      Warning! Not Worth the Hassle or Cost If youre considering American Home Shield for home warranty coverage, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. When my washing machine broke down, AHS sent multiple technicians over multiple visits each time requiring me to pay service fees again and again. In the end, they told me they couldnt help because the technician did not recommend what to do even though the technician clearly said it wasnt something they could fix.The companies AHS contracts with, like American Home Appliances and Tru Fix, were unprofessional and seemed more focused on collecting trip fees than actually diagnosing or fixing the problem. These are not skilled repair providers; theyre just box-checkers cashing in on a flawed system.If youre looking for peace of mind and real protection, save your money and your time. Choose a company that works with reliable technicians and actually honors its service commitments

      I would give it couple more stars if it would be easier to cancel their service. Getting a technician out takes a very long time because their approved providers are swamped. And if something breaks on your house the tech will be there in couple of weeks to fix it. Had to hire someone on my own and pay out of pocket to get my water heater fixed. Used their service a few times for AC and garage door. Process is pretty straightforward, but takes weeks to get someone out.

      They denied my repair. But the worst is: they charged me $125 up front. They said they paid it to my plumber. I am certain this is not true. I want my $125 back!! (but they won't pay me)

      I purchased a home for my elderly parents in January of this year. The Ac was no longer cooling on Friday April 25th, so we requested service via online through American Home Shield on line site. Little did I know, companies that are approved to work with AHS "DO NOT WORK ON WEEKENDS." It is April 30th and my elderly parents are still without air-conditioning in *********. I have been in touch with both AHS and the ************* unfortunately it seems like no one is communication with each other. Is anyone worried about my elderly parents living in heat for 5 days. I will not ever purchase a warranty from this company again. They do not back their product.

      I had kept my AHS Warranty for 5 years and just cancelled by policy today. While I did not like the overall process, over time I made a number of claims and generally it worked out fine. What I discovered this time was 1.) They do not manage their contractors - at all. 2.) They do not scrutinize their contractors and if you have a bad one, you cannot get another. 3.) They are likely managed from a call center in the *********** or ***** (which they did not deny) so their customer ********************** is really non-existent. In the most recent case, the contractor lied about the assessment, did not update us or AHS on the assessment, and only ordered the part after AHS and they were pressured to do so. Also, I think AHS and the contractor are coordinating these responses to avoid payment. Customer ********************** is just paid to hear you complain to make you feel better claiming they are just following their procedures which tells me they are not operating in the ****

      We've had AHS for 5 years. Just this year has been awful with them. Our fridge (*******) has been repaired 4 times in the last 6 months for the same thing. They will not just replace our fridge. They only to get your money and keep sending repair people out that cannot fix the problem. We cancelled our contract, and we will just have to buy a new fridge. Sadly they would not honor a new fridge. We are definitely done with AHS

      I was very pleased with the quick response from American Home Shield and for sending ****** ******* of NC Plumbing Pros to fix a water leak upstairs. I have never seen such an experienced and thorough provider as Mr. ******** He never gave up and examined my whole house water system in fixing the leak. I give ******************************* ******* my best 5 star review for excellence.

      I am Done. They just keep getting worse. Not a single claim goes off without a problem. Front installing faucets without allowing us to select style to taking weeks on essential items like water heaters and boilers. Just the pits,

      They lied to me and said me and my friend would get a $100 gift card if I signed up. The person who signed me up said he would take care of everything. After mutiple calls and emails we still don't have the cards. The last person said that they don't take the request over the phone anymore and that the request should have been done via some link.
