    Windows installed poorly causing water to come in and also not sealed properly. Damage to the inside of my house and also to the outside siding. Contractor walked off the job and did not make it right.

    Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/08/01) */ We are sorry for any misunderstanding. We got this job in a real estate transaction. The previous owner bought 9 of the new windows and the bought the remaining 9 to make them all new. There had been hard been strong storms in her area during this time and they were without power for several days so out of kindness my husband took them $65 worth of Buddy's Bar B Que. We still have an outstanding balance of $1985 with a contract to prove that we still do not understand which parry is responsible for. We take great pride in our work and would never walk off a job without trying to make the homeowner happy. Yes part of the windows were paid in the real estate transaction and part by me. That does not change the fact they were all installed with no caulk around the outside trim. There are nails in the trim on the outside that should not be nailed. I have damage to every interior wall surrounding each window. I have garage windows not secured properly. The brining of the food was because the two day job took over three weeks to complete and did not have anything to do with the two days we lost power. This response is completely unacceptable. All the windows in the house would need to be taken out and reset as they are also not level from top to bottom and also left to right. I have had two companies come out and give me details of what was wrong and also what it will take to repair. One company will not even repair as they feel the windows could be damaged when trying to remove them I want a full refund of all money paid. The balance they continue to claim unpaid was taken care of by the previous home owners and have nothing to do with me the current owner. I would like reimbursed for the money it will cost to have someone fix all of the damaged walls inside my house as well. I have several pics and video to show how poorly the job was completed. Lastly did walk off the job and left the final window completely unfinished as he was angry he felt I should pay him what the previous home owners didn't. He was down right rude when he threatened to put a lean on my home when I wasn't the one who made the initial deal for the first 9 windows as his wife Leigh Ann stated. I also was never given a business license, a copy of business insurance or bond. I don't feel this company should be in operation. I also want to avoid anyone else having to deal with this as my home is now needing several thousand dollars worth of repair and 18 windows that need redone. We are a small family owned and ran company that has been in business for 25+ years and have never ran into this situation before. She seemed to be fine until the topic of money came up. She brought ***** her check for $1400.00 and ***** asked if there was anything else she wanted looked at and she just said she wished she had never done anything and closed the door. ***** does not feel comfortable going back to her house and there is no way we can refund any money as there is still an outstanding balance and we have already lost money on this job and we would have been better off to have not paid for the windows and done the job either.
