I parked in a lot in north Chattanooga while I was patronizing a local business. The signs posted said that parking was for "Customers only", which applied to me. I came back to a $40 parking ticket, and the only way to pay is an online portal where they tack on an additional $4 "service fee". This is a ridiculous charge for parking in a business's parking lot while patronizing the business itself. For reference, the Chattanooga parking authority charges $11 for parking violations. Bird Dog Parking does not list a phone number or office location on the ticket, making it very difficult to contact customer service. This business is merely preying on the city's residents.

Bird Dog Parking runs a scam across Chattanooga! I parked in the bird dog parking lot next to 1*** ***** in St Elmo on Sunday June 11. I scanned the QR code posted on the sign in the parking lot on my phone and paid the $3 fee for one hour from my Apple Pay credit card about 1:00. I paid another $3 fee after I was notified that my time was about to expire, close to 2:00. When I got to my car later I had a ticket from Bid Dog for a “parking violation” at 1:30 stating “not paid” with a $40 fee if paid in 14 days or $60 if paid after 14 days. I emailed Bird Dog this morning with a screenshot of my credit card payment to them and received a reply stating my dispute was accepted. If I hadn’t filed a complaint with them, taking an extra amount of time and effort this issue would still be pending with me thinking I would be liable for $40 or $60 for a bogus “parking violation”. In talking with my coworkers today I found out a few of them had also been scammed the same way, one ignored it, one disputed it and another paid it.

I parked in the town and country parking lot one evening and scanned the QR code to pay for parking and it wouldn’t work, it would take you to the portion of the page to enter your credit card info and would not let you submit the payment. I tried several times that evening to pay before I left my car and went to the business I was having dinner at that evening. When I returned to my car I had a citation to which I picked up and tried to find a phone number to call someone and speak with them about the matter. There were two other people I had dinner that evening with to which the same thing happened to them as well. So I finally searched the internet found the company and found an email so I sent and email about what happened and was rudely informed that they did not care I owed the citation. Prior to that email I disputed the ticket thru the site to pay it and explained the situation and same thing this all prior to the rude email i received. It took a long time to hear from anyone thru email. What I want from this is for this citation to be taken care of and let go because myself and two other people had the same problem that night. I think this company is just cheating people out of money so they can line their pockets with it! If need be I will obtain a lawyer to take care of this because from looking on this site and google reviews it seems to be an ongoing problem!

      Greetings,

We appreciate your point of view, and we are sorry you feel it is unfair. The lot in question is for people who have a validation code and is not open to everyone. Since you did not have a validation code, you were given the parking citation fairly.

      Best regards.

04/26/2023 parking violation resulted in a $45 ticket price. On their website, it states that there is a "non-paid within 21 days" fee and the company did not send me a notice until after this 21 day window. The company has no phone number to reach out and dispute. They do not explain anything and there is no customer service avenue for this to be resolved or for me to get an explanation of what I am being charged.

I parked in the Town and Country lot while I bought one cup of coffee at BeCaffeinated on 3/22/23. I parked there out of necessity. There was no signage as to it being a paid lot where I parked, and no visible kiosk to pay for it regardless. I have parked here for years before Bird Dog acquired it and never once had an issue. Bird Dog sent me to collections and wants me to pay $60 for my short visit to enjoy a cup of coffee, which simply will not happen. The correspondence admitted it no attorney has evaluated the claim, circumstances of parking notice or balance due, or made any recommendations as to the validity of the Creditor’s claim. That tells me these are fear tactics and there is legally nothing they can do. I’m reaching out to inform you this company consists of greedy, predatory price gougers that prey on local consumers. I’m also wondering what exactly they are able to do to me should I not pay their unreasonable, inflated fee of $60 to park my car for an hour. I just want to make sure this won’t appear on a background check and that they have no legal standing, as they admitted no legal team was involved in the process. I have no intention of paying the fee and am reaching out to you for help. At this rate, Bird Dog will drive local consumers out of the area to establishments that don’t charge a day’s work for an hour at the coffee shop. This is detrimental for local business and tourism. I ask that you stand with me and many other disgruntled citizens in helping me out of an outrageous situation, and potentially ending Bird Dog’s reign of tyranny.

I got a parking violation in the mail for $45 in Huntsville, AL when a family member borrowed my car and dropped some family off and got pizza. She said parking was validated at pizza place even though she parked in a lot that I myself have been parking at for free for 10 years. I tried to dispute ticket, but it was denied and there is no other ways for comment or more recourse. Seems crazy that we went from a friendly AL town to more predatory where parking that used to be free will take up a whole day's wages if someone doesn't get there validations processed correctly. Very sad.

I am rejecting this response because it was a **** **** and ******* thing. It says parking was free with that and specifically said through Bird Dog Parking. If she did do the parking code incorrectly for my tag number, it still shouldn't be $45. After looking online, it's actually specifically posted that it should be free for those, but if some incorrectly, then you risk getting a $25 ticket if paid within 14 days. Definitely not $45. But she did the code and it should be free. Please adjust.

      Thanks!

I parked in a lot located on the corner of Kent St and Manufacturer's road. I scanned the QR code on the small printed sign and typed in my tag number as requested and selected parking. It stated I needed a validation code from a business. It did not state which business to get the validation code from so I assumed I would get one from the business that I went to across the street. I took a screen shot just to be safe in the event I received a ticket. There was a time stamp on the screen shot because it seemed odd that there was no where for me to pay online (like most parking lots require). There was also no kiosk to go and type in payment information. I received a ticket also with a time stamp that was less than 15 minutes after my initial parking time. I then filled a dispute for the $40 outrageous parking ticket price I received to only get an email stating it wasn't accepted. This is absolutely ridiculous a $40 parking ticket for parking for less than 15 minutes to which the sign doesn't state what businesses will give validation codes. I called three different adjacent businesses in which they said oh we don't know anything about validation codes. People call us all the time complaining about that lot. Bad signage and no location to pay for parking. The ticket needs to be expunged due to being a parking scam.

I am rejecting this response because Bird Dog hasn't address any of my concerns such as not correctly labeled signage and lack of care or concern to address the issue. They are only trying to dismiss the issue instead of taking some responsibility. I have called adjacent business properties and all have said they don't have a validation code for that lot and due to it being a Sunday there would be no way to get a validation code for that lot. The only business that said they can provide validation codes was Monica's Bridal that is in fact closed on Sundays. Therefore, the sign should say parking not available on Sundays or you will be ticketed. Which indeed is proof that the parking situation is a scam and is setup to ticket people an irrational amount of money. Typically parking tickets in the surrounding areas are no more than $15, which I would be fine with paying.

I am rejecting this response because I am uploading a picture of the sign I parked in front of. It does not state what business to get a code from and it does not state no parking in this lot on a Sunday. If you text the number it states this lot is for Town and Country patrons again it does not state a business name, but states a building complex. I was ticketed for less than 15 minutes of being in that lot according to the time stamp on the ticket and when I took a picture of the online record. I do not understand why this cannot be expunged.

My husband and I spent the night at The Read House in Chattanooga, TN on November 17, 2022. We returned the car to valet in perfect condition that night. When we received the car back on the morning of the 18th, there was a huge dent on the back passenger side door. When my husband approached valet, they said the valet driver the night of the 17th admitted to hitting something, they would fill out a claim, and they were taking responsibility. Initially, they were very nice and responsive. In the rush and chaos to get loaded up and checked out, we failed to take a photo of the claims report. Vincent was the Bird Dog manager we dealt with via phone. Due to holidays and welcoming a baby and delayed parts (the truck needed an entire new door), we just got the truck fixed in February and have been dealing with nightmare of Bird Dog ever since. Bird Dog went completely silent after we left the property, not answering calls or emails from us or our insurance company. This is extremely frustrating as they were so kind on-site. We have learned they are no longer working with Read House, which is no surprise now after reading multiple bad reviews. I have never filed a complaint with the BBB before, but this is so frustrating and upsetting and the company is impossible to get in touch with, so this is my last resort. We only want what is due to us; this was 100% their fault - which they admitted.

I received a letter in the mail advising me that I had a parking citation. I never received a citation on my car window. The citation was issued on a Sunday in Chattanooga. I tried to contact the company twice through their contact us email system and have received no response. I thoroughly looked for signage indicating no parking or payment for parking. There is none. I requested that BirdDog forward the signage indicating that there was no parking and where it was in location to where my car was parked and have received no response. Terrible business practice.
