I took my 2020 Hyundai Elantra into South Point Hyundai because my front turning signals arent working. I purchased the vehicle from ********** Hyundai, but I couldnt get an appointment there until March 2025 I did purchase an extended warranty with my car when I bought it. The warranty didnt cover the turning signals, they said its my fault. They gave me a list of items that needed repair and were not covered by the warranty either. Approximately $1200.00 worth of work. The worse part of my complaint, they charged me almost $300.00 just to look at the vehicle, I declined the repairs, paid the $300 ($298.00) bill and left with nothing. Im not sure whats worse, purchasing a useless warranty, or having to pay $300.00 for them to look at my vehicle.

So far everybody has the same issue, their service department is finding ways to rip people off. I went to bring in my lease for its service, but needed to wait two months to get an appointment because they were booked solid. When I brought the car in they told me I needed to pay for the service now because I exceeded the mileage for the service. They made me wait two months to bring the car in, Im not keeping the car in one place while I wait. The brakes have been vibrating like crazy, like I said, this car is a lease. They were preparing to tell me I needed to pay for the brakes to. Wrong.I since brought the same car to the Hyundai in **********, and its been serviced, no cost, and the brakes were fixed, warranty.Id like to find a way to go further with this, thinking of small claims

This place is a COMPLETE RIP OFF! I took my car to South Point Hyundai after I went to ****'s Ultimate Automotive because ***** pulled codes that indicated the engine knock sensor was detecting an issue and the engine was experiencing a miss fire. I then had to wait 30 days for South Point Hyundai to get around to looking at it. South Point Hyundai informed me that there was nothing wrong with the car and it ran fine. I told them about the codes from ***** and they told me they had pulled no codes. They then said they wouldn't drive it because I needed new tires so I went to ****** from ******* and took the car to get new tires. The car did run but it was evident it was not right. I just took this opportunity to get it back to *******. South Point Hyundai then charged me $520 to do nothing but diagnostics and they didn't even get a single code or do any work on the car. I started the drive home and the Check engine light came on. So upon getting the car home I pulled codes using a Blue Drive Scanner. This report told me misfire on one cylinder and the *** was not communicating correctly. So, again I got codes when South Point Hyundai did not. I took my car to ******* Hyundai in ******, **. They said a diagnostic would cost me $99 and if I had the work done there they would apply the $99 to the repair ******* Hyundai pulled codes indicating a misfire on the #2 cylinder and let me know this would cause the *** to think there was a communication failure. ******* Hyundai fixed the car by replacing the ignition coil on the #2 cylinder. They also did a 4 wheel alignment on the car. My total bill came to $459.18. That is $62.82 less than what South Point Hyundai charged me to do nothing and they fixed the car. I would not recommend South Point Hyundai in any way, shape or form. In addition, the representative at Hyundai *** said that South Point Hyundai probably tweaked the car so it would run and they could charge me for the diagnostic because

Went for a recall fuel tube I been having some problems with my car overheating Concerned about it I did some research to see if the fuel tube was the cause I found out that a faulty fuel tube can actually lead to a car catching fire Alarmed by this information I made sure to inform the advisor about my concerns during my visit to the dealership However was disappointment the advisor didnt provide any clarity or reassurance regarding the potential connection between the overheating and the fuel tube but it seemed that they were not proactive in addressing this matter As well I wasnt informed that It would be charged To ensure I heard correctly my sister also asked the staff if there would be any charges for the service It was stated that there would be no charge I had received a confirmation email clearly stating the purpose of the appointment recall ONLY This miscommunication further complicated the situation and raised doubts about the dealerships organizational efficiency When it was time to pick up my car I received a text message saying I had to pay $519.17 for a diagnostic that I never ask for When I sign the tablet didnt inform me of a charge Confusion washed over me and I immediately contact my advisor for clarification However to my dismay she was unresponsive to any communication It seemed as though I was being ignored It was a frustrating experience exacerbating my growing sense of helplessness Finally after persistent efforts I managed to speak with the advisor She claimed that I had mentioned two concerns during our conversation However I firmly corrected her emphasizing that I had only mentioned the fuel tube to be done and jump battery so they can to move the car not a diagnostic on my entire car I emphasized that I am currently unemployed I made sure to communicate this to the dealership hoping they would understand my financial constraints Unfortunately to my situation displaying a lack of empathy and unwilling to acknowledge any mistake made

Called SouthPoint Hyundai Service on 9/18/23 because the horn on my 2022 Santa Fe isnt working . It wont even pass state inspection without a working horn (safety issue). Even explaining that part of the issue didnt help-I was told they would be glad to set me up with an appointment -in January of ****! 4 months from now! ****** area Hyundai dealers are terrible-theyre booked out for months, while competitors at ***** and ***** are about 1-3 weeks out for the same issue. Theyre still claiming pandemic supply issues, but it seems like other car dealers have figured it out by now. Dont buy a Hyundai-theyre glad to sell you one, they just cant service it.

I am very disappointed with the service I received at the dealership. I dropped off my vehicle to have some issues looked at (breaks, tire pressure light, and leaking sunroof). I was told by the worker that if I didnt get my car serviced there then I would have to pay a $180 service fee. I signed the waiver and left. There was no other talk of chargers/fees at the time. I received an email with a list of issues that my car had and how much it would cost ($7000). I declined through the email/website link to have the items fixed there (too expensive). I only decided to have the filters replaced (about $100) so I wouldnt have to pay the service fee. When I went to pick up my car the total was over $500. I was flabbergasted and asked to see an itemized list. I was charged three times for a service/diagnostic fee ($175) for each item I wanted checked out. I asked to talk to a rep and he said that since I didnt have the problem fixed with them that I had to pay the service fee. I explained that was not articulated to me when I dropped off my car. He pulled out the form I signed and asked if that was my signature. I said it was but there was not a price attached to that form. The rep removed two of the service fees but that was it. I ended up paying $250 for two filters and the $175 service fee. Also, when I got into my car the fabric near my sunroof had grease marks from them checking it out. I did not go inside to complain because I was already upset. I am beyond frustrated with the experience and amount of money I paid to basically have my car looked at.
