My Wife and I submitted the application for a loan for a motorcycle two days ago and we were approved for $15,000. We were told today by the end of business day or tomorrow that we will have a decision, but weve already been waiting 48 hours. I didnt know it took this long to receive funds after being approved for a loan. I need this situation and issue to be expedited.Business Response

We have reviewed this complaint and this is not a customer of **********************. We have searched our database by the name provided, the phone number and the email address listed in the complaint and we have never received a credit application for this consumer. I think the consumer has us mixed up with Southeast Financial ************ who commonly finances motorcycles. Used SE Financial to purchase a boat. Paid for registration and 3 months later I still do not have said ***************************** with them has not been productive.... to a point of rudeness and being shrugged off.Business Response

We have received your complaint and are doing our best to get your registration completed as quickly as possible. However, the claims you made in your complaint are completely untrue. Your loan funded on October the 2nd and your paperwork was sent to your local ********** for processing. We emailed you on October the 30th to inform you that the *** has received your paperwork and would be working on it this week and that it would take 5 to 7 business days for you to receive it. We have no control over how fast your local DMV works and we even informed you that you could go to your DMV in person if you wanted to expedite the process. Those are the facts. Your claim that you have been waiting 3 months is just factually incorrect. Your loan funded Oct 2nd, and today is November 11th. That is nowhere near 3 months.

This business has INSANELY misleading information on their website. The information provided says that loan approval status is given within 24 hours and the whole process to actually receive the funding including approval, paperwork, and funding from the bank is 3-5 business days. I am now on the 10th business day, applying originally on 9/14/24. I was called on 9/25 at 9:35am CST stating our loan would be funded within 1-2 business days which would be today, 9/27. At 2:30CST I had not heard anything so I called and they told me it is not funded and they do not know why. Their only response was they are actively working on it. This is false advertisement and they should be penalized or forced to update their website to inform their customers accurately.Business Response

I used Southeast Financial to help me finance a boat on July 18, 2022. My loan had the sales tax and license fees taken out, so ********************** sent my paperwork to ** to be registered at the **** I waited months for my registration, and nothing came, so I emailed Southeast Financial asking about my registration status and was told it was being processed. I waited another month, and still no registration. I contacted Southeast again and was told that their processor was still working on registering my boat and trailer. I had to reach out again to Southeast because I still haven't received my registration, and I was told that my boat and trailer needed a VIN inspection. It was now December when I was told this, and no one ever contacted me to tell me to get my boat and trailer inspected. I asked Southeast who their so-called "processer" was, and they never told me who they were other than they work for ** **** I did my VIN inspection and was told to ***** it straight to their "processor." This "processor" doesn't work for the ** MVD like I was told, yet this company is a third-party MVD express. Forward to March 2023, I still didn't have my registration; I had to take matters into my own hands. I discovered that this third-party MVD had closed and had taken my paperwork and money.I notified Southeast and was told that this third-party MVD place cashed the check they mailed for my taxes and registration in Sept 2022. Southeast never said to me that the check was cashed. They lied to me for months about the status of my registration and the issues they were having with this third-party **** They refuse to help other than to say they didn't hire this third-party **** It is my responsibility to get my money back from this third party MVD, whom they are responsible for hiring, and they refuse to take responsibility for their negligence and the lies I have been told. They are responsible for the lost money! After all this still no contact from Southeast. Worthless!Customer Answer

2/18/22 - Purchased used RV, loan serviced by SouthEast Financial. Was told that Tax, Title, Registration HAD to be wrapped into loan, and paperwork/processing would be handled by SouthEast financial. 3/9/22 - Was told there was an issue with ****** County Tax Assessor processing paperwork, so was being sent back to SouthEast Financial to correct and send back to tax office.3/16/22 - SouthEast Financial sent paperwork back to ****** County Tax Assessor 5/4/11 - SouthEast Financial informs me that ****** County Tax Assessor confirms processing.7/27/22 - Still not completed, no update from SouthEast Financial. Called and spoke to rep.8/2/22 - Was asked to call SouthEast Financial. Called and was informed that paperwork was not processed and i would need to go in to take care of myself. SouthEast Financial provided sending check to pay for Tax, title, registration. Was warned that i might need to pay using my own money, but would be refunded.8/5/22 - I went to ****** County Tax Assessor to take care of paperwork. Late registration penalty fee's being accrued due to time since vehicle purchase. They would not accept check from SouthEast Financial, had to write my own check = $4827.06. Sent SouthEast Financial all receipts and paperwork and was informed by SouthEast Financial that everything looks good and would be sending me a reimbursement check. Was also provided label to send back unused SouthEast Financial check.8/6/22 - Dropped unused SouthEast Financial check with label into *** drop box.10/24/22 - I reached out to SouthEast Financial for update. Was told that they never received unused check back. I asked how that is my problem and why they couldn't void the check. It's been 3 months, was dropped off, and was not cashed. Was told would be called back.10/25/22 - SouthEast Financial calls back with changed reason of all receipts and documents look correct, but something on the back in the system from ****** County does not look correct.Business Response

****** County is one of the counties that will not take our paperwork. Which is why we sent all documents and a check for the taxes and fees directly to you to be able to walk in to the *** directly to complete the title work. When you walked in, the *** would not accept our check, which is why you had to pay out of pocket. Southeast Financial had no control over the fact that the *** would not accept our check for your taxes and fees. Since you paid out of pocket, we did explain that we would reimburse you once the lien was recorded and we would need the check to be returned to our office. The check that we issued is a certified check that in order to issue a new check payable to you, we would have to re-deposit the initial check back into our account. We provided a pre-paid ***** label to you with instructions to return the check: the label was never used and the check was never sent back to SEF.We had to then put a stop payment on this check, which is a process and there are fees associated with this. The lien holder address that was added to the title was done so incorrectly, TX *** said it would be 4 months to issue the title due to the discrepancy. We went ahead and accepted the incorrect lien holder information against policy knowing that ** will get it completed in 4 months from now, and have issued the refund payable to you directly. The check was delivered to you on 11.2.2022.
I apologize this was a lengthy process, however the issues with the *** and check not being returned to our office to issue your refund was completely out of our hands. We have issued the refund to you and closed the file out.Initial Complaint

I started a loan process with Southeast Financial late May 2022- I provided all the information requested and was approved- After approval the representative I was working with would not reply to my calls or emails for several days but finally did after I left a message I was going to loose the trailer I was trying to purchase because the seller had received another offer and was becoming concerned about my ability to purchase it... All the paperwork from both myself and the seller where sent overnight by ****** supplied by Southeast Financial but the sellers were lost in transit creating a further delay.... I was instructed to pay the downpayment to the seller which I did but the loan proceeds were delayed further to the seller still creating the sellers insecurity for the sale... Finally it was completed after a lot of stress for myself and the seller... But.... Southeast Financial collected $1380.00 overage of the tax and license for WA state and now I am chasing that down-- The registration has been submitted and I now have it but I have been emailing and calling for 2 weeks to receive the balance-- I've been told the overage has to go on the loan but in WA state when an overage is paid on a new vehicle purchase be it used or new the overage is refunded to the buyer-- I would prefer a refund but either way will work- I have sent the account number of the lender to them and they did send a check to the lender but without the account number so in contacting the lender they do not know where to deposit the funds.... The lender told me the check will go back to Southeast Financial in 30 days or they can cancel payment on the check and send a new one with the correct information- I have emailed this to the representative we are dealing with, yet to hear back- This loan process with Southeast Financial is going on 2 months now? I am paying interest on $1380 that is not in my account or refunded to me? This has been a very frustrating experience....Business Response
