      I deal with FSR at The Regatta. Missy and Susan have always keep my company informed of any changes or updates that we would need to keep their fitness equipment up and running. As a technician and service provider having that type of team available is invaluable. Their desire to keep things in order for their residents truly shows.

      I am a first time home buyer and this is the Most unscrupulous company I have EVER dealt with!!! I have contractor to come out and landscape our yard on the 11th of every month, but this company has found a way to somehow charge us $1351 in fines IN 1 MONTH due to landscaping. We didn't receive anything in the mail, no emails sent, NOTHING. I go to pay our payment of $60 monthly fee and find this exorbitant amount. This company has made us HATE living in this neighborhood!

      This is my second year as a HOA Board manager with FSR as our managing agent, and after replacing our first property manager who did not work out, our new Property Manager, Jackie, and our continuing Assistant Manager, Dana, are the DREAM TEAM! Both are extremely personable and kind, careful and thoughtful listeners that always follow up promptly, and readily available at ANY time. Jackie's management reports are exceptionally comprehensive and reflect her attention to detail. She fly-specks the HOA's financial statements each month noting any and everything of interest or concern. And amazingly, she is available 24/7 by phone. I can only hope that FSR compensates her well. Dana continues to be the "go to" person for issues large and minute who understands instantly, finds the answer or solution to even the most unusual matters, and does so great grace. I dread the day that we might lose her when she is promoted to property manager. My only concern about these two is that another managing agent steals them!

      Absolutely terrible! I am sure things could be worse but for this being my first HOA, I am severely disappointed. For about two years now, the FirstService Residential payment website, as well as the smaller neighborhood website, has shown that I had no payments due or something along those lines. This includes the older website that use to be used. I recently found out that my dues were sent to collection after I paid almost $1200.00 for a fine I was disputing. I caved in and paid the fine even though they could not provide prof of the claim that was set against me. I inquired about my dues not showing up and I was directed to a law firm that said I now owe over $1000.00 in dues, late fees and processing fees. Even now the websites still say that no payments are due. Whatever they have to show that I missed payment dues, I do not have access too. I was never informed that any of this was going on. I am extremely disappointed in FirstService. I thought things had gotten better after nearly $1200.00 fee but I was wrong. I will be extremely happy when I move out of this neighborhood and away from FirstService. When I first moved in, my neighbors warned me about them, I should have listened.

      Hello,

      While we work closely with each of our communities, FirstService Residential is not the HOA. Our role is to work at the direction of the association's elected board of directors in accordance with the policies, procedures and governing documents of the community. FirstService Residential does not set the scope of work.

      That being said, we'd like to offer some background on this situation. You reached out on 7-19-22 for a refinance inquiry but were unable to access your account to obtain a statement. This is when our manager connected you with our finance team, because it was listed that there was an active lien (recorded Feb. 2020) and a past due balance.

      What we discovered from our ledger is that your account was paid in full in May, 2020 and our finance team should have been notified and the lien released. Your last payment was made in Sept. 2020 and you had access to make payments through Feb. 2021, but we did not receive any during that time period.

      Due to the fact that you were still coded to legal in our system, when we switched to our Connect solution in Feb. 2021, your account was disabled at that time from making online payments. If you tried to make a payment via ClickPay, you would have discovered that you could not and that you did not owe any balance.

      Since we did not hear from you (no notes in Connect other than a violation inquiry and the most recent refinance request) , and therefor were unaware you were having technical difficulties with our previous system, we were unable to support you to provide assistance. We sent frequent notices, but due to the issue with your account, you would not have received anything from Connect.

      We are working diligently with you to have this issue resolved.

      My wife and I have owned property at the Retreat at ********* ***** for the past 4 years. I'd like to take this opportunity to share my thoughts about Lizzy D****** who is the First Service property manager there.
      We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Retreat, due a great deal to the outstanding job done by Lizzy D******. Lizzy is always available, either in person or by phone. She always made herself available, whether it was during her scheduled work time or after hours. I know this first hand as I was a building representative for our building. There were times an after hours call would be made about our elevator going out. Lizzy not only fielded the call, but she always followed through by getting the repair crew to respond quickly. This is just one example of Lizzy's dedication to her job and to the community.
      More than this, Lizzy is a good friend. I could go and talk with her about anything. We enjoyed many conversations about our lives. She enjoyed hearing about what was going on with Sherry and me. And I enjoyed asking and hearing about her daughter.
      Being the Community Manager at the Retreat is not an easy job. With 264 units, a mixture of f*** time residents, part time residents, and long term rental residents, the diversity of backgrounds and opinions is almost unimaginable.
      However, Lizzy takes this all in stride, listening to concerns, and sharing those with the HOA President and Board of Directors.
      Lizzy has still kept in touch with us. She has put us in touch with our new First Service property manager, Jackie B***.
      I appreciate the opportunity to let you know that Lizzy is a top notch property manager for First Service. The Retreat is extremely fortunate to have her!

      Prompt and helpful.

      Our neighborhood HOA database had some external house paint color selection discrepancies which left room for confusion for those of us wishing to get our houses painted this season. After notifying the First Service Residential team of the discrepancies, Dana W**** (assistant community manager) reached out to me, apologized for the confusion and committed to rectifying the situation. A few days later, I was notified that the database was updated. And an EMAIL was sent out to the entire community alerting all of us to the latest updated external house paint color palate.

      Problem solved!

      I sold my property (an empty lot) in...
      I sold my property (an empty lot) in 9/2020 next door to my 2nd lot I am selling this month of December, 2021. The Resale Dept. is not reachable by phone to discuss and understand the exorbitant fees of $889 fees they charge which is over 16% of my last one. FirstServe customer service rep. can only give me the email address to email Resale Team which they had referred me to ***********. *********** told me that they have nothing to do with except their online ordering service. They told me that they often get calls from home sellers like myself. I, then called FirstServe back and explained that my conversation with ***********. FirstServe customer rep. said again. The only way to reach them is through email. HORRIBLE HOA company and buyers BEWARE of their practices. PLEASE AVOID ANY HOA COMMUNITY HIRED FIRSTSERVE TO MANAGE YOUR PROPERTY.
