      Terrible place! Will sell you a warranty for a modified truck and not tell you that you cant use it! Had us post a 5 star review before we signed papers. Buyer beware!!! Do not use this place. Huge scam!!!

      Was in the market to buy a truck specifically to haul a trailer, After looking at dealerships and trucks online I came across carsandpicksups.com. I called to look at one truck in particular. I met with a salesman named *** and he brought the truck around for us to test drive. We test drove the vehicle and everything seemed to be okay at the time. I inspected the truck to the best of my ability and decided it purchase it. Despite some issues with the dealership sending incorrect information on the purchase agreement to the bank for the loan causing some delays the service we got at the dealership was fine. The truck sat for a few days since it was not purchased to be driven everyday as a commuting vehicle and was only driven a few times, short distances. Two weeks after i purchased the truck we decided to drive it and once we turned on the truck we noticed no air. The blower motor on the hvac system had gone out. And we noticed the gears were sticking. Four days after that we took the truck on the highway for the first time and the check engine light came on and the truck begin to omit a burning smell. We immediately brought the truck into a dodge dealership and was told the transmission needed to be completely replaced. We contacted the dealership right away since we had not even had the truck three weeks and no one would help. We were unable to get a supervisor or manager to speak to. After doing our research on the dealership its clear this has happened to many people and this dealership sells vehicles that should not be sold and they are reckless and not be allowed to sell this vehicles in this condition. They take no responsibility and do not care whatsoever the situation they put their customers in. Now we have thousands of dollars in repairs we cant afford and a loan for a useless truck and we have not even made a payment on yet.

We did not experience any of these issues when the vehicle was in our possession. We are not sure when these items failed and these items described in this review are easy to identify and would have been noticed on a test drive before purchase.       Buyer Beware: Cars and ******** sells vehicles without ensuring adequate servicing. Despite waiting two weeks for them to address my concerns, they have failed to do so. Within just 24 hours of purchasing a ******* Navigator, it left me and my two young children stranded due to a breakdown. The vehicle couldn't even manage a short distance without overheating.This happened right before Christmas, and every nearby mechanic and dealership couldn't inspect the car until after the new year. Consequently, my husband had to step in, purchasing and replacing the part himself something completely unexpected for a recently bought vehicle.While the *** repair cost us $280, saving an estimated $800, the inconvenience, stress, and safety risks were unacceptable. Seeking reimbursement for the replaced parts, I was dismayed when *******, instead of responding directly to me (the primary point of contact and the first person listed on the loan), chose to contact my husband. This approach felt disrespectful and appeared to dismiss my involvement, resorting to a typical sexist car salesman tactic of bypassing me to negotiate with my husband. Their offered reimbursement of only $140, which was half of what we asked for, felt insulting considering the circumstances. We requested $280, a quarter of the cost of a dealership repair, which seemed reasonable under the circumstances.Adding to the disappointment, the vehicle's oil life was at 4% upon purchase, necessitating immediate servicing. I left the lot with only 20 miles to E. This negligence contradicts their claimed commitment to caring deeply about their customers.It's disheartening when a dealership neglects its reputation and customer care commitments. I hope this review serves as a warning for potential customers of Cars and ********. Upholding customer service and responsibility should be paramount, especially in situations affecting safety and trust.

      DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!! Bought a truck from them only to take it into my local dealership for once over and alignment, etc. I was informed that the DEF system had been completely removed and this was illegal for them to sell me a vehicle with modified emissions system. I called TCEQ and was told by an enforcement officer that it is illegal for dealerships to sell trucks with the DEF system removed (or more commonly called deleted) to an individual, they can only be sold at auction or between dealerships. I have tried to work with the dealership for a solution and the only solutions they have presented will result in me spending more money with them or losing several thousand dollars myself! They have refused to return the truck to legal condition (stating DEF system parts on national backorder) or compensate me in order to return the truck to legal condition.

      **BUYER BEWARE**My brother purchased a vehicle from the Katy ******** and just a few days after purchase the vehicle was not drivable after a reputable mechanic reviewed it was determined that the car needed an entire new engine and evidence this issue had been evident for sometime based on the findings inside the engine. The dealership refused to assist in anyway. Do not purchase from this dealership!

      Purchased a truck from carsandpickups.com recently. After inspecting the truck, found air cleaner was damaged, and let contamination into engine, tire pressure monitoring system was not functioning properly and will have to be programmed/repaired, rear shock needed replacement, transmission oil pan missing bolt, now has developed trouble code for EVAP system, dust shield under radiator broken, missing tire **** and tools. I am a certified ASE technician with over 25 years experience and my own business repairing cars, trucks, equipment, and have never seen a vehicle in this condition. Spent 41k on purchase. I will be referring this to the ****** of ******** General/consumer protection of *****, as well as the one in my state. I do not recommend purchasing a vehicle from this business.

      Today I attempted to have a discussion with ************************* about a 2016 **** F-150 that carsandpickups.com currently has listed for sale. It really is a beautiful looking truck, but unfortunately, I never got a chance to get to the negotiation table due to the lack of *****'s professionalism. Ironically, ***** holds the title of "Customer Sales Professional" which is the complete opposite of what I experienced today while talking with *****. The conversation started with me reaching out to the dealership inquiring about the vehicle. I received an email from ***** rather quickly. I discovered that ***** is quick because of his overall lack of effort. I established my ground rules for a negotiation in which I said the following. "Hey *****, Thanks for getting back to me, I prefer to communicate via email. Before we get ahead of ourselves, will you send me over an itemized OTD (out-the-door) with ******** tag, title, tax and any other included fees. I see you have had the vehicle for about a month, with the wholesale market dipping and retail sales down, I want to make sure you don't have to worry about holding it much longer. Sadly, this is where the negations never started because ***** refused to provide me with my requested information. You see, the problem for ***** was my request of the whole picture of my cost to purchase the vehicle. Where ***** decided to haggle me, was on the ******** tag, title, and tax. ***** informed me that he "didn't have the ability to estimate out of state TT&L" and at one point stated, " That is our policy, period the end of story". It is public information that has nothing to do with the financing of the loan.

It is important to note that we openly advertise that we are a no haggle, no pressure business. As it relates to sales tax, since we are ***** based, there are some states that we do not have all the taxes and fees. There are many variables that play a factor when determining that cost. Price, registration type, vehicle use, and many other items that are different from state to state. Hope this helps!

      THIS DEALERSHIP IS A SCAM! My husband bought a truck from here, drove it off the lot & transmission went out. The dealership has had the vehicle for several months “fixing it” which they have done nothing, their outside mechanic is a scrap yard! We have an attorney involved. All they want is your money, they don’t care about you, they have absolutely no morals. DO NO BUY FROM HERE!
