I have received countless phone calls and letters stating that I have not provided proof of full coverage for my vehicle, when in fact I did provide the requested information. So TVFCU decided to apply unbelievably expensive CPI (private insurance), and HAMMER me with extra unneeded and unnecessary coverage. This raised my payment by about 35 percent and lengthened the lifespan of my loan. After going to the business several times to attempt resolution and about 50 phone calls they have lost me forever as a customer. I have contacted an attorney and am filing a complaint with the BBB. I have paid off several vehicles with them in the past, but this is the last one, I am done being treated this way by this credit union. Thanks for nothing TVFCU, you guys turned a difficult financial situation into an impossible one.

The Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union Staff staff at the 4974 TN-58 and at 491 Greenway View Dr in Chattanooga, TN sent me a card wishing me a Happy Retirement. Also, the level of professionalism and friendliness at both credit union locations has exceeded the *********** retail standard. Dale Carnegie professional training is modeled after ***********. Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union is who other businesses need to model themselves after now in terms of providing the highest levels of customer service and professionalism with sincere appreciation and friendliness towards customers. Job well done!!

I financed a vehicle through Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union. The pre-approval process was great. However, the tag registration department workers are HORRIBLE! I've had my drive-out tag for a little over a month, they claim they were having issues with my dealership not signing on the back of the title. I called my dealership and was advised they signed the paperwork and returned it to TVFCU. I was working with K**** O*** at TVFCU and was very dissatisfied with her lack of communication, I felt like I was doing her job communicating back and forth with the dealership. I always contacted her first with an update and her response was "I haven't heard anything back". I requested to work with a supervisor. I received a phone call from Paul, I was advised by him that everything will be taken care of, and I will receive my tag the following week. I have not heard from him, I've called his office and left voicemails, but he is not returning my calls. As of today, my drive-out tag is still expired, and I have not received an update from anyone. This process with the tag registration department is a complete nightmare. The workers highly lack communication. I don't recommend financing a car through this bank.

I am aware of not being able to use my checking account/ card more than 3 transactions with Zelle, PayPal , Apple etc, however my job requires me to travel and unfortunately a branch isn’t available in all states! TVA has started limiting and blocking the amount of deposits I can put into my account via Zelle , Cashapp, PayPal and Apple! This is completely insane and how else can I deposit money instantly if I’m being blocked and limited to the amount of deposits I can make from my other accounts. I attempted 4 deposits on yesterday and all were blocked by my card issuer as the message stated! 2 items came through but was charged an overdraft fee simply because I couldn’t transfer money into my account! I have $***** pending to be deposited in 1 day via payroll and this is not a new payroll! I’m certain they can see the pending deposits but can’t allow any card deposits which very inconvenient for customers traveling.

I went in to the Ooltewah office with my daughter today and have never been so disrespected in a bank. I have been banking for over 30 years and worked for a bank out of college. I opened an account with my underaged daughter because she had cash that she wanted an account that she could buy things online. I have 2 older kids that I did the same thing with and their accounts are 100% free. Anyway, my daughter noticed after the second month that she was getting a service fee charged to her account and we were told that her account would also be free. No conditions were given at all. The branch reluctantly reversed the 2 charges but said we would get one more charge. They then advised me that I should just pay the 3rd charge that hadn't yet come out because if they reversed that one, they wouldn't be able to reverse anything else on the account again. This was THEIR mistake, not mine. We will be withdrawing her money as soon as I do some better research and find a bank that has better customer service. I would never recommend this bank to ANYONE! I would give a negative star review if it was an option.

Got locked out of all my funds due to a compromised password but when I went to the branch the fraud lady was gone on lunch and took a long lunch, didnt come back in time, so I had to leave with my account still locked out to go to work. I am currently having to go hungry at work because TVFCU will lock you out of your own money and rob you of it through hidden charges. When you go to resolve it they will give you all kinds of excuses why you cant access your own money but wont actually fix it. I am switching banks and it is a HUGE relief knowing I wont have to deal with TVFCU's unprofessionalism anymore.

Dayton branch office very rude and discourteous I drove 45 min to sign paperwork and give ID (I am a customer) they said I would have to wait as their systems were down I am 66yrs of age I asked to use their bathroom they said NO then after receiving my paperwork I left only to be called back for a mistake they made there was supposed to be no upfront fees(this was in writing) I had to go back and give them 25 dollars hope the other branches have better people it's so wrong to treat customers as if they are beneath you !!

I use to bank with regions & truist, but I got a loan through TVFCU and got set up with a checking account & the mobile app setup and it is very easy to pay my loan when I want. I personally have never had any issues with them. They help me manage my Banking far more than any other institution I've used and are much more friendlier. I read the other reviews on here and I have to disagree. They are moving into the future & have made banking easier and safer than ever. I saw someone leave a comment about Insurance charges being added to the loan, and I thought "Its common sense that the car needs to be insured in your name with the institutions lienholder address on it or else they get insurance for you (thats not cheap)" Every other bank does the same thing with their loans if you don't provide them proof of insurance, so I feel as that is not a necessary statement to make. Most people do not realize that all banks / credit unions follow the same policies enforced by the NCUA/FDIC and don't have a choice in the matter. Take it how you want complaining just because you couldn't get a loan & only ******* financial will give you a loan sounds like you need to work on yourself.

I don't know why all the negative reviews. I have two auto loans and a mortgage threw them. App works great. Never had any issues. My paycheck sometimes even goes in early. Never had any holds on direct deposit checks.
