We are sorry to hear that the customer had an issue with our remanufactured engine. Upon the customer filing a claim our warranty technicians worked with the customer to resolve the issue the fastest way possible which in this case was to repair the engine. The engine was repaired, and the warranty parts and labor reimbursement were honored as well.

Worst customer service and awful engine quality. I bought an engine from them. I had to take it to a shop due to the horrible vibration in the motor. It was determined by AER and the shop that the motor was to be replaced. Once this was done and I paid over $2500 in labor to the shop. AER concluded that the motor wasn't the problem and I was not entitled to the labor claim. The replacement motor did resolve the vibration issue by the way. I advise to purchase motors from a different builder with a better reputation and customer service.

This engine was purchased with a manufacturing defect only warranty coverage. The distributor ****** purchased this through offers a couple different no fault warranty options which must've been declined by ******. Under a no fault warranty the labor would've still been covered even though the manufacturer determined there was not any manufacturing defects with the long block engine assembly. 3.8L Mustang engines were externally balanced through 2000 and then internally balanced starting in 2001. The crankshafts are different. The manufacturer has confirmed the correct crankshaft for internally balanced applications was installed in this engine. The manufacturer sim tested this engine at final assembly and had no issue with any vibration. Compression was good across the board, oil pressure was good, torque to turn was in spec as well. There are other outside influences that can cause vibration such as vacuum issues, motor mount issues, transmission mount issues, harmonic balancer and flywheel/flexplate issues. The manufacturer still shipped a replacement engine free of any charge to ****** along with the freight both ways even though no manufacturing defects were found and this only carries manufacturing defect warranty coverage.

In response. This purchase had the warranty on labor. The shop went through and checked any and all possibilities of a reason for the vibration. All of those items were requested by AER mfg. AER mfg. requested countless pictures and part numbers on all of external parts prior to them shipping out said replacement motor. AER mfg. are the ones who ultimately suggested the replacement occur. The only financial compensation I was looking for was minimal from AER. It was $50 dollars per hour to Remove and Replace motor. I was charged $120 per hour.
This just goes to show that this company wants to tote the line as far as the warranty.

As far as the faulty motor. I was only given information when I called and followed up.

Also, one last thing to consider before buying from this mfg. AER tore down the motor and according to the warranty representative they disposed of it? I wonder why? Evidence to what was really going on inside the motor?
