Terrible customer service, never call back when I needed help as a new customer. They had put in an order for a new fifth wheel direct from the factory several months ago. I called continually trying to get updates and no one could help with that. My husband, kids and I were going to full time in the rv and move up from Texas. I had been telling camping world that I needed to have it delivered since I didn’t have a truck to pull it, and that I needed it on the 14th of June this year. We had been staying in an airbnb and we had to be out of the morning of the 14th. When a transporter for camping world reached out to me he said camping world never even gave him paperwork for him to deliver it. I fought with camping world all day trying to get it delivered since I was about to be homeless without it. They finally got it delivered after complaining enough, only to hear one of the front desk girls say I was not their only customer that they tended to. Are you kidding?? So five days into having this brand new rv the skylight started leaking after a rain. I have called that dealership multiple times trying to get a mobile tech to come out, but of course no one has called back and I’m left here with my kids hoping there isn’t water running into the ceiling somewhere else causing more damage that they would have to take into the dealership to fix and we stay in a hotel because of it. This is one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a business, I should have just bought from blue compass, I would have except for they didn’t have the fifth wheel model I needed. I feel like they took my money and have not cared about anything other than making money off of me and then vanishing when I needed help with other things that came up. I would never recommend camping world to anyone that is looking for an rv.

I purchased a 2023 Forrest River Wildcat from Camping World Knoxville. I picked up the unit Saturday 10/21/2023. On Sunday afternoon I was going to load the camper and noticed some damage to the trim around the slide. Upon further inspection I found substantial water damage in the area. I immediately called the sales manager and emailed pictures. Monday the 23rd I was instructed to bring the unit back. I pulled the camper back to the dealership on Tuesday. The camper was in my possession for two days and there had been no rain. I inquired a couple of days later on the progress of the camper and was told it had to have warranty approval which blew my mind I mean how could there be a question of warranty repair on a brand new camper. 11/3/2023 I called again and was told they had requested warranty approval on 10/30/23 which is a week after it was dropped back off. I had to cancel one camping trip and am afraid I am going to have to cancel another. I wish I would have looked at BBB site before even considering Camping World. Rest assured I will never buy anything from them again nor recommend anyone else deal with them. They get one star because I can't give a lower score.

Well what’s on my mind. Please get the word out about Camping World in Alcoa TN. Please share. I need help if anyone can help me. I took my camper to Camping World (Louisville, TN) which is where I bought it a year ago to have some repairs done. Three weeks later they still have it and I haven’t heard from them as of yet. I called and left a message for Austin, I think the girls name is Brandy and also for the Service Manager Patrick last week and I still haven’t gotten a call from anyone as of yet. After two weeks of being there it still didn’t have anything done to it. The sad part I have a warranty through Good Sams. We had a camping trip planned for Labor Day that we had to cancel cause nothing was done. It went in for A/C freezing up and they told me that the filter was dirty and I told them that’s a lie cause we had cleaned it and it was still freezing up on high. The rubber pieces won’t stay on the toy hauler garage door, the curtain close-sure that zips close when you open the garage door the zipper is broken and then I requested for the wheels to be repacked and the roof to be sealed and cleaned. Nothing. I’m very disappointed. I will never buy another camper from Camping World and to think I use to work there too. We have vacation scheduled for September 30th through October 7th. I just wonder if they will have it ready by then??

We purchased a 2022 Thor Four Winds Class C Motorhome from Camping World of Knoxville 06/2022. The only reason that I gave them a “1” is that I couldn’t give them a lower score. Without a doubt, the worst big purchase that I have ever made and I am 69 years old. First and foremost is the poor quality of the coach. Getting anything fixed under the warranty is anything but seamless. Camping World wants to shift the blame on the delays to Thor when in reality, the delays are caused by Camping World not sending Thor the info in a timely manner. There is never a callback from the Service Department keeping the customer in the loop and giving updates. I have had to contact them for updates. The problem with this is that they never are available. You leave your name and number, but I have never received a callback on at least 3 occasions . More than coincident that when I finally reach someone, they had just submitted the pictures along with other documentation to Thor. I would strongly advise anyone to buy from a company that sells a quality product, appreciates your business and has a Service Department that gives good customer service

I will list the main concerns here as there were many. The poor quality of construction - roof, windows and sink were never sealed! While in the sales process, the staff was very nice, seemed to be giving me a lot of information. I asked my salesman exactly what I would need if I were to drive off the lot and go on a road trip, he said-just get the hoses. $750 later. I asked sever times, had I been properly prepared, I would not be upset about this.
Additionally, the finance department added $4,500/month to my income to get me financed. THEY falsified my documentation and the way they had me sign my document was shady. I keep copies of everything, especially credit apps that I submit and I have a screenshot of the originals, please ask me for it!
The several things that have been coming up on the camper as either broken, missing, or never done in the factory, the warranty company has been taking care of and the service department has made up for it, that is why they even get 1 star. I can say they have been the most helpful in setting things right but I after discussing the financial paperwork with the sales manager who told me he would review it, he never called me back and I am assuming (as I have learned from other people) this is a common practice to falsify the finance documents. After talking to several people, CampingWorld as a whole has many tactics to railroad someone, including 6 different people (other than my salesman) contacting me to get the sale done, Fatiguing a person so they won't notice certain things, like I will just comment on the fact that the paperwork says they gave me $15k for my trade in while they only gave me $2400. Certainly these numbers were scrambled to "look good for the bank". I have a fantastic credit score, do not need inflated numbers and do not appreciate this practice, especially because with my credit score, people do not verify my income. I would have gladly taken a denial.

We purchased our brand-new RV about 3 months ago and this thing has been falling apart one thing at a time. It started with a hairline crack in the basin of the shower pan and escalated to the baseboard under the slide breaking off when the slide closed (the screws were rusty and sheered completely off). There is a continued litany of issues with this defective product; we have a significant amount of travel that we have arranged and can't afford not to have the use of our RV; which the earliest time to have it serviced is a month from now (and who knows how long it'll take before we could even get it back). I also just received a VIN report stating that this RV has been in an accident and yet that wasn't disclosed. How is this brand new if it's been in an accident?

Upon receipt of this complaint, we attempted to contact Mr. Darbee at the 2 numbers he provided during our transaction in June of 2022. One of the numbers is for a hotel and the other number goes directly to voicemail. We have left multiple messages prior to the complaint, and most recently our General Manager attempted to make contact but was unable to reach Mr. Darbee again but provided his personal cell phone number as the call back.

Mr. Darbee is located several hundred miles from us, but originally purchased the unit from the Knoxville Camping World location. We have not had an opportunity to provide repair options for him due to being in Georgia. He has stated in a previous email to us that he has attempted to contact other locations in his area other than Camping World and no one has immediate availability to work on his unit now. If he were local we would be more than happy to prioritize his unit and work with the manufacturer to help expedite and facilitate his repairs. We are more than happy to stand behind the product and repair the items stated as needing to be repaired. Without the unit being near us or at our location there is nothing further we can do. We cannot control the volume of service business at his local facility or any of the third party locations around him.

Where to start. Bought a camper and there were several small things that needed repaired before we could pick it up. Two weeks later we go to pick up the camper and nothing has been fixed. All of our paperwork had been misplaced and we had to start over. We were there for hours.

Fast forward a year and we have not really used the camper so we sold it. Tried to cancel our gap insurance and extended warranty and no one would return our phone call. We called so many times with no return call that went to speak to people in person and no one available, or we were given the run around. Come to find out after contacting the warranty company myself they have inquired from the company about the amount of the warranty refund twice and for two months have held our paperwork signed and completed to submit, and have not submitted our paper work. Im guessing that they do not want to issue the refund check. They also were supposed to send us the check from the gap insurance and sent it to the bank despite being given the payoff letter and my husband signing the forms necessary for the check to be send directly to us. Their only response is that these things take time. I've never known it take two months to submit paperwork.

They are by far the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. The customer service is anything but customer service.
