To Whom it may concern, I have never taken the time to reach out to the BBB on behalf of a business mishap, but due to the poor quality and what is perhaps misrepresentation, I felt it necessary to prevent this from happening again to someone else, and to request help in recovering financial loss. We hired ******** ******* who advertised as "FNG Excavation & Construction", and we contractually agreed upon a job on November 30th 2023, with the scope of work to be done for us in the means of preparing our land for a barn to be constructed. Agreed amount of $3,462 with a deposit of $850 placed down at his request on 11/30 completed by us. Contract attached. The scope of the work included the following: "Grade and prep 30x30 area for shed, allowing 1”/10’ of drop side to side and front to back. Prep and grade 30x12 area adjacent to structure for lean-to. Gravel will be spread around the edge of the site and where lean-to will go. Float down from prep to natural grade on the low side in front of the structure." On November 30th ******** arrived and my husband ***** met with him, providing him with string, and stakes. He worked the site that day and had to return to complete it. On December 4th, ******** arrived, worked on the site, and later stated the job was completed and all contractual agreements/specifications had been met. We paid the remaining balance of $2,612. On January 13th our barn building company arrived (*** *****) and unloaded the materials. Approached the site and upon looking at the site could visually tell there was a slope on the back Right corner. Upon measuring for levelness *** ***** worker, ******* stated and provided pictures to us that the site was in fact 13 inches off from being level. The building company could not move forward and they were from North Carolina. This was a huge setback. My husband ***** reached out to ******** on January 13th and advised of the huge discrepancy and requested that he call the building company gentleman who was on site, before they had to leave the area, and to try to resolve this as quickly as possible. ******** replied that he would call the company on Jan 13th and speak to *******. Per our information with *** ***** ******** never contacted *******. On January 18th my husband reached out again asking for a resolution to this site to get the ground ready so we can move forward with the barn as *** ***** is waiting for us. He responded he would make a trip to the site and see what discrepancies there were and wanted to remind us that he met our contractual specifications and further work would require us to pay him additional money. On January 23rd my husband reached back out to ******** asking when he was going to make the site to specifications. He has yet to return to the site and has at this time refused any and all responsibility to correct this 13 inch discrepancy. We have had to hire an additional contractor to now complete the work to make it site ready. Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter. The email for ******** ******* is: ******************************** *** ***** *** ***** **** *** **************************
