I purchased a brand new 2023 ****** Rogue from ************** in *****, **** in June 2023. Regular maintenance including tire rotation has been competed every 5000 miles at the dealership. I have just been informed by the dealership that I need new tires. These tires are ***** mile tires. The dealership says that this is common on new cars! This is unacceptable. I called ****** and they won't warranty stating that they do not make the tires. I called Hankook Tire that did manufacture the tire and they will not warranty. I feel that ****** produced and sold me the car. They chose to install inferior tires on their product and they should be held responsible for and warranty these tires.

      To whom it may concern,

We regret that the Hankook tires installed on the complainant's ****** Rogue did not meet expectations. There are many factors that contribute to tire wear, and there is no hard and fast rule to measure the service life of a tire. Tires are made with various types of raw materials and a variety of rubber compounds all having varying performance properties. Once a tire is designed and manufactured to achieve given performance properties and put into use, it is subjected to further varying conditions such as weather, storage, load, speed, inflation pressure, maintenance practices, road conditions, driver inputs, and much more. Since all these factors affect the service life of a tire, it is just not possible to predict with accuracy or scientific validity the service life of a tire. While one may be drawn to look to the tire's construction as the sole contributor to the rate of tire wear, the earlier mentioned factors, and more, are direct contributors to how a tire will wear. It is important to note that the tires equipped as Original Equipment tires (OE Tires- tires installed during new vehicle assembly) on the ****** Rogue do carry a Limited Manufacturer's Warranty against manufacturing errors. However, they do not carry a Mileage Warranty, which would cover mileage/wear. Therefore, the complainant is not *********** any warranty consideration for this tire condition.

We purchased a 2022 Equinox in February 2022. The Hankook tires only had ****** miles on a tire rated for ****** miles. We were going on vacation in January of 2024 and checked out the tires and they were so worn we had to replace before we went on vacation. We were worried about our safety on the old tires. The new tires we had to purchase, NOT Hankook, were $869.48. I think Hankook should stand behind their products whether or not the tires were purchased outright or on a new car.

I purchased a brand new **** f150 in April 2023. They are the Hankook Dyna Pro 275 60 R20 tires. This is my 4th F150 in 18 years. Not one time have I ever need to replace tires after only 9 months. On January 22, ****, I had my tires inspected as instructed by Hankook by ******************* of ***********. All the tires spec'd our at 4/32 with only ****** miles. I believe that there is a ****** warranty on these tires. As I have read in numerous complaints and frankly am quite confused, I was told that tires that camE on the truck when purchased are not covered but if I had bought them then they were. THAT IS THE BIGGEST FARCE ON THE PLANET. That makes as much sense as extinguishing a fire with gasoline. **** bought them new so what the h*** is the difference. I want these tires prorated and credit given to me to purchase new tires. That's it. STAND BY YOUR PRODUCT!!!! I OWN A BUSINES AND MANUFACTURE PRODUCTS. I am rejecting this response because: The fact of the matter is they dont stand behind their product. It makes no sense to not warranty OEM tires but if I buy the tires they warranty them thats a canned response. Ive seen that same response on multiple other complaints. I guess my next step is to go to the media if they want dont want to take care of this, I have friends with local media that would love to take this on as a consumer complaint so unless they want to consider some type of warranty and thatll be my next move

Hankook Tires Kinergy St purchased 18 months ago have worn down in less than ****** miles of use. These are dangerous and today I slid off the road twice and nearly crashed due to the tread on tires being poorly made. These tires are just slightly above the warranty limits 4/32 and Hankook will not assure customer safety in any way, shape or form. After reading the numerous manufacturing issues related to Hankook tires and recalls due to faulty manufacturing, something needs to be done to protect customers who have their inferior products on vehicles. As a customer I do not wish to perish or put others in danger due to a substandard product. I hope Hankook will take action and take these tires back in the short term. In the long term I hope they will do a better job.

      To Whom It May Concern:

Hankook provides a competitive mileage warranty on most tires. If the eligible product wears out (down to 2/32nds of remaining depth) before the warranty mileage, Hankook will provide proration towards the purchase of a new tire. The replacement prorated allowance will be calculated by the percentage of warranted miles not received, multiplied by the original selling price. The complainant contacted Hankook Warranty Support to ask about how the mileage warranty works. After it was explained to the complainant that the tires must be at 4/32 evenly, they asked to speak to a supervisor. After they spoke to the supervisor, the supervisor over the warranty department reached out to Americas Tire and spoke with ****. Upon getting all the information from **** about the tires, a goodwill offer was made on behalf of the complainant's tires. Hankook does not cover the cost of mounting, balancing, taxes or any other additional fees. No additional offer will be made.

On November 2, 2023, the business (Hankook ******* Headquarters) APPROVED a merchant's refund (credit) to my MasterCard (Virtual Card), in the amount of $40.00. Subsequently, Hankook denied me access to these funds, on the basis that the card had already expired when the credit transaction occurred. Hankook had prior knowledge that my eligibility period for access to my credit card had already expired, and should not have approved the credit transfer in the first place, but did it anyway, presumably for ulterior motives. Thus far, my repeated attempts to resolve this problem directly with the business have turned out to be an exercise in consumer futility. I received no response from Hankook to any of my written contacts. My attempts to communicate with Hankook's Management Team and/or ************** telephonically, have failed as well, as all calls are answered by useless automated prompts that do not apply to my particular situation or reason for calling.

I am rejecting this response, for the following reasons:  The merchants statement that it is going to reissue the credit, though appreciated, is meaningless because the promised action is not predicated upon a definite time when the credit will (or is expected to) actually materialize.  In essence, it is an empty promise, as it  presents us with a futuristic event governed by an UNCERTAINTY that is beyond measure or comprehension.  In other words, the indefinite aspect of the merchants promise is construed as a credit or refund that *** occur several weeks or months or years from now, or *** not happen at all.  For these reasons, I respectfully request that the company will provide us with a tangible and meaningful response and not leave too much to the imagination.  Thank you.

I leased a 2022 ****** Rogue SV in August of 2022 that came with Hankook tires. On September 16, 2023, I took my car with ****** miles for an oil change at my local ****** dealership, and I was told by my service advisor that my tires were bald, and I needed new tires. I reached out to Hankook on September 18, 2023, and spoke to ******** who informed me that theres nothing he could do for me since it is the original tires, theres no warranty on those tires, and I would need to purchase new tires. He didnt even want to help me; he made it seem like I was an inconvenience for calling him. After reading several complaints on the BBB, it appears that I am not the only one having issues with Hankook tires. Therefore, I believe everyone who experiences similar problems with these tires should file an NHTSA.gov complaint. These tires need to be taken off the market before someone gets seriously hurt.

I leased a 2021 ****** Rogue in May of 2021 that came with Hankook tires. In July of 2022 with ****** miles my tires were bald and I went to my local ****** dealer and was advised that Hankook would prorate the tires because they had a ****** mile warranty. I had to pay out of pocket approximately $425 to have them replaced and installed. Now in June of 2023, ****** miles later, I went to have my tires rotated, as I rotate them every ***** miles as advised, and I was told my tires are just about bald. I said it cant be - I just had them changed ****** miles ago! Needless to say I was very upset about this. I went to the ****** dealer and they measured the tires as did Town Fair tire, who rotated them, and discovered they are in fact just about bald. They told me to call Hankook, Hankook told me to have ****** call and once again they want to prorate and this time Im on the hook for $550! This is completely unacceptable- that in a years time I have to put out just about $1000 for tires that in total have ****** miles and two going on three sets of tires. These are clearly defective tires and I am requesting that these tires and all the costs associated with replacing them be covered.
