1 starBrought my car in January for fuel pump recall. Fuel pump recall was done incorrectly, causing gas fumes to spew into the cabin, making it a physical hazard to operate. I was told by their service manager to drive it in, it should be fine if there's no blinking check engine light, despite my concerns of breathing in or igniting gas fumes. I stood my ground and told them to send a flatbed. While waiting for my car to be fixed, I was brought into a private room on two separate occasions to be yelled by their service manager and general manager. The service manager lost his cool and yelled at me "IS IT SAFE FOR YOU OR THE CAR" when I told him he was in the wrong for insisting that I could drive the car to the dealership. The general manager yelled at me about if I've ever made mistakes at work before. Now I have to bring it back for a third time for this same issue because the technicians forgot to attach my belt buckle on the seat belt when reinstalling my seats. Hopefully I'm not yelled at for wanting my car to meet the safety standards it did before I ever brought the car to service with them.Review fromLuis P

For 2 days been trying to get trade in offer and numbers for a vehicle I am ready to purchase. Didnt even questioned their price just needed numbers in paper to move forward with deal. Texted wit the salesperson. Response my manager is reviewing it now at around noon.I called the dealership to try to speak with the manager as expected no answer once transferred. Comunicate with sales Person once again 4 hours later. Answer. We are waiting on him to send you the figures It always amazes me when there is not a survey or a review attached to a sale clients gets dismissed. Such a shame even called dealer to speak with the so called manager and not a call back either. I assume clients are in abundance so losing one doesn't matter as long as there is not a survey involved. Very disappointed.Howdy Honda

1 starPurchased a 2011 Honda Pilot in February 2023. They had just gotten the vehicle in as a trade when I looked at the car. The vehicle had a huge crack in the windshield and a check engine light. A week later I was able to pick the vehicle up, assuming that they were going to do a full tune up on the vehicle and make sure that whatever was causing the check engine light to be on fixed. The day after I picked it up the battery light stayed on. On the way to pick my children up the vehicle completely died. Tried contacting the dealership as I had purchased the power train warranty but was told the alternator is not a covered part. So I forked out $300 for a brand new alternator. The day after that was replaced, the tensioner pulley bolt snapped off. After many phone calls and telling the used car manager that I was extremely unhappy in purchasing a vehicle and literally having it for a day before it completely broke down on me was unacceptable. They sent their tow truck to pick it up and fixed the issue. However, fast forward to December 2023 I ended up having the same issue. Had it towed to the dealership to utilize my warranty that I purchased and come to find out not a single thing was actually covered. Had to have it towed home. Come to find out they never did a full tune up on the vehicle, nor did they bother replacing the part that was causing the alternator to go bad. A bad gasket in the *** Solenoid leaking oil all over the alternator. Fast forward to the beginning of April and I now have a check engine light on, and several misfire codes are what pulled up. Was told the air intake hose had a severe gash in it which was extremely old and had been there for quite some time. Purchased that and a whole set of spark plugs. Mechanic showed me the spark plugs that came out of my car and not a single one was new. Had a tune up been completed which it should have been done since I purchased the car at ****** miles. Dont waste your time. They sell lemons on the used lot.Review fromCrystal P

Customer *************************** purchased the 2017 GMC ****** on November 4th,2023. ******* the purchase process our customer was informed that the vehicle was sold to her in AS-IS condition which was acknowledged by the customers signature on the form. We encouraged the customer to take advantage of the opportunity to purchase the **************** Agreement which they declined.
The customer came into the dealership on 3/2/2024 (4 months after the purchase) with a service concern. The check engine light was on and the vehicle was running rough. We plugged the diagnostic scanner into the *** at no charge to the customer and found cylinder 6 has a misfire code (p0306). I informed the customer of the findings but also noticed that the plastic piece that covered the motor had was removed and was in the bed of the truck as well as bottle caps were in the engine compartment. Because of this we asked if someone had been working on this vehicle prior to bringing it in to our dealership. The customer stated that she had taken the truck to another shop who after working on the vehicle they informed her that the truck needed to go to the dealer for engine concerns.
Once we told the customer that any repairs would be their responsibility based on the as-is agreement, declining of the *** and having another shops attempt to repair the vehicle. The customer asked if there was anything else that we could do to help, at that point we offered to trade the customer out of their purchase into a different vehicle on our lot. We have the financing approved for the new vehicle and are just waiting on the customer to provide the documents required by the bank.Review fromRyan M

1 starI bought a car from Howdy Honda and I only had it for 2 months. I was on my way to work and my car just suddenly stopped working the gas pedal wasnt doing anything and I pulled over to restart my car and it stopped we thought it was the battery bought a new one and nothing! The hero people showed up and looked at my car and told me I had no oil! How do I get a car and it stops working because of no oil in 2 months! I went around mechanic to mechanic and they told me it my engine stalled up and everyone told me my car was up for a recall and I went to ******* dealership and the guy told me well the people you talked dont know anything and dont know what they are talking about. He told he gave me a rough guess depending on what it was and if it was the just the engine it would cost like 10k and thats outrageous for a car yall sold me with no oil. Ive been left with no vehicle for a month n a half and still making payments!Review fromDiane H.

1 starBought an auto warranty at the time I purchased my third vehicle from Howdy Honda. Was told by the sales rep "it was for the life of the car". Found out today by accident, its for 8 years or ******* miles whichever comes first. Took the car in, thinking the laundry list of items they have been presenting over the last year were"diagnosed" by the main floor. Come to find out, they were not, they were suggestions from the expedite service peeps. The service department charges $194.00 per item to be diagnosed, then they somehow forget you have a warranty and have to bring to their attention. I am sooo tired of having to remind the service people, that should be automatic, it was purchased from one of their sales people. And, with today's technology that info should be in the system. The $194.00 is over and above the warranty, mind you I have 5 items being "looked" at today. I feel I was ripped off, just think how much double dipping goes on, IF car purchasers forget they purchased a warranty. Quite possible, I could pay over $1,000 for some mechanic to say, "all that's not an issue to wait out the warranty". Howdy Honda is NOT what it used to be. You guys are severely lacking in honesty and integrity. I purchased my last 3 cars from Howdy Honda and all were serviced by them. This may push me over the edge and never go back.Review fromBryan G

1 starHowdy Honda missed the mark **** by a mile! I was searching online for a car for my daughter in a specific price range and I found a 2014 ******* Elantra Sport that "checked the boxes" . I called the dealership and spoke to **** (****after salesman) who was polite and professional. The car was available. I then asked what time they opened on Saturdays, he replied 9:00am. I then said, in no uncertain terms, that I would be t**** promptly . The following morning, while en route, I got a call from a sales manager, who identified himself as ****** (****after manager) who wanted to confirm I was still coming. I arrived at the used car sales area at 8:55am. I immediately saw a salesman who was showing a vehicle in the parking lot close the building. I looked around the building and a few people were in the waiting lounge, but no other sales personnel. The salesman finally showed up at 9:15 am. He explained that was that he was in a weekly sales meeting, a meeting which neither he nor the manager mentioned. The salesman then retrieved the vehicle. Although the salesman asserted that the car had been through service, by looking at the engine bay it was apparent it had not been within a mile of any service department. The motor oil was filthy (dark brown) but full. I looked at the air filter which contained trees leaves and pine needles; the salesman then summoned the manager. I mentioned to the manager how I was left waiting for 20 minutes, despite having notified them I was coming and he offered no explanation. Regarding the vehicle's condition, the manager explained that it was a "triple "s" car, meaning they only check if it starts, stops and steers. When we test drove the car, the engine sounded anything but healthy. It made knocking sounds similar to an engine that was low on oil. On the test drive the engine grew louder and louder. When we were yards from turning into the dealership, the engine died. In closing, if I could leave less than a 1 star review, I would.Review fromAustin B

1 starThe absolute most crooked group of used car salesmen. Still want my 40$ I had to put in their loaner while they put duct tape on a back bumper to fix it. Then changed the price up 2k and lowered the price on my trade in after signing a deal. Wasted my entire weekend and ended up keeping my car and am out 40 because they said they have no way of refunding 40$. Worst experience buying a vehicle ever. I will never be back.Review fromBrittney W

What an horrible experience! They overcharge my deposit by $2500 and the sales manager states "it was a lack of communication on our part but it will take 5 to 7 business days to be refunded" Now how fair is that to me. ??Then the financial manager come in and then blames me for the mistake. Like WHAT! ??Howdy Honda

************************ came in to purchase a used Insight on Saturday 5/27. She stated that she was going to put $3000.00 towards a downpayment and finance with her credit union. She left to retrieve her credit card which we charged the $3000.00 to her credit card. Once she received the receipt, she felt that she was to give a $500.00 deposit and would pay the $2500.00 balance the following Monday. We apologized for the miscommunication, at that time she appeared to be upset nor asked for a refund. When she came back in on Monday, she had decided not to purchase the vehicle and we promptly refunded her the $3000.00 to her credit card and explained that it might take 5-7 days before its credit shows with her bank. We do sincerely apologize for any miscommunication and confusion that we created.Review fromAllie G

I was looking for a specific vehicle make and model. Called the dealership and was told over the phone that they had inventory available (new and used) in the make and model I requested and that I could come by and start the process of purchase. The man on the phone knew of my situation and that I was needing to get into a vehicle immediately. I set aside time out of my day to visit the dealership, was paired with a completely different sales guy than the one who had said would assist me and it was just downhill from there. I was told by this man that there were no vehicles available, that I could only preorder or reserve the vehicle that I wanted, etc. I began to express my frustration since they obviously used a scammy method just to get my foot in the door and try to make a sale. The senior sales team member that was working with me argued with me for several minutes trying to convince me that I didnt need the features of the vehicle I was wanting and questioning me. I suppose since Im a woman I looks like I can be persuaded, but this isnt my first rodeo and Ive purchased many cars before. I became very frustrated with the attempted poor persistent negotiation on this mans behalf that I literally got up and stormed out of howdy Honda. I will never return, nor recommend to family and friends. These sales tactics are degrading and time wasting, much less insulting. Needless to say I found the exact model I wanted with my own research and it was a breeze without the stress. Kind of just hoping these dealerships die out eventually. Never again.Howdy Honda
