I visited the location in East Nashville. The stylist completed fried my hair with bleach. So badly it was breaking off and falling out. After a visit with a specialist a week and a half later, I was informed that with the type of hair that I have, an all over highlight was completely detrimental to my hair and the stylist at Local Honey likely didn't know this as she was a newer stylist. The stylist also quoted me a price and at the end of my visit quickly mentioned she had to charge a little more because of product. That little more was $148. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable to not inform clients ahead of time. In addition to having to cut 6-8 inches off my hair due to the damage, when I called the very next morning after realizing my hair was truly breaking off, it took over a week to resolve this with multiple phone calls, an email, and trying to go in person as well. I was informed through email that I was being terminated as a client (as if I would ever return. lol) and that they did not find the salon responsible. I am so curious who it was that damaged my hair to the point of no return? After talking with a friend recently, I was informed she had a similar experience with this salon as well. Paying one price for her hair multiple times and then one day going to the register and having the cost be over $100 that before and the salon then sharing the stylists fees had gone up. This is unacceptable and unprofessional business practice. This salon needs new management and professional policies put in place. I honestly hope the stylists there see this is not the place to be long term and find better opportunities else where to grow as professionals.
