** ***** we are very sorry that your vehicle has had some mechanical issues (oil pan and compressor for A/C) since your purchase early this year. That stated, every vehicle we sell is used. We do your very best to recondition vehicles - but we can't fix what is not broken...nor can we somehow see into the future and anticipate a mechanical failure. What we CAN do and DID do in this case...is discussed with you the all-important option of securing an extended warranty. Thank goodness you made that excellent decision!! Its that decision that covers anyone who buys a used vehicle and is susceptible to whatever may come down the road. Its inconvenient to get your vehicle repaired - we agree and we're sorry you have to go through that. However, you have coverage and are getting your vehicle repaired without the huge expense of paying out of pocket. I hope you can appreciate the value in that. Please don't hesitate to contact us if we can be of further assistance.Review fromHabib A

1 starDishonest and False Advertising! Went here last month to purchase a car and co-financed for my wife...they had a car that we were on the search for and needed to get one for her asap. Unfortunately, it was a rainy day but it didn't stop us from coming in for our appointment. Anyways, when it came time to talk numbers, one of the finance guys, a big guy wearing a baseball hat backwards and flip flops on a rainy day with a bag of skittles in his hand, popping them into his mouth one by one while talking financing numbers with us, rude and unprofessional behavior, tried to scam us by selling the car (2022 ****** Avalon hybrid) over 2k more than what they had originally advertised for at 24,887...tried to get 27k out of us. We told him to sell at the original price and he refused, and so we decided to just walk out...that' s when our sales rep, Robert, got one of the mangers and he called us back in and we made it work. Graham C****** (finance manager) and Robert were great and professional with us, but Skittles guy, I believe his name is Zach, was dishonorable and the main scammer...his reasoning was that my wife is new with no credit built up yet so that's why he tried to overcharge (scam) us way over their advertised price even though the vehicle was not worth 27k at all! I have a 730-760 credit score and was the main financer of the vehicle so he was just trying to see if he could scam us and get more money. And another thing, I asked them to glue down the floor carpet liner as it was peeling off a little bit on the corners, or they could have at least clipped them back into place. They agreed and wrote that down on the paperwork, but guess what? They didn't even do that. They also didn't clean the exterior or interior of the car. Would NOT recommend this dealership! These guys will try to scam you, so just be careful if you decide to purchase a vehicle from them.Review fromisaiah m

1 starA MUST READ This is my PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. 0 stars if I could My car salesman was BROCK…..He seemed to be a good salesman till I realized I was still sitting at the table for hours before he even asked me what car was I interested in. He was more into taking my information and paycheck stubs. He does alot of small talk, ALOT. After sitting at his table for 2 hours I asked what’s taken so long, he said the manager was getting numbers. I asked why would they run anything before I even test drove but he gave me several EXCUSES . I eventually went out on the lot by myself to look at vehicles. An hour later I test drove a *** Yukon that I wanted. We get back to the lot FRANK comes and give me the numbers but I said no because it was too high. After that we(BROCK,FRANK AND MYSELF) went back on the lot and they BOTH kept trying to put me in something I DID NOT WANT. After saying no enough times I decided to get my things and leave. That’s when FRANK went into some office and came back with an amount that was more affordable. I thought this was an okay deal till I got home and looked over my contract MUSIC CITY AUTOPLEX charged me a different price from what was advertised for the truck MY LENDER REQUESTED $2000.00 down BUT MUSIC CITY AUTOPLEX TOLD ME $3000.00) MUSIC CITY AUTOPLEX charged sales tax and wasn’t supposed cause I came from out of state to purchase vehicle. I told BROCK that they shouldn’t have and clearly they did. I received a check for the refund a month later). Monday -spoke with BROCK but he seemed not to understand and then the finance manger CODY got on the phone. I explained to him about the issues and he had SEVERAL EXCUSES as to why the price was different. After all the EXCUSES and asking for PROOF, he didn’t send ANYTHING. Tuesday I called back and CODY was still giving the same ** REASONS WITHOUT PROOF. Wednesday I spoke with TED. He KEPT TRYING TO JUSTIFY WHY THEY CHARGED ME BUT COULDN’T SHOW ANY PROOF.Review fromAaron B

People need to be aware that the price advertised is only good if you use their financing. If you pay cash the price we were quoted was 10% higher. The trade in offered was $3000 below what ****** and ****** offered using the vehicles vin.Music City Autoplex, LLC

*** ******, I'm sorry that we couldn't earn your business. Its a competitive market and we have many prospective buyers vying for our inventory. Therefore we establish prices and terms that are fair, but that also yield the results we need as a business. The negotiated terms weren't agreeable to you and that is your prerogative to walk away. Everything was disclosed to you and you were fully "aware" of what was needed to secure a deal... We'd love for every negotiation to result in a deal, but that is just not a reality. I'm sorry we couldn't earn your business, but perhaps we'll have an opportunity in the future.Review fromAndrew B

Terrible business!!! I’m definitely not much of a complain to the world type guy but geez. I should have looked these clowns up before driving 3.5 hours. I did all the credit check on Saturday but told them I needed a definite yes or no before we drove that far. I even told them we were rebuilding our credit after a business fail due to Covid. But I was assured we were good to go. But by the time they responded we could not come until Monday. So Monday comes and I call them before I drive 3 hrs for the truck to make sure we are still approved. I was again told yes just come here and we will get the deal done. But **** NO LYING ********!! Wasted my whole day and yes I think ***** and everyone else at this dealership is on drugs. I don’t mind being told no but what I do mind is being lied to just to try and get you to find something cheaper. Please keep driving and don’t waste your time MCA unless you are a shady drug dealer and need to feel at home !!!Music City Autoplex, LLC

*** ********, we sincerely apologize that we were not able to get you approved on the truck of your interest. We have exceptional relationships with many funding sources and our track record for getting even serious credit-challenged approvals done is excellent. We understand that things happen that can negatively affect your credit-worthiness...and we are here to help. We worked hard to get you a preliminary approval (remotely and without your being here.) While that is a noble effort, its not foolproof nor guaranteed. This is because funding sources produce additional questions and verifications at the point of sale while you were onsite...verifications and questions the dealership couldn't foresee or predict. If we are guilty, we are guilty of raising your hopes of a "guaranteed" approval rather than just resting on our excellent record of high-level successes in getting credit-challenged approvals. For that we apologize and have learned from this experience. If you were willing to reach out to the dealership via your original sales rep, we would like offer some compensation for the gas you expended in lieu of a change in this review rating. Thank you for the opportunity to communicate with you and better understand your concerns.Review fromCarla J

Illegal or just unethical? My son needed a vehicle and Music City Autoplex said they could work with his down payment...however after several hours of trying to get financing they said he needed a co-signer. I was very hesitant, but they assured me my name could come off the loan in 6 months...After hours of waiting, we signed many papers..my son on the left hand side as the owner..me on the right or under his name. Weeks later we start getting papers from the finance co. With my name on top..and find out they made me primary owner instead. All the copies of the contract have my name on the left and my sons on the right.. I have called Music City Autoplex and left messsges to just ask how this could happen ..but no response. I know as a co-signer I am responsible as much as the owner..but it has caused problems with insurance and the loan company since my son thought it was in his name. I say buyer ( and co-signer) beware..used car selling tactics at their finest on displayMusic City Autoplex, LLC

********, we're sorry you are upset over this issue. Lets see if we can clear something up to make you feel more comfortable. In the state of TN, there is NO distinction between co-signers on an auto loan. The bank sees both equally and both parties have equal obligation to satisfy the lien requirements - regardless of who actually pays. Whether your name was on top of bottom is irrelevant in terms of obligation and commitment. While it would appear that your credit strength as co-signer had a positive and necessary role in the approval of the loan, it doesn't in any way impede your son's fulfillment of the loan and ownership in any way. At some point in the future as your son's credit has more stand-alone strength, he may opt to refinance his loan under his name only. This kind of approach to building credit strength is done quite often and to the benefit of the buyer. I'm sorry you either had a misunderstanding of what your co-signing represented. These are not "tactics" these are professional, industry-excepted practices that help prospective buyers acquire a vehicle and build credit-workthiness for the future. We're here for you at MCA should you have any more questions.
