I purchased a cocker spaniel puppy from Pine Trace on 2/5/24. She was said to be in good health, dewormed and ready for a new hope. I paid **** for her. Within less than 12 hours of being home she became ill and is severely infested with parasites and could not have just been previously treated for them as documented. Even if she was treated, they did not retest for them to show as gone/improving or even inform me she had hookworms which is contagious for humans and I have small children! I reached out to the breeder, they did not show much concern for her just saying it was odd and that they would test other puppies. I requested to return the puppy, no response for days. She is now even sicker and I requested a refund and still cannot get a response.

other pups in this litter have been fine

we attempted to submit a timeline showing why we doubt this claim which did not post, will try again after this is submitted

in any event, warranty as posted on our website for inspection at any time and signed at pick up specifically excludes parasites as they are almost inevitable with puppies and easily treated

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

The way that Pine Trace handled this matter was incredibly unprofessional. The puppy is healthy now that we have treated her but with the levels of parasites she had there was no way she had just been treated or treated at all recently. Pine Trace refused to give me any vet information. This case can be closed as I don’t feel I will ever get a decent response but the standards to which the breeder claims to have for their dogs is not accurate.

    Sincerely,

    Kendall *****

Other dogs from this litter were fine, not likely that only one would have problems

We are quite proactive with our worming protocol

Timeline does not support her complaint

She had the dog five days before telling us it had problems within 12 hours

At least one complaint was filed BEFORE she provided us with vet statement, indicating [not proving that a reasonable settlement was truly desired

As previously stated, warranty specifically excludes parasites as ubiquitous and easily treated --  in any event, they seldom leave here with any.

I WENT TO "PINE TRACE GOLD" TODAY APRIL 5TH , 2023 , TO PAY FOR AND PICKUP A 7 YEAR OLD ADULT DOBERMAN PINSCHER , THAT THE OWNER HAD PRICED TO ME FOR $200.00. UPON ARRIVING AT "PINE TRACE GOLD" THE OWNER ASSISTED ME IN PLACING THE RED/RUST 7 YEAR OLD MALE DOBERMAN , IN THE KENNEL IN THE BACK OF MY FULL SIZED VAN. I PAYED HIM THE $200.00 AS HE REQUESTED IN CASH , AND POLITELY I ASKED HIM FOR A RECEIPT , AND HE WENT INTO HIS HOUSE. A COUPLE OF MOMENTS LATER A LADY THERE I SUPPOSE WHO WAS HIS WIFE SAID HE HAD CHANGED HIS MIND AND DID NOT WANT TO SELL THE DOBERMAN.. HE COMES OUT OF THE HOUSE AND HANDS ME BACK MY $200.00 AND GIVES ME AN EXTRA $20.00 FOR MY GAS EXPENSES SO HE SAYS. I ACTUALLY USED ABOUT 56.33 FOR GAS ROUND TRIP. I HAD TO DRIVE A TOTAL OF 352.4 MILES ROUND TRIP TO PAY FOR AND PICKUP THIS DOBERMAN , AND I ENDED UP DRIVING BACK HOME WITH NO DOBERMAN AT ALL! SOMETHING VERY SUSPICIOUS WITH "PINE TRACE GOLD" INDEED! I SENT "PINE TRACE GOLD" EMAILS TONIGHT TRYING TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE , BUT SO FAR HAVE RECEIVED NO RESPONSE? this fellow came for our pet dog to use as stud dog. while he would make
a fine stud he is a living breathing sentient being!!!!!!! he did NOT
want to interact NOR show any interest in the dog. ANIMALS are NOT just
merchandise!!!!!!!!!   he wanted us to toss dog in his car - hand over
some money and leave.. THIS IS NOT the way an animal should be treated.
the dog was frightened and did not like him.  he got keep his money AND
we gave him some for his gas which we did not have to do.  he has
emailed all evening all night all morning in capital letters ( usually considered yelling in internet protocol ) before filing with BBB.  he is
HARASSING US. we WILL NOT let him have our dog - WE WILL NOT deliver
him as he demands!  he wants to mud slung about Christianity !!!!!!  yet
he shows NO interest in the dogs welfare. short answer is NO WAY IN
BLOODY BLUE BLAZES IS HE GETTING A DOG FROM US.Tell us why here... further refund???  he left with his money intact and additional for gas for his MINI van NOT FULL size but that is irrelevant.

    ********** ********

I am rejecting this response because:  I am now billing "Pine Trace Gold" for causing me to travel in Interstate Commerce On April 5TH , 2023 , to pick up one 7 year old red/rust male doberman pinscher. "Pine Trace Gold" has openly admitted in prior response on this Better Business Bureau Website that they gave me $20.00 for my gas. Well I traveled a total of 352.4 miles round trip. See ATTATCHED RECEIPT  where i purchased from Pilot Gas Station $65.00 in gasoline. They paid me $20.00 for gasoline , which still leaves $45.00 OWED TO ME BY "PINE TRACE GOLD". Thus I AM BILLING "PINE TRACE GOLD" FOR MY TIME AT $25.00 per HOUR HERE. My total travel time was 5 hours and 36 minutes. $25.00 x 5 1/2 hours EQUALS $137.50. Therefore TOTAL i AM NOW DEMANDING TO BE PAID BY "PINE TRACE GOLD" IS $182.50. This can be paid via Paypal , Money Order , Or Personal Check.  My Paypal Address is:  [email protected]   Also being that i am a licensed Kentucky Business , Kentucky Dept Of Revenue , allows me to claim .62 cents a mile per my business miles , and the trip to "PINE TRACE GOLD"  Roundtrip  352.4 MILES WAS ALSO MADE IN "INTERSTATE COMMERCE". 'PINE TRACE GOLD DANIEL OR LUCILE CAN MAKE CHECK PAYMENT PAYABLE TO: ERICH ****** DOBERMANS. If I do not receive payment by May 5th ,2023 , I will be turning this debt over to a Collection Agency.  I also will be reposting my google review on "PINE TRACE GOLD"S" GOOGLE PAGE , AS WELL AS CONTACTING THE TENNESSE DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE , INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE AND UNITED STATES ATTORNEY'S OFFICE ,  NAMING "PINE TRACE GOLD" AS A POSSIBLE BUSINESS OF INTEREST TO INVESTIGATE.

I found it quite ridiculous that  "PINE TRACE GOLD" WOULD HAVE SECURITY CAMERA"S THAT DO NOT COVER (SHOW) THEIR ENTIRE PROPERTY , ESPECIALLY NOT SHOWING THEIR DRIVEWAY  , WHERE VISITORS WOULD BE SEEN WHEN ARRIVING ON THEIR PROPERTY.??? AS THIS IS THE PURPOSE OF HAVING SECURITY CAMERAS. The red Male Doberman interacted with me and tried to get in my 2000 Toyota Seinna Van just as soon as I opened my drivers side door. I KNOW THIS , DANIEL AND LUCILE KNOWS THIS AND GOD KNOWS THIS.  As a Christian I have forgiven both Daniel and Lucile , but feel and know I have AN ABSOLUTE RIGHT TO BE REIMBURSED FOR MY TRAVEL EXPENSES.

    Sincerely,

    Erich ******

Mr. ****** has no legal claim to any compensation from us. We did not agree to or sign any contracts making us legally liable for his actions. Mr. ****** continues to threaten “bad reviews” which we will continue to respond to with the honest truth in full integrity. We will not send him a cent and he will never have access to any of our dogs or anymore of our time. If he chooses to have us investigated he’ll need a reason other than “I didn’t get my my way”. We explained in our prior email exactly what happened and will no longer explain further. Again, I hope anyone reading this thinks twice about doing any business with Erich ****** as he obviously goes to great lengths when he doesn’t get his way. If we hear of the issue again we'll be sending him a cease and desist letter for further continued harassment.
