Since 2020 to date, I have reported multiple roofing issues/damages to my insurance company and have requested a new roof on my home. This issue is ongoing. I have been given small amounts of money to fix very expensive issues that should and could have been simply resolved with a new roof as Ive told them each time Ive reported. I have come out of pocket more due to their failure to resolve this ongoing issue many times independently without their assistance. None the less this insurance company has continued to collect funds from me and now states they are going to cancel me if I file another claim related to the same unresolved issue with my roof. I was just told this October 30th. I am familiar with my policy and coverage. This should have been resolved in 2020. Here I am 4 years later with the same continuous damages/ issues and no assistance from the company I trusted to take care of my home in times of need such as this. The resolution I seek is replacement roofing on my home. With every hard rain and snow , I am faced with more damage as it has been reported to Farm Bureau.Business Response

Last year I sought a quote for health insurance from Farm Bureau, who required a 30 dollar fee (dues) for a quote. I decided not to pursue a plan through them and received a letter stating that if I did not explicitly decline the plan, the amount would be charged to my account on file. So I called to explicitly decline as well as to ensure that my bank account information was removed from their system. I was told that it was.Fast forward to July 29, 2024 when I see that 30 dollars has been removed from my bank account by Farm **********************. When I called the ********************* as I was directed to do via email) to again inform them that I have no insurance plan with them and want my account information deleted, I was told that they would send me a check for the money and that my banking information would be removed. It has been over one month and I have yet to receive the check, so disputed the charge at my bank and have been refunded. However, I am seeking written confirmation that my banking information is no longer in their system. I would also like to note that I received no communication re the withdrawal of funds from my account and that when I attempted to get online with my username and password in attempt to resolve the issue, my credentials do not work. As I was told on the phone - I have no products/policies with the company. So what I am wanting is written confirmation that my banking information has been removed from their system so that they can no longer gain unauthorized access my account. Thank you, *************************Business Response

October of 2023 we had a water leak in the kitchen and lost the countertops flooring and the cabinets. Farm bureau would not replace the top cabinets to match the bottom, went thru all there steps in the policy to the Point of neutral adjustors. But they told the adjustor not to include certain items that was damaged, and because of this they have committed insurance fraud. Plus according to the policy they don't have to have a umpire a third party come and fair rule on this matter. But farm bureau in other states do, just not in Tennessee this constitutes as unfair and bad business practice. Most lawyers are on retainer so you can't use them they have Tennessee locked up to their benefit only, leaving the consumer very little options if any at all. They hope you give up because of them controlling the outcome.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
FARM BUREAU has acted in bad faith by offering a low ball amount to fix our kitchen and laundry room from an approved water damage claim. They know they are wrong in doing so. We have submitted several quotes from verified contractors and Farm Bureau has refused all of them. There is a difference of thousands of dollars and we have lived with this for almost a year. They are dishonest and have been nothing but unprofessional. **** ***** was assigned to our case out of *********** **** nor **** or any other representative from Farm Bureau have been to our home to access the damages. Only a hired sub contractor to access and his amount was $6100. All othere quotes we have turned in, the lowest being $25,000 has been rejected. So no, they have not handled our claim in the way an insurance company promised when we chose them to protect us.Sincerely,

We understand Mr. ****** disagrees with the outcome of his claim.
We have explained the additional options of filing a complaint with the Department of Commerce and Insurance or pursuing additional payment through litigation.
Our position is unchanged. I would refer back to our original response.

I have had auto insurance with Farm Bureau for 32 years. I recently traded vehicles. I called my local agent to switch coverage from my old vehicle to my new. Two days later, I received a call from a representative, ***************. She informed me that since I am married, all my husband's vehicles would have to be insured by Farm Bureau or they would set my policy for nonrenewal. I explained that my husband and I are separated, getting a divorce, and have not lived in the same household for over 6 months. I am the only person who drives my vehicle, I am the only person listed on my vehicle registration, and I am the only person listed on the title (besides finance **** I called the corporate office on 7/1/2024 and spoke with an underwriter. I explained that my policy states that coverage is required for family members and the policy defines "Family member means a person who is a resident of your household". The underwriter said that since I am legally still married, that was the policy. I asked where that was stated in my policy. The underwriter said it is not in my policy or contract, it was just something they "go by". This is just ridiculous that none of this was a problem until I decided to trade vehicles. This was not mentioned 8 years ago when I got married and changed my name and address on the policy. If this is a hard fast rule it should be IN WRITING and IN THE CONTRACT/POLICY. They will not provide coverage for my new vehicle therefore I am due a refund.Business Response

According to our records, *******'s policy period was February 4, 2024, to August 4, 2024, and she has paid a total of $374 for this term. Her policy is currently cancelled as per her request and $57 of unearned premium has been refunded to her credit card. She would not be eligible for a full refund for this term as coverage was provided until July 1, 2024.
In reference to the terms of her policy, we were not aware that ******************* had gotten married. When we found that her marital status had changed and her husband was insured elsewhere, we advised that it was in her best interest to insure all the autos she and her spouse own with the same carrier.
Since ******************* did not wish to share the husband's driver or vehicle information with us, the company then elected to cancel the policy for a change in risk. Shortly thereafter, ******************* requested to cancel her policy and advised that she had obtained coverage elsewhere.
We hope this information helps resolve the matter.

I was sent a letter saying that the company was not renewing my insurance coverage for my cars and boat. When I called me agent and discussed this with him he said they were canceling my policies because I had too many claims in a certain amount of time(10 years). I explained to the agent that the claims were not my fault. All of them are from people running into my vehicles and I wasnt even in the vehicle when they happened and one claim for a broken windshield from a stone. The agent then told me that it didnt matter that the claims were my fault or not but it was how many I had which I believe was 4 in 11 years. So what this tells me is the company wants us to pay for insurance but dont use it or well cancel you.Business Response

We filed an insurance claim because our retaining wall fell at our home residence, crashing on two of our vehicles and totaling them. We have continually tried to talk with the company in regards to how the wall fell during a windstorm of up to 80 mph winds in the area. They hired an engineer to assess the damage without even getting into the problem of the wall as it was covered with 4 foot of dirt piled on top. The only way to see the wall was from one side, and that side was falling to the ground, but kept from completely falling because our cars stopped it. We have requested on multiple occasions for an engineer to come out and reevaluate the structure as he made claims about the structure based on his opinion, only since you could not see the actual structure , since it was under 4 foot of dirt. Upon excavation, we uncovered multiple things that had to do with the integrity of the wall that the engineer stated wasnt there simply because he couldnt see it. We have had no luck getting them to come back out to reassess nor even look at covering any of the expense. They have created their own assessment of how the wall fell based off of flooding without flooding even being possible that day because they lack of rain. The Manager stated he has not covered a retaining wall before, and he will not do it now. There is nothing in our policy that states this would not be covered based on wind damage, but they refuse to even state in claim that wind was a factor that day. We have reached out to the corporate office. We have also reached out to a public defender even bc they have refused to even work with ** at all. The same day in our neighborhood tornadoes were reported as well as trees on fences but they refuse to even acknowledge that as a problem bc then they would have to claim responsibility. We have been fighting this for over a month & have a 40 Ft wall down & they could care less to help at all.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I do not understand any reason of there being a problem with privacy for why they cant talk with you. I will sign anything & waive anything on your side or theirs to have someone help us with this problem! We are simply requesting a follow up with them & can not get that. From the pictures I sent you these are the same pictures they put for our reason of why they will not cover the claim. There is nothing in pictures as to why a 50 year old wall fell from rain that didnt happen. They stated flooding caused our wall to fall & improper building of the wall. Yet they have no pictures of flooding or the improper building of the wall just the same pictures I showed you which is one big wall falling. I believe they simply dont want bad press & thats why they dont want their name spoke of via this way.

On Sunday November 27,2022 I was in a very bad car wreck which cause my car to be totaled and a trip to the ** with a swollen finger and airbag ***** on my right arm and by the way I was not at fault. So days go by and I havent received a call from her insurance company which is Farm bureau. I called and left messages with ****** and he never returned my calls. I end up going back to the ** because of neck n back pains. Also, I end up calling back for a supervisor which is *************************** and he took over my claim. By now its already a week and Im still without a car. *************************** sets me up with 2 different rental car agencies and tells me I would have to call everyday and see if they have any cars available. If Im not at fault for the accident why is this company giving me a hard time. I asked if you book a reservation how do you know if cars available ***** stated that he wouldnt know so its up to me to find out all the insurance company does is book the reservation and thats it!!!! So here it is no car no nothing. Ive missed 2 weeks from work and every morning I wake up Im in pain. I called ***** yesterday and left a message and he still hasnt returned my calls. I dont think this company understands the pain Im going through every morning. I know I will have to go through therapy to get back to where I was. Im tired of calling and I wanted to get a lawyer as my last option but it seems like I am!!!!Business Response

My insurance carrier for the past 3 years is canceling my Homeowners policy due to an INQUIRY I made in December 2021, regarding a visitor to my home, getting a nip on her hand from my dog, that is completely fenced in my backyard , at least 200 feet away from my door. She had to walk past my Beware of the Dog signs posted on my property and reach over the fence to pet my dog without permission. I did not witness the incident and the lady had no intention of making me aware of the incident because she knew she was completely responsible for what happened. I have never filed any claims, although my records indicate a couple of claims this , one of which is preventing other insurance carriers to accept my application.although Farm Bureau of TN agrees they have never paid any claims from me, they do not admit that I have never filed a claim. I feel I have been treated unfairly and unprofessionally, The representative I spoke to actually accused me of things I have never done. She told me that this was NOT normal Dog behavior and that I had TRAINED my dog to bite! I live in a rural area and my Dog never runs free. But the Dog’s purpose here is first to be a pet, a part of my family, but also to protect our property from wild animals and to alert us of activity on our property that we may miss from inside the House. I have small grandchildren that play with my dog and my dog is friendly but didn’t know this person . I have been a loyal client for over 3 years, I was never alerted about any claims filed, I simply received a letter in August of 2022 stating that Farm Bureau will not renew my Homeowners insurance policy and I have 2 months to find new coverage.Business Response
