I started my warranty claim on 11/13/21. On 6/20/22 they came out to do the work. There were no initial measurements taken before they dug a trench in my yard. On 7/15/22, they finished the job by laying the sod. The sod was done extremely poorly, and was placed over existing grass. on 8/11/22 I filed another warranty claim on the work that was done because the trench they dug was collecting and holding water. I have had 3 contractors come out and they all said the job they did was terrible, and it did not fix the problem, and that the problem was outside of my fence going towards the front of my house. At this time, Signature tried to get out of doing any additional work by saying I had a fence and irrigations system put in after closing. Both of these were installed at the time they agreed to do the work, and it was never brought up. The warranty manager came out to my yard to see if they would agree to do any work. After having to followup multiple times, he said "Signature Homes has acted in good faith to make the requested repairs and the landscaping is now the responsibility of the homeowner." At this point I called the *** and he had his *** come out to look. He finally had the lawn measured, and they identified what all the contractors had told me, that there was an issue outside of the fence. I asked for to him fix that and my backyard, since the work was not needed in my backyard and just cause the problem to be worse. He said he would not fix the backyard. In follow-up emails, the *** tried to get out of doing additional work again by saying I started my warranty claim after the 1 year. This is 100% false, and I was able to provide my original request, as well as texts with warranty officers. After showing him this, he said he is aware of the timeline, but that's it. At the end of the day, if they had taken measurements initially, they would have identified that the problem in the backyard was from the side yard. They did not, and now my yard is worseBusiness response

We received the homeowner claim concerning a drainage issue in his yard. A representative from Signature Homes met with the homeowner on Friday, November 4 to discuss this issue. A detailed solution was proposed by Signature Homes, and this proposed solution was accepted by the homeowner. This work is scheduled to begin today, November 9, and should complete within a few days.Initial Complaint

During the evening of 10/25/2021, a large mirror in the master batch separated from the wall and shattered all over the bathroom floor. The mirror was approximately 65" w x 46" h and was only being held on with an insufficient amount of ******, and no supporting mechanical hardware as is recommended by the manufacturer. This is the 3rd mirror that I am aware of in our neighborhood that this has happened to over the past** years. Had there been an individual under one of these mirrors, the results could have been tragic. Signature is refusing to take responsibility stating that we are no longer under warranty (House was purchased in July,*****). This is obviously a latent defect since I, as the buyer, had no way of knowing what was behind the mirror and how the mirror was supported without removing the mirror from the wall. Damage also occurred to the countertop, bath tub and floor tile. Every home in the neighborhood should have these large, framed mirrors inspected to ensure this does not happen again in the future and to give homeowners the piece of mind that they and their children can stand in front of the mirrors without fear of them collapsing on top of them.Business response
