  The business advertise it on IRS with rate of 1.75% for credit card. However, it actually charged me 2.89% for service fee.

  I attempted to pay my taxes using a credit card through Pay1040.com. My credit card declined the IRS tax transaction, but the service fee to Pay1040 still went through. They never reversed the fee for a service that was not provided. I have made multiple calls and emails to them without a resolution. Their responses have ranged from asking me to provide more information via email to calls that drop, and when I call back, they say they are closed. It's unconscionable that the IRS uses this company that is taking people's money without providing a service and there is little the consumer can do to fight it. I filed a dispute with my credit card. However, Pay1040.com justified the charge with a generic response that I received the goods.

  After filling my taxes with TurboTax and paying the taxes owed before the tax deadline, I come home to a letter from the IRS telling me I owe them the money I have paid plus a penalty. TurboTax gave me a phone number to call and no one has answered to help me clarify my payment with the IRS. I have tried both the English and Spanish lines and no luck after hours of waiting. Completely unacceptable for a company to operate in this matter.

  Does not answer email or repeated phone calls. Impossible to remedy any payment situation. Email link on website gets bounced back. It is absolutely unacceptable for the Illinois Dept of Revenue to partner with a totally corrupt organizations ripping off taxpayers.

  I tried to use these scam artists for my 2021 taxes. They stole almost $900 from me and the IRS just sent me a notification saying that I never paid and I owe them too. This is not a business. These are thieves masquerading as a business.

  made a pay in oct 2023 thru this company and the IRS STILL HAS NOT RECEIVED MY PAYMENT . can not reach anyone from 1040 . i have twice and each time it was a different problem. these people are no nasty and distasteful. i do not know how to get my money back.

  I filed my taxes using *** ***** who then routes you to Pay1040 to make your federal tax payments. On 03/27/2023 I made a payment, received a confirmation with a reference number from Pay1040. In June 2023, I received a letter from the IRS stating they had not received my payment. I have sent letters to IRS with this information, to date it has not been resolved. I have tried reaching out to Pay1040 with no response. This is customer theft and I will be pursuing this further if action is not taken and Pay1040 does not process my payment!! This is absolutely terrible that you take advantage of people!!

  Sent payment for tax bill through them and IRS hasn't received it, June 2023. I am now assessed a penalty and late fees. I also cannot get anyone on the phone with this company.

  Sent payment through Link2gov for my 1040 tax bill in April 2023. The IRS did not receive it as of June 2023 and now they want to assign penalty fees and interest. I have called and waited for HOURS for someone to pick up. There is just no way to get ahold of customer service and in the meantime they have my money that should be in the IRS's hands after two months!!! Horrible company and non-existent customer service. I don't understand how the IRS can be linked to these people!

  $31.17 service fee for an online transaction is criminal. This service should be investigated. Bogus!
