Terrible customer service. Will not return phone calls after leaving multiple messages. Failure to explain a reduction in workmans compensation payments . Currently has an F rating by BBB.

Awful company to deal with . Everytime you turn in your medical paperwork they tell you everything is up to date then you don't get paid even thought I pay for short term and long term disability. Then they tell you that you need more paperwork filled out . Twice I was sent the wrong paperwork. Then my doctors office faxed paperwork saying I was unable to return to work. Then they stopped paying me. Now I feel they are just messing with my lively hood. I was told a examiner would call me back within 24 hours it's been longer then that still no phone call . It's bad enough being sick and having to deal with sedgwick makes it worse.

In my opinion, Sedgwick is a hack company that does what insurances want them to do and does not provide services that are even close to adequate and professional. They are beholding to insurance companies and are contracted by them to reduce benefits to the policyholders and make it difficult for individuals to obtain what they are due. Their detailed analysis of damages looks impressive until you read it closely and realize how bogus and misleading the analysis is.I would give them no stars. Get your own company to do the analysis. Do not accept theirs.

Today is 10/26/22. On 8/17/22, a big box store installed a washer machine incorrectly in our home and it flooded the second floor down to the first. Big Box took full responsibility and handed ** over to Sedgwick - their insurance provider. Sedgwick advised that I needed to hire the mitigation/restoration company, which I did, and I supplied Sedgwick with all of the information. Mitigation was completed by the end of August. Sedgwick has failed to pay the mitigation invoice and therefore restoration is not moving forward because of the outstanding bill. If my floors being torn up for over two months is not enough irritation, Sedgwick is not returning any of my calls or emails. In fact, several of the phone numbers they have referenced don't work. I have spent an inordinate number of hours trying to get some kind of response from literally anyone at Sedgwick with no luck. My efforts now will go to exploring filing a complaint with the BBB and the ************** Insurance Commission.

It should be illegal to run such an important service as terribly as these people do. They are hurting people. They are ruining lives. Its clear that they do not care. Their job is to try and make it so you get nothing. Period.

I was diagnosed with cancer in March 2022. I had to jump through several hoops to even get short term disability approved while I was hospitalized for an entire month. The second month after, my doctor wanted me to take it off to rest and adjust while going through 2 months straight of daily chemotherapy. They denied it. My doctor has filled out the same form over 3 times, and when I brought it up, the agent said "(my) insurance company is hard to deal with", yet I confirmed with my insurance company that paperwork is sent within 72 hours at most, but usually 24 hours. I ran out of hours on a claim and was not told anything until threatened with my job by my employer. They moved it over to a new type of claim, but the hours are not the same, nor are they telling me if absences are being denied. Which they shouldn't even be denying because I know for a fact that they're getting the appointment information (which I had to do a release of information over 4 times). I have yet to get ahold of a case manager, every time I try to she's "on another line". This is absolutely ridiculous and unethical, I would give 0 stars if I would.

Sedgwick is a third party claim administrator which simply means a third party between a business and client, aka middleman. They are compensated to help business using their service, and designed to protect business and reduce losses. They act like and often IMPLY they are the Insurance Carrier. See their responses to other complaints to confirm. It was suggested that clients are NOT required to work with them for settlement from Business based upon contact to Insurance Commissioner in my State. We had the extreme displeasure of having a loss with the ********** involving water damage due to a negligent installation evidenced by their own specialists under formal visit and evidence of damages. Sedgwick immediately took stance of Insurance Carrier trying to mitigate loss. They even falsely suggested they had no pics of loss and damage. They also demanded we work thru them or no resolve would be provided. Abusive and harassing is how we felt and now moving to possible Legal Resolve which will cost business more than to have worked directly with client.

My storage unit was broken into almost 5 months ago! Im still waiting on my payment. They do not return emails or calls. I have left several messages and emails. Im still waiting on a response from them. I often wonder if the whole business is a scam. I do not understand how hard it could be to simply do your job in a timely fashion. Im strongly considering a law suit against them. If you can avoid dealing with this company, I would but I couldnt.
