time. They did offer me a piece of junk pick up truck Chevy that was priced value 7000 grand cheaper. Sales person even told me don't take it if I have all these plans of changing everything on inside bc it was a stock car. Which on their website they have several SUVS same price that they refused to swap with me. And. I HAVE THE TEXT MESSAGES from the service person saying it was torque convertor ONLY.. I have been in contact with Cadiliac Corporate 4 times. They keep calling me to make sure this place has called me and they have not. So they have forwarded the complaint to the district manager of Cadiliac corporation. Also the last text I got for a bill was for 1400 and some change. Samantha told me don't worry about it because she had to bill warranty. Which means they altered their bill after I left, after the complaint to add over 3000 of fake charges to the bill. Remember like daddy (the owner) said, better it broke now rather than year and a half later, and he already put too much money in it. And I need to keep it. Spoke to several GM of other dealerships in the area. The last they can do it is cover the cost of the car payments while I NEVER even had the car. Since they obviously lied about looking for something to come in and swap it with. Business Response /* (4000, 14, 2022/07/21) */ We have done all that we can. The customer has not paid anything to repair the vehicle. We offered her a trade, but she declined. There is nothing more we can do. Consumer Response /* (4200, 16, 2022/07/22) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The offered me a piece of trash truck that wasn't even on the lot for sale. A customer just had traded it. So they did not offer me a car on their lot that was for sale. On their website there was 7 other SUVs the same price range they offered on the truck that wasn't even listed for sale. Cadiliac Corporate suggested going to a different dealership since this dealership didn't even return a phone call back to me after 5 calls from corp.. they lied to corporate about calling me. No point in going on with people who just lie because they are in the wrong. People in sales lie all the time. But I have all text communications to prove they are the liars. And I am eventually going to trade the piece of **** in somewhere else eventually. It shakes like **** and I am going to check wheels and tires but of course they wouldn't check that first because it's more expensive .
