Misleading Platform for Digital Nomads - Proceed with ************************* themselves as digital nomad-friendly, my experience with Furnished Finder revealed significant issues. After being clear about my remote work status in communications, I encountered a host who demanded immediate responses at unreasonable hours (7 AM) and abruptly canceled a viewing upon realizing I was a digital nomad.The platform essentially functions as a glorified ******* List. There's no protection system in place for either landlords or tenants, and users must extensively vet listings to avoid scams. The rental process is unnecessarily complicated compared to established platforms like *******Most concerning is their approach to feedback. After leaving honest negative reviews on their social media, FF deleted my comments repeatedly while sending me private messages claiming they "don't delete honest negative reviews." This dishonesty, combined with their lack of transparency, raises serious concerns about the company's integrity.While there are excellent private landlords and responsible tenants seeking connections, FF isn't the reliable platform it claims to be. **Buyer beware** Furnished finders operates using highly predatory subscription practices. Once you purchase a subscription, they will automatically sign your account up for autorenewal. They will claim that they have sent reminder emails regarding an upcoming subscription charge. This is inaccurate. When asked for the dates of these correspondence, they will send you arbitrary time stamps however these emails do not exist. ** will also increase the annual subscription rate without your knowledge or consent violating consumer protection laws. It is nearly impossible to speak to a representative or get a supervisor on the phone and when you do, "*****" will forget that this is the name she told you and will be very sorry however under no circumstances do they issue refunds.Furnished Finder, LLC

Their auto renewal is a scam. I called to cancel 11/11/24 one businesss day after Friday 11/9/24 when they charged me $149 for the upcoming year. The thing is I had called them to cancel the account the year before. They give no warning and said my listing was hidden and thats why I never had any inquiries the entire year. Why would anyone pay for a hidden listing. Go with ****** or other sites which dont engage in such dubious business practices and provide much better service to boot.Furnished Finder, LLC

1 starBe careful. They have predatory subscription techniques. I stopped using the service months ago. I run a subscription business myself and as with many businesses, if anyone reaches out for a refund within days of their subscription renewing, I refund them and cancel their service immediately because it's obvious they didn't want to renew. This is what most honest businesses do.But Furnished Finder instead has a 'policy' of never refunding subscription fees. This isn't the fault of the ** representatives but the product managers who created this predatory policy. Just read the other reviews and you'll see the same thing again and again. This company isn't a scam; they do provide a service. But be careful when you sign up and make sure you are paying super close attention to any fees they may charge because once they charge them, they won't ever refund them and blame it on you.Review fromDoug S

1 starI would give this company 0 stars, if I could (but it requires at least one star to save my review)! I am very upset that I was charged 99$ last year to sign up and received ZERO leads. I was then charged $149 less than 3 days ago, and immediately (within minutes of seeing it posted on my bank account the same day it was charged) and asked them to refund my card because I NEVER authorized $149 to be charged- ever. Not at the original sign-on date, and never after. They say they sent a reminder BUT, I never received and should have to acknowledge and OK a change in fees and a renewal. I requested a cancellation, but it has been impossible, even to open the account, without first signing a waiver that includes that the consumer can not enter into a class action lawsuit, and that they cannot be held liable for anything (no way am I signing that in order to even see my account info) ...yet, I do believe they are intentional making it very difficult for people to cancel and requiring automatic renewals no matter if the amount is different or not. I am angry that they will not honor my request for an immediate refund, given ZERO leads all of last year for a very nice, reasonably priced listing, even though no time lapsed from the charge to requesting a refund and cancellation. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS VENDOR WHO MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE TO CANCEL OR GET YOUR MONEY BACK! Total crooks!! And they won't even let you talk to a supervisor!! 1 starFurnished Finder site is not easy to use and they have an issue with messages from clients trying to scam you. Their customer service is terrible. They charge you when you send emails to cancel your account profile, because you are unable to do that online. Then they charge you anyway and won't credit you even if you cancel prior to the charges.Review fromCarla N

1 starI have been using Furnished Finder as a landlord. There are many fees involved as you pay for an additional subscription for leases and background checks. The annual fee of $149 simply allows you to post your listing and communicate with potential tenants. At the one year ***** I received an email that my subscription had automatically renewed. I was supposed to go into my account and disable auto renew. This was not made clear at all upon initial sign up. I called the day the charge went through and was told that there would be no refund. I have a permanent tenant and have had the listing disabled. Incredibly poor business. I will tell anyone that will listen to NOT use this site. I have been a landlord for 20 years with 3 rental homes and 2 ******'s. Very disappointing.Review fromAlisha M

1 starDon't expect any customer service or solutions to problems without MAJOR headache. Do expect auto-renewal and no refunds if you didn't realize that's the way they operate their business. I've been a customer for 4 years. I have experienced frustrations over the years, but there have been some attempts at keeping me as a customer up until recently. Maybe there's a change in ownership? If you ever have any technology issues, which are common, don't expect any refunds or anything that resembles customer "service." If you read other reviews you'll see that although what you're paying for is a website listing, that may have glitches, and no consequences or accountability on their side to fix or listen to what you bring to them. If they don't see it, they don't believe it. Heck, even if you provide screenshots of issues, it is still your fault somehow and because this is a non refundable service, which you somehow agree to when you sign up in fine print, then you are out the money whether they deliver a product that functions or not. I understand they cannot guarantee success in renting your place, but when leads don't come through, the listing doesn't show up on the map, your ID can't be verified because of their system being THAT glitchy, etc This is what you will likely pay for at some point in your membership, glitches and headaches. I believe I experienced once a year the past 4 years, but it's being handled differently now. No trying to fix it, no refunds, no care. I just purchased 2 listings, one which I haven't even created an ad for yet, and don't even plan to now because it's been such a terrible experience with the first listing. Take your money to one of the many other midterm rental/ travel nurse/sabbatical housing websites. I'm just going to forfeit the money and walk way. At this point I'd rather waste my money than try to go in circles after already so much wasted time trying to explain the tech issues I'm experiencing, to no avail.
