I paid off my car loan on Feb 23 2025 adding up to, around 3200 dollars. I have been waiting on my title since then. I begin reaching out to the credit union Monday April 14 2025, in regards to my title. I have spoken to many different Representatives since Monday April 14 but no one has been able to help. I was told a woman by ***** **** would call me back on Monday, they representative took down my accurate contact information and that was last I heard. ***** proceed to email me, by an old email address the lien of release, so I could get a duplicate. She never called me like I expected. I responded to her email, asking what this was and where is my original title. A duplicate title is going to cost me extra money, but I never received the original title. I have spoken to someone on the phone everyday from April 14-April 17. On the 17th of April I was told **** would give me a call back within 48 hours. I have not heard from ****, I’ve left numerous voicemails. I never got an emailed response from *****. This company sent my legal document to an old address of 9 years ago. Not the address I filed on the paperwork, 1.5 years ago upon taking out this loan. No one will return my calls, no one is answering my emails, and no one is helping me with this problem. Their employees failed to update my information, therefore, my car title got sent to the wrong address.

The timeline of events character count exceed the available space in this field. The timeline and character count could not be reduced enough to fit this field. It is attached to this complaint as a word document entitled TimeofEvents.docx. The additional documents include documents provided by TVFCU certifying the dates of transfer/payoff, payoff, lien satisfaction, screenshots of the Florida vehicle record before and after certified non-ownership. To briefly summarize the attached timeline, I financed a vehicle that was transferred to me as a gift from my spouse via TVFCU on 11/06/2024. I expected the title transfer to be completed within the typical, reasonable timeframe of 30 days. It has been 3 months and as of 02/08/2025, the transfer remains incomplete. Based on the evidence and testimony provided in the attached documents: I believe TVFCU was negligent in its duty to prepare and submit the necessary paperwork in a timely fashion. I believe they did not actually submit the paperwork until my spouse contacted them about a suspended license nearly 2 months later. I believe that they lied about the problem being caused by the ****** to avoid accountability and consequences. I believe that they failed to rectify the situation with a sense of urgency. I believe I am due compensation for the time spent, costs incurred, and unnecessary amount of anxiety and frustration I've endured as a direct result of the TVFCU's negligence in processing the legal paperwork to complete this transaction. Thank you for your time.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: The BBB received and relayed a response from TVFCU on February 14th. In the response, TVFCU said they would contact me directly due to privacy concerns. It is 5 days, going on 6, and I have yet to be contacted. As aforementioned, this is an urgent situation that has significant financial and legal implications. This failure to contact me further demonstrates the ongoing lack of urgency and prioritization of this situation by the TVFCU. It is nearly 4 months since this car was supposed to have been transferred to my name and ownership. I have been paying car payments on a loan for a vehicle I still do not legally own and cannot legally drive. This is outrageous, negligent, unprofessional, and unacceptable.

      Sincerely,
      **** *********

I paid off my vehicle with TVFCU on 12/9/24. I called around 12/3/24 to ask what needed to happen since I sent in my payoff. They stated it would take a couple weeks to process and I didn’t need to do anything. Reached out again around 12/18/24 inquiring on title. They told me 2-4 weeks with the holidays could be longer. I have several messages and then they message back as if I’m bothering them. Told me that they previously told me a time frame. I had a lost payment back around 8/2024 and contacted them and my bank. My address and information is up to date or is was at the time. Yet my title was sent to wrong address. I do not work for the bank but I did my due diligence in asking what needed to happened and nothing was verified. I have called several times and they just asked me to fill out a formal change of address via email yesterday. I notified them when I moved and set up my payments. That was 2019. I need my title. I will attach copies of messages as well.

Last December 13th, 2023, my wife & I open a CD account at TVFCU under account # ****** for a 6 months period due 6/13/2024 for $9,000. According to the details, they offer us a 5% dividend rate that supposed to be credit in our account at the maturity date. On June 21, 2023 we checked our statements & find out that the only credit us 2.5%. We called the credit union but, they advised us to go in person for an explanation. At the location, we spoke with an manager & she told us that to get the 5% we must keep the money for 1 year. We had been mislead & what they do it is a false advertising. We demand the other 2.5% to be pay by them.

Paid off the account in full using cash that I deposited into my checking account at the same bank, they then held the title for 10 days and now have not updated to my credit report and I am not able to get another loan to get another car due to my credit report still reporting this account as active and open. Went by the branch in Chickamauga and Ringgold and it seems no one knows who to speak to in the "credit reporting" department

On January 26, 2024, my grandson, ****** ********, and I went to the Hixson, TN, credit union branch and met with a loan officer. On that day, we paid off the remaining balance of my grandson's loan for his 2019 Ford Ranger pickup, and we were told by the loan officer at the Hixson, TN, branch that we would receive the title within two weeks. It has been over six weeks, and we have yet to receive the title. When we call to request updates, the staff is not very helpful and will only tell us that the title is in a vault in Pennsylvania and that the mail is slow.

We entered the Hwy 58 location to deposit a check. We were accompanied by ****** ***** who had legal POA authority to sign the check over to myself and my wife to deposit. The male bank representative literally told us that the credit union refused to help us as long term customers because the credit union had to "CYA"- cover it's ***. We deserve more professional customer service than what we received. We left the location feeling like we were not valued customers. The gentleman was very suspicious. This is not the credit union customer care that we grew to love and respect throughout the years of doing business.

I am writing to express my profound concern about the disclosure of my nonpublic information to credit bureaus and the resulting inaccuracies on my credit report, leading to significant financial and emotional distress. As outlined in 15 USC 1681 Section 602, I assert my right to financial privacy, expecting the confidential treatment of my information. Moreover, 15 USC 1681 Section 604(a)(2) underscores that a consumer reporting agency cannot furnish account information without my written instructions, which have not been provided. I have identified discrepancies on my credit report originating from TVFCU, adversely impacting my financial well-being. I urgently request the rectification of these inaccuracies. Lastly, please be reminded of 15 USC 1666(b), preventing creditors from treating payments on a credit card account as late under specific circumstances. I submitted an online bill payments to ******* ********* **** on October 31 to be delivered on November 17. I received an email confirmation from TVFC on November 17, stating that my payment was mailed on November 11 for $30, with the confirmation number, *********. I checked my ****** billing account and noticed that my payment was not received. When I called the customer service, I was advised my payment was not received and I now owe an additional late fee payment and additional charges. I would like TVFC to be held liable for the original payment not being received and to have the additional late fees and charges to my credit report removed due to this financial institution error in mispayment. I was advised my the ********* rep that I now have an additional 30 late fee to my account and this late fee will reflect on my credit report.
