    Our account was suddenly removed. I received an email at the end of a business day before the weekend that our account was suddenly removed. We are in the process of seeking immediate care for our parents and unable to resolve the issue so that we may communicate with caregivers. This is so disheartening and frustrating. It is already so difficult to attain adequate care for seniors. The last thing I expected from care.com was to throw up a barrier for my sister and I to help our parents. We are so disappointed and in a very precarious position.

    DECEPTIVE RENEWAL POLICIES - I'd rather leave ZERO stars. Anyone considering using this platform should run in another direction. I was looking for a tutor for my daughter. Signed up for their initial intro. I spoke with a couple of tutors but ended up finding someone from my daughters school instead. I didn't realize they would do an auto renewal and have absolutely no emails to remind me of upcoming renewal fees. No email notifications at all or opportunities to cancel. I want to formally express my serious dissatisfaction with care.com's automatic renewal policy and more specifically the complete lack of communication preceeding the charges to my account- or even the last 5. Its deeply concerning that your system doesn't provide any form of advance notice before charging a recurring fee of this magnitude. this lack of transparency borders on deceptive business practice. Reasonable and ethical companies typically provide a reminder or notification prior to renewal - particularly when it involves a high quarterly fee - to ensure that customers are given a fair opportunity to evaluate, cancel or renew their subscription as they see fit. By failing to notify me care.com has deprived me of that opportunity. this practice may constitute a violation of consumer protection standards and raises questions about their compliance with automatic renewal laws in certain jurisdictions, which often require clear notice before a renewal is processed.

    I signed up for a basic membership. So I could browse the sitters. We never communicated with any or hired any! They then charged my credit card in $383 (in 3 separate transactions so it didn't look as sketchy) I did not catch it in April of last year. But I did this year. When I call to tell them I never authorized this (or the initial) the customer service person just said... yes you did and you opened the email that said it would renew. (Mind you I checked EVERY junk, spam, inbox, ect...) clearly a Lie! This clearly fraudulent behavior has been report to my credit card company

    I have read all the reviews left about Care.com, and I like every other review has serious problems with this company. I am a child care facility advertising on their site. I truly believed after speaking with the representative, **** ****, that this would be a great way to advertise my school. The contract was for a year, I took the risk and signed the contract. After 6 months of $300 monthly payments I have had ZERO enrollments and the same number of tours. I call and there is no one to answer, I leave messages, and someone calls me back and wants to "sing and dance" offering me solutions to gain interest and potential enrollments. Most of the families I have contacted through Care.com had NO interest in my particular school. 2 families were not even in the same state as my school and were not moving to the state. When I brought these issues to the attention of whatever agent happened to be assigned to call me , I heard the same "song and dance" I have respectfully, and professionally asked to be released from the contract and continue to be told "This cannot be done" #@$%$$ is what I say to that, someone in that corrupt company can authorize a release of my contract. If I stop the payment to them, they will sue me, I have a small family school and could never keep pace with what the attorneys would throw at me. I am stuck. So, every week, I send a new email requesting to be released from the contract that has had no benefit to my school, and every couple of weeks I get a reply and maybe a phone call with the same "song and dance". I am getting pretty familiar with this particular tune.(hahahaha) Please, fellow child care providers be very very careful when considering using Care.com, we are better off to use our "old school" word of mouth method.

    I had multiple caregivers accept a job and then not show up or stop responding to messages to explain the job/address timing/details. I finally found an excellent, diligent caregiver and Care.com charged my credit card and then didn't pay her. Will not use again.

    I decided to check out Care.com for some side work, I'm a caregiver to an elderly parent and don't get paid so I wanted something that has flexibility that a normal 9 to 5 doesn'**** even look at what Care.com offers you have to sign up with an email, which is a red flag but I idiotically did it anyway. My mistake. After handing over my email, they expected me to hand over money to gain access to their site. Absolutely not. I just wanted to check them out to see if they were worth the time, they're not. I deleted my account.Sadly, since I gave them my email, I have been bombarded with scam emails. Like everyone I get scam emails from time to time, but since visiting Care.com it's gotten out of control. Hopefully after a few months it'll die down again, but I'm furious.Care.com is a joke, they have no business existing.

    If I could leave no stars, I would have. I recently posted a job on care.com; I paid the premium subscription. The website was difficult to use and would not allow me to message/communicate with potential caregivers without the other party accepting the job posting first. This led me to have to delete my job post/cancel the job, and then go through the process of re-posting it, when I found out the potential caregiver's schedule would not work with my needs. When I tried to report the difficulty of website and app use to customer service, I was told "yeah, we will let someone know", I requested a refund because it seems like this would be difficult to use to find a caregiver and was told no refunds. Be aware! Their practice is borderline scamming people.

    My elderly mother signed up for care.com to try and help her find a caregiver. She though she was paying to the annual option of ***** a month cancel anytime membership, but then got charged for the entire year all at once. I tried to contact and just keep going round and round with a chat robot. This app is supposed to help elderly people find care, but take advantage of them.

    Care.com app is very biased and very one-sided?????I am extremely educated and experienced as a personal care associate (16 yrs) as I also hold a bachelors degree in health and human services! I have five star reviews and I have wonderful references! However, I had a problem with one of my clients parent and they automatically delete my account without any questions from me and not to mention its been many many years ago, and they still will not allow me to be on their app ?! Id like to see somebody sue them someday ????? Extremely biased and discrimination for sure! Shame on you care.com. I hope another app comes out and ruins your ************
