All sales talk, no service. A terrible experience. They were hired for a duplex. The first few applications seemed ok. Then they treated one side only. They stood me up for 3 make-up appts in a row, then didn't call when they were on their way, which was written on the order. Again, only treated 1 side. Fired them.Received another sales call Jan 2025. Promises, promises, promises, so I was going to give them another try. Took my cc info and said the charge was $574 for the season. I said absolutely not. I will pay per application. My cc was charged anyway. I called salesman and left message about charge. He called back and left a message that I clicked on "prepay", but they will correct it. My only contact was on the phone, so there was no way for me to "click" on anything. I called corporate to have the charge removed. Was told it takes 3-4 days for credits to be processed. What? Charges are processed as soon as they finish typing in your cc info. Meanwhile, the offending Wheat Ridge, CO branch hasn't even tried to contact me.TruGreen Response

I have been a customer of **********************/********************** since 1999. I have never filed a complaint until today. My lawn was to be serviced today. As I watched the tech, he never fertilized my front or back lawns. I saw him fertilizing my neighbor's front lawn when I went to pick up my mail. I asked him if he was going to fertilize my lawn. He replied yes. When I saw him return to his truck and pick up a lawn sign that he placed on my front lawn indicating that he had completed his job, and he was getting ready to leave, I went to the front door; got his attention and asked him about treating my lawn. He said he did treat the front and had no work order to do the back. He did not do the front lawn. He did do my neighbor's front lawn. He left no notice on my front door of the work he had performed as is the usual custom of TruGreen. I called both the local office in ******* and the national office and requested to speak to a manager or supervision. At 2:20pm est no manager or supervision was available. At this point, I just want the money I paid for a year worth of service returned...$1063.28. My service includes both the front and back lawns, along with the mosquito shield.TruGreen Response

Does not deserve a star. They have you sign a contract then charge you double for the job. They also do treatments without permission and expect you to pay for it. When you dispute the payment, they hound you and send you to a collection agency. Beware!TruGreen Response

TruGreen called and spoke with Mr. ****** on 12/30/24. We apologized about his billing concerns. We advised that our I T team identified an issue last week with payments from September either not being sent to the bank for transmission at all or in the amount of $0.00. TruGreen urged Mr. ****** to verify this with his bank/credit card that on 9/12/24 the payment he made online that the charge did not process as to why his bank/credit card was debited on 12/27/24. TruGreen attempted to address the allegation that we did not treat the entire lawn on previous visits. Mr. ****** stated that these incidents happened prior therefore no resolution regarding any service concerns is required. Mr. ****** called in and canceled his services on 12/28/24. TruGreen considers this matter as closed.Review from John W

I have very little nice to say about this company. Their service in my area has always been bad. The lawn has weeds. When notified they say that's what the next service covers but it does not. Their billing is ridiculous. I have been billed and billed. When I pay, there is always a problem. I was recently sent a letter that I was over 80 days late in a payment, my account was suspended and headed for collection. It turned out they had difficulty with my credit card in an online payment that, at the time confirmed my payment was made. They only tried to contact me by a phone number that was no longer in service. I received no other notification until the 80 days past due. I would not recommend this company. My impression is that they send technicians out solely to bill customers with no regard for the quality of their product. This is easily done, because there is no contract. They can come out whenever they want. They do not notify you when they are coming out or ask if you want service that month. Most times I was not home, so I had no contact with the technician, just the bill on the door. There are much better services without the large corporation bullying. Look at their responses to these reviews. Their responses are sterile, corporate scripts that really say, "Sorry for your luck, we are so big, we can do without your business." 0 starsTruGreen Response

Cancelled service months ago. Was assured balance at zero and account was closed at that time. Three months have passed and I received an email notice for an unpaid balance. Email instructions requesting me to login to view outstanding balance. No login available, as account had been closed. Called the (800) number and was informed that their accounting system had experienced a billing error earlier in the year. Acknowledgment from customer service; many customer affected. Too many issues with service, including mistaken application to next door neighbors yard, intended for my yard.TruGreen Response

TruGreen has been trying to reach Mr. ******* via phone and email with no response. Been a customer for a few years now. Each year we have renegotiate a price per session. This year, we did the same routine however after the first application, the price would always be higher. I'd call in, get it readjusted and pay the balance. In November, last treatment for 2024, same problem. *** reduced the price. I logged in to pay my bill. It showed the correct amount we agreed on. I paid the bill BUT it came through my bank at a higher rate! Chatted with *** online, she said sorry, our lot was large and this was the best price they could do. I told her the previous *** had adjusted it down, as was done all season, and that the lower rate was what was noted when I ppaid.she just said sorry, couldnt honor that price, AFTER the application was done! In fact, when I looked at my account, I had a credit balance! The *** talked with her supervisor and they would not budge. I was appalled that any company could show one price and then charge a higher price. I told her to cancel my account and I'd be speaking with the AGs office. I received a refund from TruGreen, once AG contacted them but no verbal or written follow up. I will not deal with such underhanded tactics. I'll be looking for a company with ethics come this spring. BE AWARE, THEY CAN CHARGE WHATEVER AND APPLY CHARGE WHENEVER!TruGreen Response

If able to, I would rate a negative star. TruGreen got me to bite on a service agreement to help get my yard to a better condition than what it was at, at the time. This started in April 24 and since then I have had my yard completely destroyed by their services. Yet they continue to come "service" my dead yard. ***** was with the company who sold me the services. ***** is no longer employed with TruGreen. I have had 4 site visits because I am dissatisfied with anything and everything they have done. I requested back in June for a refund since they have not held up their end of the contract by enhancing my yard. Furthermore, ***** is now employed with a new company and has solicited my business with his new company. I don't understand the dynamic TruGreen has with their employees. Each time I complain I get a response "I need to make a site visit to survey the yard". That's all they want to do is "site visit". I had to take off from work because ****** scheduled a time to be at my house but then ended up not showing up. I had to reach out to him to see if he was even going to communicate to me about attending a scheduled time he made.This last time, their ***************** Manager ******* came to my house with the Service Manager ******. ******* should not interact with any customer for any business. She does not posses any customer service skills and that was apparent from the moment she entered my property. ****** was understanding but still yielded no help in a resolution. Their regional manager doesn't interact with the customers also. He prefers to sit behind the scenes and continue to let dissatisfied customers be dealt with the managers below and offer no resolution. I also reached out to **** ********* (SVP of Customer Experience) via email and have yet to hear from him in over a week. I can see where the company gets their customer service directives from. It goes without saying, this company does not care for their customers. ****BEWARE****TruGreen Response

I have been with Trugreen for years, and I thought their service was not bad. However in the last year, they would just send people out to do services that was not requested and charged me for it. In addition,, as far as weeding they would only do the grass area of the backyard and not the adjoining walkway that also grew weeds. So I found a company that would do both and charge less. So I contacted Trugreen to cancel my service. However within a month period they had sent workers to do other services to my property. When I told them that I had cancelled my service, I was told that I cancelled my lawn care but not tree and shrub care, as well as one of the other services. So I finally paid for one over the phone, and was told that I'm good and do not owe anything. However they sent the remaining payment of $35 to debt collector. Will never do services with them again.TruGreen Response

Customer refuses to honor agreement of weed killer for lawn tried numerous times promise me through customer service and assure me more than four times that I would get weed killer and winterizer and they just keep giving me fertilizer I prepaid which was a mistake.TruGreen Response
