    I called Parkside's service department on May 15th, 2024 to schedule an appointment to repair a RECALL of a factory defect in the engine compartment, NHTSA Recall Number 23V652. The recall stated the defect may result in injury and the remedy was available for my vehicle. On May 29th I brought our 2011 KIA Sorento into the dealership as scheduled to perform the repair. After waiting approximately one-hour I noticed my KIA sitting at the end of the entry doors and asked the Service Manager if it was ready. He was very short with me and informed me they inspected the Factory Defective Part and determined it needed replacement and he must order the part because they didn’t have the replacement part on hand. He gave me an invoice, said they had my phone number, said the key was in it, and they would call me when the part comes in. At the time I thought this was unsatisfactory since the Factory had sent me a letter informing me the defective part was available and I certainly thought the Factory would have notified their dealers and provided them with the part or have it readily available to dealerships when requested since the recall stated it could result in “INJURY”. When I returned home, I carefully read the invoice and there were a couple statements on the invoice that were not true. 1. No one every asked me if I wanted a Multi-Point-Inspection. The invoice sates that I decline, not true 2. No one ever asked me if I wanted an Automatic Car Wash. The invoice states I declines, not true. I waited patiently for 5-weeks for a phone call from your service department to schedule my repair. As of today, June 21, I have not received any call from the service department informing me they have the part necessary to repair the defect. I’m very disappointed in the service department for the way I was treated and certainly would never recommend Parkside's service department to anyone.
