Gehan was the initial builder to our home. Closing on our home was January 10, 2020. Recently had a significant structural damage on March 27, 2025. Called the Gehan number. ******** stated merged with Briggtland Homes in 2023. Inquired about warranty resolution. Spoke with representative. Representative encouraged to file a complaint. Complaint filed on March 27, 2025. Informed structural damage covered for 10 years. My home has stones falling off the front of our doorway entry. This is a huge safety concern. Someone from Gehan aka ********** needs to discuss and rectify this issue ASAP. I am not pleased. The structure of this home should not fall apart in 5 years!

Pressured sales. Keeps pushing the deadline for the incentives. Then a new incentives came out for 1/2 off structural, premium and designs. I asked ****** ***** about it. There's suddenly a clause of "up to $60k" but i only qualify for 50% = 30k and shes only giving it for structural and design. But my total for all three (structural, premium, and designs) was $140k. So it should qualify for the $60k shes taking about. When i confronted her about her math, suddenly there's no $60 k max and shes only giving me $30k off! What a SCAM !!! Bait and switch!!!1. if there was a max, the ad should clearly specify that. 2. Don't say "up to $60k" if you never intended to give that much.3. You have 1 job.. sell houses. And you don't know your own specials?! I blame higher management for that..Lack of communication from the top!If you cant train your staff well, how can you sell good quality homes??!!!

I have to start by saying Brighland Homes doesnt care about their customers (especially people of color). I have been looking to purchase a home for a while and finally settled for ********* homes. Because of the short duration of the contract, during our final walkthrough, my realtor asked if I can get an inspection after the fact and if the builder will cover any repairs from the report. The construction manager said Yes that repairs will be covered as long as it is under one year. To make the story shoter , after moving in, we realized the ** unit what was placed right outside the master bedroom was making loud noises and we couldnt sleep. I submitted several warranty requests and the builder will not fix it, instead they said the ** manufacturer has to repair it. We called the ** installer who told my family that the builder was informed not to install the ** right by the master bedroom, but they refused to listed and had them install where it is currently located. From speaking to other neighbors who purchased Brightland homes, they said they had the same issue and had to complain to corporate before the builder agreed to relocate the ** unit. I have tried several times to get this unit relocated so we can sleep peace, but nothing is working. Thats why I think the builder treats people of color quite differently. This has turned out to be the worse home buying experience and I will never recommend this builder to anyone I know. My realtor has tried to make several contacts with the sales consultant, but it seems he doesnt care to help either. Brightland homes is terrible.

STAY AWAY. DON'T BUY. There have been an endless parade of sales people and construction managers who come and go. Communication was NONE EXISTENT until I said I wanted to cancel my contract. All of the sudden after 5 months of radio silence I revive my first phone call from the Sales ****** ***** who admits he doesn't visit homesites just sales offices. And this is not for lack of me trying- my communications went unanswered. When I asked for an item - I get crickets but when they want money or signatures, they are on you to do it same day. I've built several houses in AZ and hand down this is the WORST company I've worked with. They clearly do not care about you as a customer. The sales manager They can't even get small basic things like communication or following their own process of weekly updates correct (I never received one). I literally had to walk ***** through how to read the To: line in an email when he insisted I had received the email when in reality the on site sales person was sending him a PREVIEW of an email to me for approval on trying to save my business. This review comes at a steep cost for me - so learn the ****** I wish I had - PASS on **********. They tried to get me to continue with this contract by offering to pay for my inspections and saying I had a "great lot". Come on. I was then promised a phone call from *** ******* which has not come yet.

Im very disappointed in ********** Hones in the ****************** in ******* **! The customer service is disgusting! There were so many issues before the foundation was poured for the home I wanted to build that I canceled the contract at dirt!!!!The sales representative rushed an explanation of what to expect from the building process, there was a sense of urgency to go under contract and the sales representative did not care about my concerns. He would tell me what I needed to have in the house and tried to over talk me when I interjected! The design center is a rip off. Beware of the design center incentive! Its not really an incentive, its a ploy to get more money out of the consumer to get them invested in the purchase just in case things went side ways, it would be more difficult to walk away! Additionally, the lot would not have been able to have an air conditioner placed on the side due to being so small, nor would it accommodate a whole house generator per the construction manager. There was also a $12k lot premium. Gutters do not come standard all around the home. The construction manager told me to have the oak trees removed post closing so that they would not cause issues. Upon trying to rectify my experience with management, I was laughed at! I lost $12k because I refused to move forward with an unethical builder who doesnt value the consumer. Im not a rich man but after reading other reviews, I feel that I dodged a bullet!Take my advice and read review across other sites and stay away from Brightland Homes!

If I could give Brightland Homes ZERO stars, I would. I was in the process of building a home in the ******** community in *******, **. I was looking at the Cayman floor plan which is approximately 2700 sqft. Upon consulting with my Realtor and the sales associate for the community, I was optimistic. However, the sales agent was not at all attentive to my wants and needs for the home. I felt rushed to sign the contract because the community was at "close out" and there was only one lot left that would accommodate the floor plan I wanted. I was told over and over again by the Sales Agent that, "I need to do this today!" I was also charged a $12K lot premium for a lot which was very small but the justification was it was in front of a retention pond (near water) so the house would have additional features. Overall, the sales agent did not explain the process of building new construction thoroughly. He was trying to design the house for me, over talking me and suggesting upgrades that I didn't want in order to keep the home near my price range. It was all about money for him and the builder! There were several red flags at the start but I decided to sign the contract being that I loved the community and figured that I could eventually work things out with the builder. I was so wrong and disappointed. I do not have enough characters left to document my entire experience but it was the most awful experience I have ever had when building a new home and this was my 4th new construction home. My advice is to stay away from ********** Homes. I canceled the contract at dirt due to too many red flags. I refused to pay almost $400K for a house that would not 100% fit my needs. I was not given my $11K deposit back after cancelling and voicing my concerns. ********** only cares about money, not the quality of their homes or the customer's needs! Just take my advice and ....STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!

We are literally tired of followups with Brightland and warranty fixes are still pending. Multiple people came checked the issues and went. No one comes to fix the pending fixes, they just come to take a tour of the house see the issues talks in circles and goes. Thats all. No remedy at all. ***************** said builder has not send any requests for the fixes. We do not understand what we have done to get this treatment from Gehan/ Brightland other than making a choice to buy house from this company. We closed the house almost 1.9 years now and the torture continues to make us feel absolutely disgusted about the decision to purchase from them. Our patience have been tested to its limits by Brightlands service.Very sad, Brightlands builders gives no values or respect for customer concerns.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the house I purchased from Brightland Homes at **************. Despite the high price, the quality of construction is disgusting. Your 60-day and 11-month warranty claims are meaningless, as every time I submit a ticket, you deny coverage. We had a leak over our garage that was hard to identify. Your warranty person came, claimed to fix it, but it still leaked during the next rain. Now, mold is growing, and you still havent addressed it despite multiple tickets. Our kitchen window also leaks, and instead of fixing it, you blame us for not closing it properly. This is a poor excuse to avoid addressing your shoddy workmanship.Your homes may look nice, but they are poorly built, and your customer service is terrible. I have all our conversations recorded and will pursue legal action if these issues are not resolved immediately. I regret buying a home from you and I warn others to avoid buying home from this scammy builder.
