I purchased tickets for a bus tour since the location on their website was listed as *** *** *** ** ********* TN and that location was walking distance from the hotel my family was staying at. The transaction was completed at 7:30pm and they emailed me the confirmation and itinerary. When I read the itinerary it stated I had to go and pick up the vouchers which was 20 min away from where I am staying. I called them at 7:37pm and advised that I had to cancel the bus tour since there would be no way for to pick up vouchers and their website never stated I had to go to a different location to pick up anything. The person was very rude on the phone and I explained to her many times that the website was dishonest because it never disclosed anything about picking up tickets, especially since they had their location as **** **** ********* *** *** *** ** ********* *N. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she refused to give me someone else. I tried calling back at 8:01 and the phone agent Guia said there was no supervisor available.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: Vacation Made Easy is lying. I never asked them to send me a voucher online. At 8:12am I received a call from ************ and when I picked up it was someone from Vacation Made Easy to inquire about the complaint I wrote to them the night before. I explained to them I had cancelled since I was not aware I had to drive 20 mins to pick up a voucher and I was unable to. The person then said she would email me the voucher. I told them again I did not want the voucher I wanted my money back. She emailed it anyway and asked me to print it. At 8:51am I called them and told them that they sent me a voucher and asked me to print it and it was not able to be printed, and I explained again I wanted to cancel and have a refund. Their practice is fraudulent since they do not disclose they are trying to have you come there to review a timeshare when purchasing tickets and that they are charging a person more money than what the tickets actually cost.

On March 5 I bought tickets to the Comedy Barn for 4 adults and 6 kids. I was offered free tickets to a sky ranch. As I checked out, I was offered a ** **llar deal. I bought the deal and my total is about ***** These tickets are for an outing in March 22-24. After checking out, I saw it was the vacations made easy place and read info that I would have to pick up the tickets. We will not be in pigeon forge before 8 pm on Friday and we are staying in Gatlinburg. To get back to get the tickets the next morning will eat up about 2 hours of our time. I called and was told my only option was to get a refund for 65% or take a card for the amount paid to use at a later date. I would like to have my tickets electronically sent to me so I can avoid stopping at the place. I have a gold membership already at Bluegreen and am not interested in a time share. I feel like this was a bait and switch (even though it did happen to me once before) and I do not want to have to make an appearance at the Pidgeon Forge location. I have 6 grandchildren in tow and I’m not interested in what they are selling.Business response

I went online to the Edgewater Hotel to get a room for my vacation. Site went directly to vacationsmadeeasy.com. Received an order confirmation of ******* and they charged my debit card ******** The next day 2 people Vivian and Ashley called me. I called and talked to Vivian who said the hotel had no rooms available. I told her to cancel my reservation then and I want my full refund by 9am 2/22. We will see if I get it. I later called the hotel directly and Vivian lied. They did have rooms available so I booked one directly. This company is a scam and I hope they make this right and refund my full payment of ********Business response

Edgewater hotel reserves a limited number of rooms for Vacations Made Easy, those rooms may be sold out whild Edgewater still has rooms availible.
We contacted the customer about this on 2/21 and let her know, we then initiated a fefund on 2/21 in full. the only scam is this bogus complaint.

I am rejecting this response because it is not a bogus complaint. Yes they refunded my money in full (thank you) however, they lied and was stuttering when I called them out on that this was a scam. If I was the only one reporting problems I could expect their reply but the hotel even told me that they have no affiliation with this company. So this company high jacked the hotels website. The girl that I talked to thanked me for letting them know because that is a scam in itself that the hotel is trying to rectify.
At least I learned something this. Always call hotels directly to make your reservation.

Customer asked for a refund, we provided it before she even filed her complaint with the BBB. We do have an agent that stutters but I dont believe its appropriate to make fun of their disability.
At Vacations Made Easy we sell thousands of tickets and lodging each week to various attractions and hotels, we book this Hotel regularly through Travel Gate.

I was trying to purchase 4 tickets to Dollywood for my family to go on March. It said I was able to get 4 free tickets to skyland ranch’s chairlift ride. I clicked ok, it sent me to PayPal to pay, it charged me for the “processing fee” only which I realize now is just the chairlift vouchers that I thought I was getting free…and now they want me to pick them up at someplace in Tennessee. I thought this was going to be sent electronically, and the thing is I didn’t even want them. I have NO tickets to Dollywood, that was the whole reason for the purchase in the first place. I called to cancel and they kept telling me a refund was only an option if I wanted it as a credit for next time I side their services or it was only going to be a certain percentage of a refund back. This company is ridiculous and needs to be stopped.Business response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, I’m glad this nightmare is over. I have no idea how this company (if you can even call it that) is still in business. It’s a total scam and the public needs to be made aware.
Lesson learned, I will NEVER be purchasing tickets ahead of time out of convenience again.The fact that this company is called “Vacations MADE EASY” is a total joke.

I was looking to purchase show tickets in Pigen Forge Tn. Go online and think I am purchasing from particulars show place and somehow vacations made easy come up. Shows buy 1 ticket get one free. So I go to purchase boho tickets for Elvis and the superstars and The Aarray show and my total is *****0 then it pops up I get free ride tickets for the sky land ranch. I clicked okay. Still showed ******. I clicked that I wanted my tickets electronically for free. When I finished it quickly popped up ****** total. And would not let me back out. Then says thanks for purchase. Through email it wouldn’t give me an itemized receipt and even when I click on order description. Then I get an email stating I need to come by welcome center in Sevierville to pick up tickets. I am already in Gatlinburg. It took me three hours to get to the welcome center. Then the guy wants to talk about doing a walk through so they can sell me a time share and get more free tickets etc … and not let me go when I had 30 minutes to get all the way back to show. I said I clicked on to get my tickets electronically… He completely ignored me talking about this walkthrough. I said look I want my tickets I paid for so I can go to what I paid for…. They have taken over the internet .. You can’t harley get to actual websites anymore to purchase tickets… Immediately after leaving to pick up my printed tickets they send me the tickets electronically! They over charged me for one. The normal price for these tickets for the Elvis show is only *** each and I even found coupons for ** off each person. Then for the Aarray Show there only **$ a piece and found coupons for ** off each person. Which my total at purchasing from the shows and without the bogo free would have been 1*** plus tax…. So how did I get 2 tickets to each show at Buy 1 get 1 free plus two other free ride tickets. And somehow pay 1***. I didn’t even know I paid this until looking at my banking account. Again no recipt sent no itemized statement. Nothing!! Not even my tickets electronically until after I drive 3 hrs and hear a speech then you send me my tickets electronically!! On ******** at 0130 I purchased 3 tickets to pirates voyage. I was waiting for my tickets to be emailed to me only to find out I have to go to a physical location 45 minutes away and our days are all planned out already. That was no where advertised how the sale would go down. Very shady company. I emailed for a refund in under 2 hours of purchasing the tickets.Business response

On ********** **** pm central time our agents made arangements for this customer to pick up there tickets at the attraction this was done on the phone with the customer? I bought tickets for a future event through them. Every other online seller, gives you electronic tickets as soon as you make the purchase. Only after you’ve completed the purchase from this seller, you find out that you need to drive to a physical site, miles out of the way to get a voucher which then you have to try and redeem for a ticket with the actual venue. Other than the obvious not wanting to waste time on vacation, tons of online reviews state multiple difficulties actually trying to redeem the voucher. They advertise the ticket as buy one, get one free, but raise the price of the ticket so it’s hardly a discount at all. The website says 100% cancellable but then if you click through to the small print it’s for a credit to something else from them or a 65% credit. No reputable business charges you 35% for cancelling an order literally minutes after placing an order when they haven’t yet provided any service. I emailed them to cancel the order and refund in full. I received a survey asking me about my customer service experience so I assumed it was handled. I purchased a package thru this company 3 years ago. We rebooked everything for this year 2023 however one of the days that we have booked with a hotel we need to cancel. I contacted the company and explained that I need to cancel one of the nights and that I would like a refund for the one night. They told me that in order to get a refund, I have to cancel my reservation for the one night which would cost me $50.00 and then whatever is left of the one night I would get back 65% of that back. I am cancelling at least a week ahead so I should get back whatever I paid for that night. I am not very happy with this situation. I would like a full refund for the one night. I am rejecting this response because:
I originally paid for this back in 2018. Due to Covid all the places were closed. We were not given our money back but a gift certificate to be used at a later date. We kept every year until this year (2023) renewing it until we were finally able to use them. Had it not been for Covid, we would have used the three days for the hotel. Since we were taking our granddaughter, she was not in school. Now she is so we had to have her back for her school a day earlier than planned. I would like my money back since it was paid for. Thank you

Placed an order for tickets for The Grand Old Opry. The tickets themselves were not available for pickup until I could do it in person. I went to pick up the tickets on July 23 had a lengthy conversation with Gary at which time he put in my order code and printed the tickets. I was getting ready to go to the show and happened to check the tickets and realized they were for July 22nd. My question to this is, Gary put my information into the computer to print the tickets how is it he didn’t say anything about the tickets being for the night before. I called Vacations Made Easy right away and was told by the girl on the phone (sorry I didn’t get her name) that she couldn’t do anything for me but would transfer me to a supervisor. The supervisor wasn’t available so I had to leave a message. Still waiting for a callback. My order number is ******* and now Vacations Made Easy has over $300.00 of my money and I didn’t get to see a show.Business response

This customer placed her order online and of course selected the dates herself, the agent at the center just prints the tickets that are in the system ordered by the customer. Of course we were charged by the vendor for the tickets, so we are not holding her money the actual charge to her was $237.34 not over 300 as she claims. However, in the interest of good faith i will issue a gift certificate in the full amount to her to use online at Vacations Made Easy.Business response

How long is this gift certificate going to be good for? How are they getting it to me? Where are these thousands of properties? I will accept the offer if there is no expiration date and there are places in Ontario Canada to use it.
