    I purchased a 2021 *** X-3 from this dealership in October 2023. I was planning to ship the car to ******* where we had purchased a new home. After agreeing on the price of the vehicle, the salesperson brought me the invoice that added two items I had not asked for - an extended warranty and "Permplate" coverage which provides an extended warranty on the interior and exterior finish. I told the salesperson that I did not need either - and he insisted that he would not sell me a car that was going to be in ******* without this protection. Frankly, I should have left - but I really wanted the car as it was exactly what I was looking for and I was in a hurry due to other appointments. The salesman was rather pushy and wasting my time and I needed to leave. I assumed that this was something I could review later and cancel if it was unwanted. The documentation for Permaplate was one page and did not fully describe the warranty. I called the company to cancel this policy and they told me that it was nonrefundable as their product had been applied to the car. The full documentation that they sent me included the "non-refundable" provision. This was not included in the documentation that the dealer gave me. I even asked the dealership to send me all documents and the Permaplate document was only one page. I have tried to obtain a refund from the dealership but have not received any reply despite several reminders.

    Despite their email to you promising to reimburse me, I have not received any more communication or payment!   Can you "re-open" and inquire for me - or should I make the contact myself?

    Hi - I am confused why you have closed this matter and it is not posted on the BBB site.  I did respond to all inquiries from BBB.  the history, If you review the history, the company originally agreed to refund my money and I said that would settle the issue. However, they NEVER did refund the money despite my inquiries.  I sent a subsequent follow-up to BBB about the lack of payment.  You sent them a complaint and they NEVER responded.  The bottom line is that this should be recorded as such and my complaint stands.  Although they did first promise, they have not provided any refund.  Thus, I am still complaining!  I realize BBB cannot do much more at this point - but the negative rating should stand in the public system, along with our correspondence.  Please advise.  Thank you.

    I dont understand why you would close the complaint.  I have responded twice now that the company never refunded my money despite their promise to do so.  I would like this to be noted in public that they did not resolve my complaint.  Please advise
